Big Boss is not someone to write a strongly worded letter. If he has an issue with us doing this? He'll most likely show up to fight us.
It's also how he shows affection and/or approval, to judge how both MSF and the DDs would cheerfully thank Big Boss for impromptu lessons in CQC and being slammed into metal decking while going about their duties!

If we are super lucky, he's on Mother Base during the transition.

DOUBLE BOSSES VERSUS THE EMPIRE, the hit new stealth beat-em up game from KK Studios!

Huey needs to be unboxed, all that stuff under him is unstable.

I mean, with the AI Pod mission, we could always just have him shot so he CAN'T do his parasite experiments. Then everythings fine.

Given the nature of the denuclearization, is one of the themes just straight up going to be the Persona 5 cast?

>Big Boss appears to fight Big Boss
>all of the D-Dogs are surprised and confused and maybe a little aroused.
>Ocelot squees like a little girl at seeing two Snakes.

The R&D guys would be going nuts because of them screaming about time travel and other insane theories!!!

Heck if big boss grabs David and appears with us? That shit gets even crazier with solid and liquid snakes competing like boys should be!

Also teach Eli damn gene-

Dear lord...why didn't I think of that before!!! FUCK!!! I got dnd today so I won't be writing until I get home but guys do a omake about teaching Eli how damn genetics work!!!

There's no reason for us to take the Huey side ops if we plan on bringing him to trial pased on the evidence found on the AI Pod, so doing the Huey side ops is a waste of action in Plan The Truth Will Out. Either we bring him to trial, or we try to fix his "issues", which would mean that we would have no need for the AI Pod. We need to choose one of these two options, right here and right now.

maybe they hope to guilt trip him into having morals?

Incorrect. It would still give us a massive leap forward in AI Research. I do agree that I think it's redundant.

@konamikode Is there any kind of synergy between doing the Huey Side Op and the AI Pod Retrieval? Or does retrieving the pod and bringing Huey to trail make talking with him in his side op Redundant?

Might be a great omake (I'll try writing it)
The ruse is revealed due to event, Ahab faces Snake in front of DD. Emotions flying high, DD's +Ahabs actions changed everything.
Ahab vs Snake, fighting over what it means to be Big Boss failures, successes, dreams...

Oh man wow I'm tearing up thinking about it. I think I might write something great here... I hope. I'll try and see if I can get it out before Sunday.

You know I had an omake idea I wanted to throw out: a look into Eli's head where we see why he is so angry at everything. His very existence is an attempt to recreate big boss after he left the Patriots and he hates the fact that he is constantly living in snake's shadow. Cue the times he tries to kill big boss as an attempt to escape that legacy. His every action an attempt to be more than just a failed copy to an old soldier.

Your thoughts?

Thhhhhhat's pretty much the actual factual situation here sooooo I'd work I guess.

Big Boss and DD VS the Legendary Brown Bear Comedy Version by cokerpilot
Big Boss and DD VS the Legendary Brown Bear
Comedy Version

Sometime ago.

It was late afternoon as the Boss and DD hunted an unusual target in the Afghan wilderness. A fearsome foe that both the Soviets and the Mujahideen had put a hefty bounty on. Both sides had suffered numerous casualties from encounters with it, and all attempts to hunt down and deal with it had met with failure. Both sides in the Afghanistan war had taken to calling it the White Death, and had all but abandoned the area it roamed. But the oddest part was that this terrible monster was, according to eyewitness accounts, a brown bear.

Honestly, Snake had dealt with stranger things so he chose not to give it to much thought. After carefully going over the reports from both sides, the intel team narrowed down its primary area of operation and likely home. An area of steep cliffs, caves, and narrow passes. Nestled between two major staging areas frequently used by anyone trying to operate in this area of Afghanistan. It was the perfect place for someone or something to vanish in, and an ideal home for such a dangerous bear. Hunting a normal bear in such an environment would have difficult even for someone of Snake's caliber. A bear with a reputation such as this would have been a nightmare without DD along.

Luckily It hadn't taken DD long to find the bear's scent. What wasn't lucky was that DD seemed to be indicating that the bear was up on one of the higher ledges in the pass, and the only way up seemed to be a long and difficult climb. Snake wasn't one to shrink from a challenge, so after stowing his gear he began to climb. He had almost made it to the top of the ledge when a large white bear abruptly poked its' snout over it and looked down at him.

The two of them stayed in their respective positions staring at each other in near stillness till Snake spoke. "Are you sure you're a Brown Bear? I don't see any brown at all."

The bear snorted in reply and promptly swatted the Boss off the ledge.

**************

Snake's second attempt at catching the Legendary Brown Bear involved him carefully scouting the area from a distance, trying to observe the creature's behavior and habits. It had proven difficult. More than once what he had thought was the bear had turned out to be some other animal. It also didn't help that several times that he had managed to catch sight bear it had seemed to disappear into thin air. Still, after more than a day of tracking and observation he had figured out the primary paths the bear seemed to stick to, and it's more common haunts.

Snake set himself up on a nearby ledge that overlooked the area with a tranq rifle and a camo net. After double checking to make sure he was downwind from the area he would be watching for the bear in, he ordered DD to watch his back and began to scope the area. Several hours passed as he waited, his vigil only occasionally interrupted by the movement of some small animal in the pass below. It was approaching night when he finally saw a shadow, the right size and shape, emerge from one the entrances to the pass. He brought his rifle up and zeroed in on the target and waited for a better angle. The shape moved forward and he had the shoot. Snake began to press down on the trigger, but then let up when the bear stepped into the light. It was just an ordinary brown bear. Sighing he lowered his rifle again then froze when he heard the sound of DD whining and a quiet crunch behind him. He quickly rolled over bringing up his rifle as he did.

The action was too late. Even as he brought the rifle up, it was smacked out his hand by the large white bear that had somehow gotten right behind him. His hands snapped to his tranq pistol as DD desperately lunged at the bear, trying to take its attention off Snake. But he was simply slapped away by the bear's large paws. Snake managed to get his pistol out and three shots off before he once again found himself falling off a cliff edge thanks to the efforts of the white bear. It was with some irritation that he realized that the damn bear had managed to get downwind from him before he hit the ground.

*************

Snake's third attempt involved tracking the dastardly bear to its cave at night. After waiting for several hours to make sure the damn thing was asleep, he made doubly sure of it by tossing in a full belt of sleeping gas grenades. Putting on a gas mask, Snake moved inside cautiously his tranq pistol out and ready. He was not going to take this bear lightly anymore. Unfortunately for him other than some chewed animals and pool of water he found the cave to be empty. Before he could give it much thought he heard the sound of DD barking in alarm. Racing out of the cave he found DD crouched in a defensive posture facing the white bear. Snake took a moment to note that the fur of the bear was soaking wet, before grabbing DD and jumping off a nearby ledge under his own power this time.

************

The fourth time Snake attempted taking down his new nemesis he equipped the Battle Dress, the stun shotgun, and a rubber bullet loaded submachine gun. This time Snake found the bear almost immediately as if it could sense the challenge and sought him out. While the shotgun had some effect the submachine gun only seemed to annoy the bear and despite his and DDs best efforts he once again found himself flying off the side of a ledge.

*************

The fifth time Snake hunted the bear he found himself stuck in a massive sandstorm. Luckily the area was riddled with caves and he and DD were able to find shelter. Frustratingly though he found his shotgun to be jammed up and beyond field repair. He started taking apart his pistol to check it over, when a large shadow appeared at the entrance to the cave. Just barely visible in the sandstorm Snake realized with growing frustration that perhaps the hunter had become the hunted as the White Death entered the cave.

In desperation, Snake fired off his rocket punch at the monstrous creature, when it simply caught the fist in its' mouth Snake simply couldn't find it himself to be surprised. As DD stood protectively in front of him letting out a quiet growl, Snake found himself wondering if this was how the Legend of Big Boss ended.

Mauled to death by a bear in a cave. Hell of an ending to the tale of Big Boss.

The White Death seemed to regard him and DD for a moment before, with flick of its snout, it tossed the arm back at the Snake. Catching it reflexively, Snaked watched in befuddlement as it rather than attack the bear simply went a little deeper in into the cave and curled up. The bear watched him and DD wearily but not with any obvious hostility. Snake kept himself on guard for a few minutes before he decided it was safe to reattach his prosthetic arm. With careful slowness, he finished cleaning his tranq pistol and reassembled it. Eventually, even DD stopped growling. Although DD relaxed a bit and curled up next to him, Snake noted that there was still some tension in the wolf's mussels and he never took his eyes off the bear.

The three of them sat in awkward silence for a few hours as the sandstorm died down. Snake noted the bear slowly lifting itself and stretching before approaching the entrance to the cave. Perhaps it sensed the end of the storm approaching. A moment later Snake's iDroid beeped and confirmed his suspicion. The White Death ambled outside as the winds finally died down, and Snake began to resign himself to another failure. He was surprised however as he exited the cave and found it waiting for him. It stood in the middle of a clearing in the pass with no obstacles around and the land mostly flat. The White death tilted its' head at him then with an odd grace lifted itself on to its back legs and put its front paws out in front of it. Then it's right back leg slid back a bit and it assumed what looked suspiciously like a fighting stance.

Snake stared in confusion for a moment before realization dawned on him. The White Death was challenging him to CQC. With a roar that shook the heavens, Snake ripped off his shirt and approached the halfway to the Bears position. DD let out a small whine of confusion but followed along. Snake smiled down at DD then looked across at the bear.

"Don't worry DD, this Bear, no... The White Death has come to respect us. And as such has challenged us to CQC. It's strength and mass versus our skill and technique. Nature versus man. Overwhelming power versus perfect teamwork. Our burning will versus its stubborn determination. One final fight between us to decide the outcome of our feud."

Snake took up his combat stance and DD, who seemed to be getting caught up in his enthusiasm, tensed into a ready stance next to him. A moment of silence passed and then in unison, the three combatants charged.

**************************

As Snake and DD got on the chopper for extraction Pequod glanced back and did a double take.

"What the hell happened to you, Boss?"

"I'm fine." the Boss replied with and oddly pleased tone of voice. "Just had a run in with a hell of a fighter... I look forward to seeing him back at base."

*************************

Kazuhira Miller started at the report with a look of utter bafflement on his face.

"He fultoned the bear!?"

It's the most Metal Gear thing that can happen right?

I'm super surprised HK didn't have it in MGSV.

Huey is the one doing worm hole so it will be rather expensive if we just kill him.
*Shrug* Yeah and us exiling him wouldn't cause the price to increase either? Honestly considering the text in the Turn Results said 'Something Comes' I'm honestly thinking Huey started poking things that shouldn't be poked and something noticed him.

I mean, with the AI Pod mission, we could always just have him shot so he CAN'T do his parasite experiments. Then everythings fine.

or we could do it the smart way and fix his fucking brain, because his brain is actually pretty useful if we can unfuck it.
