Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

I mean that it was meant to be the same as putting a vote that begins with "[q]", except taking advantage of the fact that write ins are forbidden to make it get ignored despite having an "x".
Just put a [q] in it then, write in votes are banned, regardless of what you think should be ignored.
This is your punishment, you don't get to wriggle out of it.

While this is a viable thing to do (and it was rather obvious even without the explanation), Rukia obviously does not like it. So please do not do it again.

Let me also turn people's attention to the threadmark title. It is "Continue: Y/N"

This vote just might decide if gamer girl ends up dead.
Think a little and don't follow me like Lemmings. Plx.
Now which option is likely to do what my fellow questers?

[X] I have to know

I'm not interested in letting this plot thread die here. And I'm not particularly interested in letting gamer girl die either. I want to know what's going on, and I personally would appreciate it if Cerys maintained at least some personality of her own besides 'Gaia's good little girl'. Playing as nothing but Gaia's obedient weapon strikes me as not only disturbing but frankly a little bit boring.

...Sooo just to be sure, does asking about her actually makes sure she lives, or does it garuntee her death?
I almost wonder if it's a reversed situation here, where asking only makes things worse because she's a pawn for the enemy, and Gaia wishes to try and turn her, as opposed to us asking and being too nosy for our own good, and Gaia going 'I need to run some information control' that ends with the isekai girl dead?

Well...
Breath tingles on your neck, despite your hud telling you that you are alone. "Now." Something burgeons around you, cracks spreading through the void. "You will tell me what you know, one way or another."

It would be for the best if you put her existence out of your mind.

What do you think it does?

General reminder: Gaia does not really care for individuals, only for humanity as a whole.

I don't imagine Gaia being very gentle with her.

Gaia almost never puts off our curiosity even when it exposes Cerys to things that may put a damper on their relationship. I think Cerys can trust there's a legitimate reason that that we would be better off not knowing, some knowledge is best never learned despite spacebattles tendencies.

OOC: Isekai/SI expy is kind of ew. Never having us see her again + Gaia gaining knowledge pertaining to fighting Shiva-Sil's use of these abominations is a big + to me. With her interrogations, hopefully Gaia can come up with good countermeasures and prepare us.

Well yeah. Considering she apparently met and had something done to her by Shiva-Sil, who is pretty much Gaia's biggest enemy, she is not going to let her walk.

Yep, and knowing all that I am still voting to likely get her killed.
[X] Listen to Mother

If you do not want that, choose the other option.

Whom'st the fuck is Shiva-Sil tho? Am I missing a reference? Did I forget some kind of detail?

[X] Listen to Mother
...Sorry girlie but I'm thinking that yes, we should just listen. Because I'm a little too concerned that trying to help you ends poorly, if not because Gaia feels the need to kill you out of being Shiva's pawn, then from us trying too hard to talk to you/clearly mistrust her at a crucial point in time.

You do understand that voting "[] Listen to Mother" is the vote that is the opposite of compassion, right?
I was referring to the part where Cerys punched Sabina to make her stop terrifying the Girl further. Not to the specific vote option.

Well, when you put it like this... Changing vote then. Though it doesn't help my now firmly seated belief that Gaia POV would have been much, much better for this section.

[X] I have to know

Last time we believed unconditionally, we got Karen's treatment. Let Cerys have the information.

Two things coming soon.
EDIT: Current tally inserted (8 for knowing, 6 for listening). Joke roll for Cerys' sanity (34 on d100, higher is better) made with internal roller.
Adhoc vote count started by Faraway-R on Mar 24, 2018 at 12:10 PM, finished with 8846 posts and 15 votes.
Faraway-R threw 1 100-faced dice. Reason: Cerys Sanity (J/k)(High-Good) Total: 34
34 34

"The Twin Gods of Destruction" is their title; they are a mainline-antagonist whose goal seems to be to strip the whole Local Dimensional Cluster into a wasteland devoid of life.
Ah, good to know, I don't really follow any other MG quests of this type and for a moment it was some kinda morrowind crossover. Sotha-Sil and all that. This antagonist doesn't seem like the brightest spark with their choice of champion.

Well, Shiva-Sil is supposedly seen by other Divine Beings as basically committing suicide by fighting Gaia, who is much more powerful.
