Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

I just want to point out a few things looking back.
"It actually one of the reasons I wander everywhere, I want to see her face, even if I can never tell another. I want to see things that no-one else ever has." She starts smiling now, her voice showing clearly just how much enthusiasm she has for her choice. "I want to see the beings that shaped the world, I want to talk to Gaia, I want to see the mounds of the dead in Mexico, I want to see if there really is a Dragon still living in England, I want to see if there really are monks that live atop the mountains of China still-" She cuts herself off at this point as she realises that she's started babbling about her goals. She sports a little blush on her face and she's breathing a little hard.

Ignoring your sister you look back to Morgan, calmed down from her little rant as she starts speaking. "So... yeah. I'm actually downplaying it but I'm really exited about meeting you. One of Gaia's Magical Girls is an incredibly rare person to find and you girls almost always find and see amazing things!"

"One last question then." You lean forwards a little. "You said you like interesting things, what did you mean by that. You seen all sorts of cool things?"

She stops you from heating the meat now, it being a slight golden-brown colour. She takes a bite and chews it for a little bit before letting out a smile. "It's good, safe to eat." You and Una both take some and start tearing into it, it is good. God, it's been a long time since you had the opportunity to eat meat cooked like this. "My parents are explorers, they love seeing places never seen and areas unexplored. I however, live for seeing interesting things. Rituals passed down for a thousand years, the birth of a magical being, the truth behind the magical division of Hitlers SS, why there is a great barren wasteland in Russia." She is smiling a little wildly as she talks now. "I want to know the truth behind these things, I want to know."
She really wants to meet Gaia and interesting things and wouldn't you know we have a non stop ticket straight to her and an ancient giant turtle. I really don't want to leave her behind, I know it's stacked against us but still...

Also.
"In all honesty, they do good and they protect the world from a dozen different things. But in reality, they poke their fingers into everything and push everyone around until you do what they say. If you don't conform to their little view of how the world works they'll imprison you and lecture you until you 'see the Light'. Problem being that they have the ability and will to do this to anyone and for any length of time."
Wow, you could replace Light with Karen and you wouldn't even be able to tell the difference.:V

[] {Morgan} As Gaia Wills....do you want to see her and her wonders, join me and you can hug Una anytime?

How's this?

...Preeeeeety sure Cerys isn't going to just offer Una up as a bribe to someone who's related to Karen. Not after a betrayal of that magnitude.

Sorry Jrin but this wouldn't work at all, it's like you're baiting Morgan to go with us and that bit about Una is ooc.

I hope Sinarblood will elaborate on the one liner. But it seems to be a good choice?

Now, I know it might seem strange to you guys.
But the pre-made votes were put there for a reason.

You don't have to use the write in option.

Two of the fundamental rules of Magical society are
1. Don't piss off Gaia
2. Comply with Gaia's wishes whenever or wherever she appears.

Morgan had asked what we are doing

By replying As Gaia Wills, you shut down her ability to protest or try to stop you, which in turns makes it easier to recruit Sabina because Morgan can't object, and so can't try to convince her to stay.

It would take more than that to convince her to betray her mother figure though.

Ah that work but can we bring Morgan with us instead of leaving her?
Could you add something more to that effect?

Yeah but we want to bring Morgan with us (or at least a good chunk of us do) and none of the premade votes seem geared towards convincing her of that?

Or you know, we could.

It just takes some work.

  • [X] {Morgan} Explain to Morgan that Karen has made it clear she's only willing to ensure Una's safety as long as you remain obedient. Gaia objected privately and offered you a way out.
-[X] You don't want to be controlled, and you don't want Una under the gun. So you're leaving. You're not going to fight for Karen any more. Not if she won't actually guarantee your sister's safety.
-[X] Explain to her that she's welcome to come with you or not as she chooses, but you won't let her stop you. You're not completely sure what Gaia has planned, but a lot of people are going to die in the name of making humanity the strongest it can be for when the barrier falls.
-[X] Her choice. You'd like her to come, you'll definitely miss her if she doesn't, but you won't force her to abandon friends and family, or to follow you into danger.
[X] {Sabina} Karen betrayed us and it's time for me to leave; it's up to you if you want to stay or come with me, but I would like to have you

[x] "Karen, or Una, you have 5 seconds to decide who you care about more. I don't blame you for this."

Ok, how about this?

[X] {Morgan} "What's best for my sister. Gaia gave me a way out, but I don't want to leave you behind either. I took a leap of faith with you before, I'm asking if you can do the same right now."

Una is the main reason we're doing this, it's why we went with Morgan and took Karen's offer in the first place, instant security for her. It's something that Morgan understands very well after spending time with Cerys, she even saw in the very beginning.
She smiles softly at you, looking at the scene, a quiet peaceful air between you. "I don't have any siblings to compare it to, but from what I've seen you really are an amazing sister." You blush and try to say something but she gently interrupts you. "Everything you do is for her, take this from someone who can read people's magic to see who they really are. You are an amazing big sister who loves her little sister so very dearly." There is a period of silence where you try to think of something to say. "Never doubt what you do for her, what you've done for her. You've done an excellent job raising her."

You feel a sting in the corner of your eyes as you gaze down at Una. You hug her close as little streams of tears run down your cheeks and revel in how she shifts back to burrow deeper into you in her sleep. You hear Morgan stand and start walking away.

thank you

I'm Letting Morgan know that Gaia has a plan instead of just a mad dash out of London like she might be thinking Cerys is going to try or something else equally dangerous/crazy. Should I elaborate? Or will Cerys explain it?

And for the last part I believe it's accurate. They just stumbled into each other, a brand new magical girl with a little sister and a mysterious mage that sleeps in trees. :V

What Morgan was offering sounded good but even then there was still apprehension within Cerys. Buuut even without knowing everything she decided to risk trusting someone in a very long time and went with her. I hope that Morgan can too.

[X] {Sabina} Karen betrayed us and it's time for me to leave; it's up to you if you want to stay or come with me, but I would like to have you

[X] {Escape Plan} Blow a hole in the ceiling and fly out

Edit: Wait! Should we let go of her? I think we should, we have a hard grip on her.

[X] {Morgan} I'm doing as Gaia wills, you are welcome to come with me, you might even get a chance to meet her if you do, but it won't be an easy road to follow at all.

[X] {Sabina} I will be going where the battle is thickest, follow me

[] {Escape Plan} Walk out the front door
[] {Escape Plan} Run out the front door
[] {Escape Plan} Blow a hole in the ceiling and fly out

Made a minor edit to the Sabina vote since we might not be gearing into the thick of battle right away. Made an attempt at pulling Morgan with us.

...I really don't like the 'blow a hole in the ceiling' plan though... So i'm Really unsure of what to choose for escape. Maybe a conditional plan? If Morgan is with us walking out seems pretty viable, but if she's not, I think we might be forced to go destructive...

[X] {Morgan} Say nothing, continue holding her and drag her along with you

"Mine now"

[X] {Sabina} I am going where the battle is thickest, follow me

"Come with me, fight everyone"

[X] {Escape Plan} Blow a hole in the ceiling and fly out

Expediency

[] {Morgan} Gaia awaits, come please?

It would be nice if you add 'please' at the end of sentence in a hopeful tone, in a way really subtle begging for her to come.

"Wanna see something really neat?"

But yeah, I'm sticking with what I have for now, while people work on their write-ins

[X] {Morgan} Say nothing, continue holding her and drag her along with you
[X] {Sabina} I am going where the battle is thickest, follow me
[X] {Escape Plan} Walk out the front door

I think this combination might be better.
If she thinks we're just stalking outside in a huff she's probably not going to put as much effort into stopping us, on the reasoning that she could simply track us and flip us again later.

I'm pretty sure it's just the mentality that we can do better, you know find that perfect write in even if it doesn't exist.
I saw that mentality screw over so many votes.

Bringing Morgan to follow Cerys requires either a stroke of luck so great that translating it into d100 would warrant enough crits for the UL to win the Eternal War before the barrier falls... or a lot more than just one line.

If you want to bring her, you should think hard about what you want to say to her, and how, then pack that up in a vote of at least ten lines for Morgan alone.

But let me give you one hint: SV is at its worst when using direct speech. Things work out a lot better if you word your vote as 'Tell her about X' instead of ' "Oh, by the way, X happens because of A and B and C" '.

Alright, so I want to actually put together a Morgan acquisition plan, so here's my first shot.

That... looks alright as far as I can see. Not saying it will work, seeing that I can not look into Rukia's head. But I have no real objections.

However, I am a little concerned about the marked part; can not really say why, just a gut-feeling that something about it is off... maybe it feels a little too much like Cerys is forcing Morgan to make a decision to me. Or maybe... hm... ah, I guess it sounds too much as if Cerys tries to goad her into this, with the promise of a chance to direct the course of events somewhat being the bait.

Might just be me, though.

Don't I know it too...

Well I was trying to make a write in but Spec's done a good job so I'm going to go with that one.

No, I see it too. I would think that if Gaia is going to personally help out then Morgan might guess she'll get to see her. Maybe it would be best to elaborate on the plan? I don't exactly want Karen to know the specifics because I can see Morgan telling if she stays though.

[X] Naron

Also Guys? do you want to just ditch Morgan? Because Sinar said "as Gaia will" is not enough.
