Magical Girl Quest - The Fire That Burns

Hm... those people were in Germany, I doubt they are around.
I can add a note to have them submit her thanks, though.
I put it in the talk with Karen; the common enforcers probably do not have any way to contact their colleagues in Germany.

Eh... Cerys is not social enough to invite random soldiers to come watch.
There might be other people anyway, but she is really not the person to do this.

Fair enough. I actually thought about it and figured that a week is too long either way.
But I think it is only fair to give her the silent treatment for the rest of the day; she did do something she really should not have.

Cerys working it out IC is a good idea, but there is nothing wrong with giving her a nudge; she probably talk about this with Morgan once the 'punishment' is over.

She actually has that already... and I wrote "like this and that", so Cerys should do all the others that might be more common as well... but I can add that in.

Changes in red:

Actually, Daiyu's regeneration is ENTIRELY dependant on having someone to protect. If she's fighting alone or she's out of battle, she doesn't regenerate.

Having a Regeneration spell in hand never hurts anybody.

About Daiyu and her magic though. Don't you think Cerys should explain what she tried to do with experimenting? It would serve as a cautionary tale to be careful.
Good point, I will add a note about that.

I knew I should have given myself some time to wake up before writing this.
Was there anything we got for the fifth level on Alpha and Omega? Or does it go without a Milestone on that one?

That should have been this:

Unrelenting
-Daiyu will continue fighting to protect her friends until her body is completely destroyed. So long as she is fighting alongside an ally, she regains 20% health per turn and is immune to body modifiers.

Fighting with rather than protecting, the wording matters.
I don't know why SV reverted it when I changed it a while ago.

You can now use Alpha and Omega with Daiyu inside it radius without hurting her.
Only Daiyu. Well, technically any of the three knights but...

This is a start... so we will probably get better at controlling it with higher levels... and the same might go for Ignition Aura.
Which means that this plan was definitely, definitely worth it.

I think this is the first time you mentioned that PtV girl was a Knight. It was expected but interesting, that the first 3 magical girls follow a theme.

And in threes too! Gaia certainly doesn't lack dramatic flair (actually, is there a significance to that? Does it make the magic stronger if they have a similar theme or they follow a specific convention?).

Thank you for the confirmation.
... Say, could you add a note on who is unaffected below the respective aura? May as well be invisible, but that would help a lot in keeping an eye on it later.

Additionally, which day is it? How long was Cerys asleep?

Aside from the above, an hour has passed.
Cast your votes, fellow Questers!

well, many humans believe things are more powerful in threes or sevens, and since magic is enforced by belief it'll make it more powerful :p

How disappointing, fine but it must happen soon since its better for soldiers and enforcer get an idea of how we work and feedback from it otherwise things happen no matter how well we plan for it.

After we get used to Daiyu and train with her some, I'd like to train with the soldiers too. It's a good option, it's just that Daiyu kind of edges them out in terms of usefulness for the time being.

Can do.

Your mission was on the 12th, you slept from the 12th, through the 13th bar your brief wake-up, then you were bed-bound for the 14th. It is currently the 15th, a Monday.

Your idea won't really work. In general, each MG have their own theme, their own fighting style, their own spell, etc.

Most of of the time, the only guideline they have to follow is: Don't get in MG's way.

Most of the exceptions come from the fact the MG wasn't much stronger than the mook.

Edit: At least, for now.

Thank you.
By the way, I took another look at Daiyu's sheet and found her suddenly having 400 Health.
However, her Armoured Soul is still level 2.

Does the extra come from elsewhere, or did you forget to update the Ability?

Her base health back when she started was 300. Each level of Armoured Soul brings it up by 100.

Then she would have 500.
It was 300 when the sheet got updated... and at this point, it had Armoured Soul at level 2 already.

This is the other MG that was created at the same time as you.

If anyone can donate me a good Sword and Shield image for this character, I would much appreciate it. I spent two hours fruitlessly searching for one but...

300 was her health back when she started. If Rukia placed her health as 300 when he updated the sheet, I think it was a mistake.

To an extent that is true but there's ideas due to our cultural and military history, MG mindset is a bit inflexible base on their skills and themes but outside perspective will complement their skills.
Any interesting ideas we get from them is worth it even if it doesn't pan out, they may not know our understanding of our skills but they can help work out the kinks in the field and they been in all sorts of situation so hard won experience is useful to expand from our skill to a general manner.

We have to wait for Rukia on that one anyway.

However, logic would dictate that she has started on 100 Health as well, just like we did.
When Rukia first posted the sheet, the system had yet to be overhauled and Armoured Soul did not exist.

After all, we did not get any initial buffs on our damage or anything else, either; we had to work things out.

...speaking of back then, I just realised something.
Imagine we would not have critted on that one roll really early on, the one that gave us Thermal Control.
We might have gotten it later anyway... but imagine we would have had to go through the early game without it.
:o

I've tweaked her stats slightly to represent her Tank status.
Her stats before were just placeholders.

She gets 100 health per level in Armoured Soul and her Base Resilience is higher so it scales much faster.

I've updated The Manual to show her levelling and fixed her levels because I am derp.

Do you understand why I called BULLSHIT at that roll?

Damn Daiyu's tough.

For those who haven't checked, her base resilience calculation is 20*1.4^(level). Right now her resilience is 77.

If she was at the same level as us (level 7), she would have 210 resilience.

At Level 20, she has 16,734 resilience.
