Even if I wanted too help. I know next too nothing about this time apart from maybe some grander broad stroke of general history

I wish you good luck writing.
If it helps very much liked what I read so far.

Alrighty...

So I've got some news that may sadden the lot of you all but... Hear me out.

I have just gotten confirmation that Plaus will not be returning to the Quest. And that Cyber is leaving the team permanently to focus on his studies.

Yeah... So it's just me now.

I do not know how to feel about this now.

And frankly, I'm scared that I am about to fuck this all up without help.

This is not a call or recruitment for some help. I am not that desperate to ask for such things, even though I probably should.

This is just a state of the quest that I feel you should all know about.
You've got an Entire thread behind you, what do you need my friend?

Doesn't need to be just the period. Someone who can translate appropriate French, check Grammer, act as a sounding board for ideas, there's plenty to contribute without being a history major.

Of those the only one I will promote in sounding board. For my Grammer is shit and my understanding of French even more so.

Oh and uh…I'm almost finished with those new army spirits…

They are good… and bad in a way. You'll love it.

Honestly, @Magoose, I'm with you in this Quest. Come what may.

BUT. We should still have a few years of peace between the Great Powers. Because otherwise, any continental War will turn into another massive curbstomp in our favor right now. The other powers are just too weakened to be much of a threat right now. They should rebuild first.

If you wanna concentrate on fighting for the near future...well, we're about to go and try to stabilize Spain. Should be plenty of opportunity to fight there.

Or, alternatively, you could do a timeskip after we're done in Spain.

I'd like to request that you use your GM fiat to keep the expies of fictional persons confined to the Civil War quest, but beyond that I'm feeling optimistic.

My apologies, I've removed the bit (presumably, anyway) that offended you.
Not me personally, but this is not the 'complain about RWBY-Characters I don't like'-Thread. I actually don't watch the Series myself, but I know many others do and like the Character of Jaune Arc. That bit was just inviting unnecessary negativity into this thread. And I've seen threads dragged down by this stuff, so I wanted to preempt that.

Normally I like to stay out of arguments unless they get real bad and then i tell them to stop or call the mods.

But there are threads elsewhere for other subjects…

This is the la chanson thread… for la chanson.

Please keep that in mind..

And also there is one more thing.

All the omake bonuses are not going away, but I may change how it's organized and how much I'm giving out per omake.

I'd like to second this, I like your writing Magoose and it doesn't bother me over much in your civil war quest, but La Chanson isn't built for that kind of thing, and because of that I doubt you'd do it but I'd like to get my thoughts out there anyway on the offchance.

I think you'll do fine though, there is already a pretty stark difference between early Plaus lead La Chanson and what is La Chanson now, I don't think a continuation of what it's been sans Cyber is going to be a super horrible thing.

On that note though can you please start putting the vote that won in spoilers at the top of the updates, as someone who binge read this like a week or two ago, it's about the only thing that I really desperately miss from the Plaus days, it's really hard to know what won when you aren't going through the thread constantly.

At most what we'll get are Characters like Richard Sharpe from the Works of Bernard Cornwell in the Quest (I already wrote a Canon Omake-Series featuring him), which really isn't a big deal, considering that he and others like him are placed in this Era anyway in their original Works.

Thanks. The problem with working all alone is that it takes a long time to get updates written edited and that such. And now I have to start several days earlier.

As for expies and such the only exception to that is Richard Sharpe. Everyone else is either historical, an OC, or dead.

And I dont give a damn.

I will remember and try to do that.

Sharpe is the only one who may exist… and that's because Cromwells novels inspired this quest.

Oh well.

Hey at least now omake bonuses after the next update are going to be 20 per omake.

Cause you will need it.

Calling the vote at 6 pm pst.
