So the war is basically over...well except in Spain.
I mean it's Spain… in a civil war. History as we know it is dead and the dice have killed it.
I suggest we create a Republic of Catalonia from the occupied territory. Galicia can go to Portugal due to having some elements in common with them. The rest of Spain can fucking duke it out.
Then the British might get good shit and we can't allow that.

OK, my stance/advice on any peace deals we make:

Austria- Hammer these bastards like they're a 2 cent nail. They broke a treaty with us, raised an army, possible raised the Pope against us. They better pay.

Prussia- Slightly better then Austria, but not too much. We don't wanna deal with them in a few years time.

Britain- Ideally status quo pre ante, or at least relatively minor as all they've done is suck up French India and we beat up their pawns. Maybe something against them hiring out wars in Europe to other countries? Use the poor saps in Spain as leverage. That's a fairly big chunk of their army, which they kinda ne-

Come to think of it, we might have a rare opening. The Navy's been trimmed a fair bit and is otherwise running after the US/Spain, IE, Ireland's west coast/ Mid Atlantic. That could give us a chance to land some raiders in Albion and cause some havoc. Of course, this could heavily backfire and inspire them to really go to the knife, so......

That said, leverage the idiots in Spain for everything we get.

Russia- We cool? We cool.

They did nothing to us, so we got no issues with them. Maybe a nice gift as well.

The fact that Austria's Army has collapsed... again, should tell you everything about the national morale, and the situation they find themselves in in terms of millitary power. They have been there, and got their ass kicked.

Twice now.

And the burden of the states failures will fall upon the emperor... and his subjects.
Prussia- Slightly better then Austria, but not too much. We don't wanna deal with them in a few years time.
They are just... so fucked up.

They are indeed in need of that kick in the ass that Napoleon gave them, only now it's from Jourdan, Napoleon, and Lannes.

The three musketeers of slaughtering germans.

Therese might be in their as well, but she's... busy mothering the future of France.

If we can get Britian to accept peace... then we've won... in the short term.

Britain knows we're trying to industrialize and quickly. So we might be able to stop british goods from being... so expensive.

Not even we, with our bullshit, may touch British soil without some crazy shit going on in our favor.
Russia- We cool? We cool.
The Tsar is not cool. He is winter itself.

Nah. The winter isnt really as big an issue as people make it out to be. The real issue is Spring.

Because BTW, all that snow has to melt and go somewhere and that somewhere mainly into the ground.

You literally get stuck in the mud by Russian Spring. It is harder to push in Winter. It is almost physically impossible in Spring without asphalt roads.

and considering Russia's Shit infurstructure?

My god we will all die by the winter. :V

April 5th, 1796
You had felt the kicking of the children wake you up right before dawn. You sighed and rolled over onto your side for a minute, trying to fall back asleep.

It was… not to be, and you rolled out of bed and into the boots you kept by your bed and walked down the halls of the Tuileries.

It was long, sterile even in the fact that there was no one here in the early morning, save for the guards and the clerks that worked at night, to be relieved by the staff of the morning, and the ministers themselves.

You thought for a moment, to call the guard together for an inspection, to make them drill in the morning as you had done on the Rhine and in Tulon.

But your mind drifted again to the reports from the front.

There were thousands of casualties in the French Army. But the collapse of the Austrian Army in Italy, along with the Prussian Retreat back through Hanover to Prussia proper meant that the possibility of the War coming to an end, you could hope to see a world where your children could grow up in peace.

Hopefully in a world where a burden would not need to be held by them.

You took a deep breath and walked down the hall, as you found yourself facing Kellerman. The old General seemed ageless, even with the faint candlelight and the rising sun breaking the darkness of night.

"Can't sleep?" He asked as he walked beside you, offering an arm to help you walk.

"The little ones aren't making it any easier." You replied, taking it. "But I worry."

"About what?" You both began to walk as the old man asked.

"That I've lost my way. I have taken the easy road, and allowed my feelings to cloud my judgment." You replied You looked at the candle, burning away. "What if everything we have done only leads us back to where we began. An autocracy, a reactionary autocracy, where the Emperor only cares about his ambitions, his glory, more than that of the people? And I am enabling it by staying at his side."

Kellerman chewed on something, perhaps nothing, before he spoke again, and his arm seemed to slacken. "If you think such things, then you haven't. You still have an understanding of the world around you, about your own place in it. That you still hold that spark of hope in the Revolution that hasn't been tainted by thoughts of power over people."

The old man smiled at you. "You give this old man hope. And that is something even your brother could not do. As long as you never forget yourself, liberty will not die in France. That is my hope my dear."

You leaned in a little closer. "Thank you François."

"No my dear, thank you for listening to this old man." He said.

And while the grandfather figure in your life was a quiet, capable man in battle… he was also something better.

He was there for you.

And that was enough. It was nice to know you had an ally you could trust.

Same, though i would add Napy's family here, we need to meet new in-laws, both because it's nice thing to do and also because we want to avoid potential misunderstandings/anonymity.

Last thing we want is matriarch of the family feeling offended and Napoleons family is probably other faction with most influence over him beside us. So let's make it clear that we are all one big happy family 😊.

Really think we should do this this turn
