It Belongs to a Museum

Hm. As I recall, our location is itself of some historical significance:
This was where Luthor Harkon originally made landfall on the Vampire Coast, and though the castle appears modest from the outside, a network of chambers is carved into the dormant volcano that the castle is perched on the flank of. It's made of the same stone the volcano is formed out of, rough-textured and dark grey and somewhat less menacing than the pure black of his mainland castle, and takes the form of a rampart made of a ring of slanted stone pillars. This makes it look slightly more like the fortifications of your homeland rather than the northern style that Luthor aped for the other castle, but only just, and you gather it to be based on a design of a people from even further north, who supplied the original crew for his first ship. The harbour is extensive - the Luthor you spoke to said it's where his 'immediate predecessor' built up his fleet from the single ship he arrived in to an armada capable of conquering a Lizardman Temple-City - and you can see the possibility of having entire ships as exhibits on top of just using it for your visitors and underlings to come and go.
@Boney would it be possible to include some historical and/or architectural notes on the castle & harbor as part of an exhibit (possibly leveraging Fjolnir's expertise on both its past and its antecedents)? If so, are there any actions we'd have to take to set that up?

Hmm. Good point. I'd allow a '[ ] Acquire Relic (castle)' to turn the fortification itself into an exhibit by digging up the historical and architectural context.

"These are genuine handcrafted nehekaran death mask."
"They look new."
"Oh yes, the Liche Priest just finished on these ones."
"... i want my money back"
Hey now genuine handcrafted this masks are pretty interesting
Goals for the museum are currently:
1) Gain enough prestige to host a gala
2) Carve the volcano into a giant Luther Harkon death mask.
I can agree with 1
Not with 2
Like I don't mind building a center piece around him but like I said the museum isn't going to about him if I can help it

Like how the Smithsonian isn't about James Smithson

Ooh, that's a great option! The original castle used by Luthor Harkon, detailed and finished as an exhibit, housing his original ship? That's definitely a worthy side-piece for the future ship exhibit. I still think that we're more likely to be able to pull off a decent skeletons+ exhibit first, simply because of how many things would fit in as either Trophy, Lustria, or Lizardmen... but with the castle itself coming into play, the ship is sounding more promising. Which exhibits seem viable for next turn probably depends on our luck with the Relic pulls, since there's a vast difference in value and affinities between something like a set of blowguns used by Chameleon Skinks (which wouldn't amount to more than a minor side piece for a Lizardman-focused exhibit), and something like the golden Sacred Plaques from the innermost chamber of a fallen Temple-City (an amazing enough find to be worth devoting a whole wing of the museum to... in addition to being an item that'd trigger Altdorf's museum bonus).

Updated plan:

[ ] Plan Early Acquisitions v2
-[ ] Acquire Relics - via Princess Aelsabrim Fallenstar (x2)
--[ ] Beasts
--[ ] Relics
-[ ] Acquire Relic (Castle)

The new Investigate action looks interesting, I'm thinking we try to pick up some leads into the conquest of Huatl or the Undead Admiralty, hopefully tracking down some cool items to do with Vampires and stuff—or maybe we go further afield with it? Nehekara for some necromancy stuff, perhaps?

[ ] Plan: Castle Diorama Prep
-[ ] Relics
-[ ] Acquire Relic (Castle - Fire Serpent Island)
-[ ] Acquire Relic (Suitable Preserved Corpses + Clothing & Deathmasks to represent Harkoon and his initial crew - Awakening)

A variation of Diorama Prep. For while the lizardmen are neat (I do want them), the castle is I think more thematically coherent and more likely for Fjolnir to have knowledge of it.

I don't think we'll be in a position to do cross-oceanic Acquisitions until we've got a buddy with a ship. Anything to do with Nehekhara will have to wait until we've got the goodwill to bring on extra contacts.

Is it possible for Greedy Gorg to be "Canonized" (as Captain of one of "Pirate Crews" that Pahtsekhen can hire for one reason or another) if I write omake about him?

Eventually, maybe.
But mostly is Luthor Harkon bragging, not every random pirate crew.
Now, i am not opposed to the pirate code gathering.
But it feels more like a "we've got all the basic necessities done, what kind of niche exhibits can we get?" move to me.
Eventually a thing to do.
Might make it a thing to compete on where your code is displayed in relation to Harkons (assuming he has one).
Closer to the (pirate) king you sit, greater your honor (among thieves).
'Look at these cool people and what cool stuff they did. See them bowing to our authentic Death Masked Luther Harkon skeleton. See our exhibit of them *all* bowing to our authentic Death Masked Luther Harkon skeleton. See that you can not see the end of the room filled with bowing pirates. See the pardon our dust sign as we expand the chamber to keep it current and accurate.'

Okay! Think I'm in a better place to make comment now.

I'm definitely up for an exhibit as the centre of the museum covering the arrival of Luthor Harkon in Lustria and his wars with the Lizardmen... The question is how we immerse an audience in that story - tell it in such a way as they can viscerally appreciate the trials and triumphs that Luthor Harkon underwent to reach his current status (and maybe show off some powerful magics along the way).

As such, I present a concept of what such an exhibit might eventually end up as, with four sub-exhibits. Obviously we can't achieve all of this just yet, though there are clear paths available to most things.
  • The Voyage of the Niflhundr - detailing the ship that Luthor sailed on, its crew and the dangers it faced before it reached Lustria. The ship itself and Fjolnir's narrative expertise are a striking opening, particularly alongside a representation of Harkon's crew using Nehekharan techniques. Some skeletal sea beasts (to be animated) would form a nice complement.
  • Aground on Fire Serpent Isle - detailing the island that Luthor arrived at and built his base of power from. The fruits of researching the castle would be invaluable here; perhaps we could also go for a set of geological and fossil samples if that would be deemed prestigious enough, highlighting the island's volcanic and marine nature. Finally (and I would appreciate confirmation of this; the wiki is never to be entirely trusted), a way to showcase the Shyish and Dhar that the island is apparently steeped in would be useful not only to highlight the magical foundations of Harkon's power but also for Pahtsekhen's goals of spreading arcane knowledge. Maybe some insights into the creation of Harkonian zombies? (Recruiting Bracht when we have the chance would help with this.)
  • The Land of Lustria - detailing what Luthor and his nascent empire would have encountered as they began to explore the mysterious Lustrian mainland (particularly important to set the scene for the international visitors that we'll eventually want to attract). For this, we need flora and fauna - we have the fauna in skeletal form (which we can animate as a further showcase of powerful magics) and the flora is just a word and a boat trip away! Perhaps gems, too, if we want to highlight Lustria's riches?
  • The Conquest of Lustria - detailing Luthor's conflicts with the Lizardmen. We're of course going to need Lizardmen corpses and regular corpses for this - animated battle dioramas will be a suitably dramatic conclusion - while Lizardman and Vampirate weapons, plus Lizardman relics, will showcase the wealth and power of Luthor's new kingdom derived from these conquests.
That's the vision, then! In terms of how we get there, we could just try to get as much of this done as possible before we open, which would probably take two or three turns of setup and might irritate our new boss! Alternatively, we could try for a more condensed version of the whole exhibit, or indeed just one section, to get things started.
