It Belongs to a Museum

Intimidating, perhaps, but it would nonetheless be a conspicuous absence for a depiction of Lizardmen war beast riders in combat!

(Wonder what the technical term would be. Camelry is to camels, elephantry is to elephants... 'Bastilodonry'? 'Stegadonry'? 'Terradonry'? Schema doesn't work as well for Cold Ones, though.)
Considering that the Druchii are probably the more well-known Cold One Cavalry faction amongst civilised nations, we could go with the Druhir word for the beasts and call it 'Nauglironry'.

I think having Lizardmen skeletons would help in a sense of "this is the species that Luthor fought" sort of thing. Like remember that some documents in the old world portray a malnourished skink as a Saurus warrior. Not sure on the source of that though.
We do know that Paht himself currently divide Lizardmen into "big Lizardmen" and "smaller Lizardmen", meaning he very well might make that mistake himself.

That is what I am thinking, since I'd imagine that for most when they hear "Lizardman" they just think of a human with scales or something along those lines.

Not the roided up primal beasts that some of them are.

Certainly, that should be the end goal - we all want the animated battle dioramas eventually! As said, though, if we were to decide to set up an exhibit next turn along the lines of 'Luthor's conquest of Lustria' and needed to have everything ready to go, we'd want to highlight the martial challenge of Luthor's opponents, not their perception as anatomical curiosities. A golden sword-club as big as a man, studded with obsinite spikes, with a helpful plaque pointing out that the thing has a one-handed grip, should do that job nicely!

Another idea for NPC: "Slippery" Stefano (Tilean Pirate Captain that "can escape any jail in the Old World, in less than single night"... or at least he boasts so)

You know what would be the perfect accompaniment to the pirate ship? Pirate flags. Collect examples of the most famous/notorious/successful pirate crews and display them from Harkon's ship (with Harkon's flag on top, of course).

If we combine it with the fort, then we basically have an exhibit on the founding and legacy of the Undead Admiralty, which is more or less the government of the Vampire Coast. We'd basically be emphasizing the foundational myth of the nation, cementing it as an actual nation in the minds of the people.
This is an excellent point (and I've added your idea to my vote as an approval vote), but it also got me thinking about exactly what my problem was with the diorama prep ideas (beyond the action economy argument)... and then I remembered something and looked up the original Boney post.

Modern museums are focused a lot more on education, which is the service those replicas and reconstructions primarily serve. In this era the focus is a lot more about prestige, which means the value of getting the genuine article is a lot higher.
It seems like people are excited by suggestions that feed into the animated diorama idea, because that's the sort of thing that'd be really cool to see in a modern museum. Unfortunately, this isn't a modern museum, it's a feudal-era prestige piece, meant to show off the wealth and power of Luthor Harkon and the Undead Admiralty. In that vein, the sort of historically-accurate replica bodies and masks that you'd expect to see in a modern museum are low-status ideas to our prospective audiences. They aren't very interested in our artistic renditions of cool old things, they want to see the actual cool old things.

Things like "necromantically animated combatants who engage in mock combats for the entertainment of visitors" offer some degree of entertainment... but to a local audience, it's not any more impressive than if we were using paid actors, and to an overseas Elven or Arabyan audience, it's a more low-brow experience than they'd care to come all this way for.

[X] Plan: Diorama Prep
-[X] Relics
-[X] Acquire Relic: Lizardmen Bodies/Skeletons - Awakening
-[x] Acquire Relic (Suitable Preserved Corpses + Clothing & Deathmasks to represent Harkoon and his initial crew - Awakening)

Did Luthor even need to fight lizardmen to claim his first island?

Also I just like the idea of having the VC's first ship and first castle in the same exhibit, so I am pro-castle plans.

Tale of Captain "Greedy" Gorg, Chapter 1: The Beginning
Tale of Captain "Greedy" Gorg, Chapter 1: The Beginning

On one of many pirate ships that swim across the Great Ocean, Ogre Maneater called "Greedy" Gorg overlooked result of his coup against its previous Captain, with his trusty Blood Vulture perched on his shoulder.

"Burg, Grub, we will be eating plentiful today. Let's just 'be nice' about this and don't feast in front of crew. Morale is always shaky after change of leadership" Gorg told his twin sons, who killed and feasted alongside him through his whole career as Mercenary.

"What about Captain's room? Crew can't access it if you don't agree with it." Burg responded, before starting to lick blood from his Ironfist.

"Good idea, Burg. As reward, you will be able to pick best parts of meat, just after myself" Gorg complimented his son for cunning, while proudly smiling. Maybe Grub was better at smashing heads, but Burg was more cunning.

"Gulp! Move your lazy ass! I want all corpses in the Captain's Room by dusk!" Gorg shouted to his pet Gnoblar, which moment later caused whole group of them to 'move to work'.

Meanwhile, human crewmen on the ship could be divided into two groups: less wounded returned to their stations, while more severe wounded lined up for treatment by so-called Green Witch, who healed each one with her Life Magic.

For position of First Mate, newly-titled Pirate Captain picked most experienced amongst human pirates, who called himself "Slippery" Stefano for his talent at jail-escaping.

He told Grog about "Pirate Heaven" called The Awakening, so cunning Maneater tasked him with "making sure the ship will get there in one piece"

Hour later, when Gnoblars finished their work, Gorg gave Stefano direct order to "only interrupt in really important cases".

Moment later, after door of Captain's room was closed, trio of Maneaters (and Gorg's Blood Vulture) began their feast. Its 'centerpiece' was corpse of ship's previous Captain.

---++++-------------------

Crew of "Greedy Gorg":
- Pirate Captain "Greedy" Gorg (Maneater with brace of Ogre Pistols)
- Burg & Grub, Gorg's twin sons (Burg dual-wields Mace & Ironfist, while Grub dual-wields Mace & Scimitar)
- "Slippery" Stefano, First Mate
- small group of Gnoblars, lead by Gulp (Gorg's pet Gnoblar)
- much larger group of human pirates (wielding warious weaponry)
- "Greedy" Gorg's Blood Vulture

After "Greedy" Gorg's successful coup, he renamed his (Tilean-made) ship to "Sea Gorger"

[X] Plan: Castle Diorama Prep

We could probably get something more exciting than preserved corpses with an action but otherwise hits the beats I want.

@Boney Is there anyway that Paht could contact his beloved niece and maybe get her help to acquire things for the museum? A long distance contact? Or maybe she has some close by contacts that might be useful for us that we could use?

I will to be fair, even odds there's gonna be a spy of hers in awakening but also, there's also even odds that chance she might kill us

I'm sure Neferata knows what we are up to and is keeping tabs on us.

I like to think when we get more settled in she will stop by for a tour or blackmail us or kill us.

Maybe all 3 :V
