Into that Vast and Unrelenting Darkness (40K Xeno Civilization Quest)

Curse and Cursite weapons always proven to be very effective against overwhelming enemies so we sjould invest more on them.

And considering we have so many enemies we should take Winterspite Outpost Gaurd and up our reps with them to take this:

Winterspite Privateering: If the Kabal agreed to conduct themselves according to the Directorate rules of war, they would make valuable allies against both the Imperium and the Toothgrimm Kabal, though this would likely require the Directorate already have some diplomatic and strategic cache. 0/35, Winterspite begins conducting raids against Directorate enemies. Cost 1 Intel, requires 35 reputation.

Even the AutonVessel think Koptu is a scum and he is a shady character, we already gave him Gene Keys why he would want that? Besides knowing him he would use it to inflitrate AutoFacility and who they gonna blame for this? Us for giving Koptu the keys.

Well we need to do ZwergBot Disassembly Protocol so as to make our blokbots tanky'er, before/during the CPUMoon so that we do better.

alright, my two lobbying points are
1. Bioengine - the risk/reward is way in our favor. We know without doubt that there will be biolocks encountered during CPUMoon/New Dawn Extraction that it will help us bypass. Specifically the ultra-high security ones. It's a significant advantage to have one our side. The worries seem to be nebulous and minor. Koptu getting some additional political power (somehow?) through it is not a major concern and can be addressed by us if it does happen.
2. Sanctum Sanctorum - FTH hazard roll buff across the board, incredibly useful and will help with *at least* 1-2 rolls every turn. if you're unsure about it, just consider this: a 1 point increase reduces the chance of rolling a hazard by, on average, 5% in absolute terms and 10% in relative terms. That's huge and we need it now more than ever.

So here's a question what are the godly domains of the Omnissiah? Because currently the Directorate have multiple gods with their own roles so where does the Nova Mechanicum machine god fit.

Personally I think that the Omnissiah can be slotted in as a god of industry specifically heavy industry since we don't seem to have one of those already as far as I know. We have craftsmen gods certainly but none of them really fit with heavy industry and are more focused on artifice.

Plus the Mechanicum already has a history with Forge Temples and Manufactorums so they do have a jumping off point. Additionally we really do need the boost to our industry.

I just realized something… there are a lot of lifeforms starting to gain intelligence and forming religions… did we accidentally end up creating new civilizations or simply pushed them to evolve?

We definitely created the conditions in which they evolved. Which is a whole lot of complicated territory for our version of the prime directive, not helped by the fact that they're on the same planet as our main population.

I'm just also noting that our homeworld got invaded by a bunch of khornate daemons, but they then got eaten by the local insect life, reducing them to a footnote. Our ants know how to war better than them!

I want to point out that as a rule Ants are just kind of like that, and have been for ... Ever as far as anyone knows. Them being better at war than someone is not the surprise, it's having the base stats to apply that nature to a deamon fight.

I want to start trying to realize other gods… like //PATH or some other god?

I wonder… can worshipping a C'tan actually turn them like the others? We know they aren't actually 'gods', but can they turn into one?

I think the Huntsmaster is pretty close and his followers would come in handy in the coming military build-up. Besides that I do wanna focus on the Mechanicum since a lot of their projects also boost industry which we are lacking in.

As for the C'tan no idea.

That or something else… I'm just curious to see what would happen with that. We barely did any C'tan tasks… I kinda wanna see where that leads to.

My guess is that since the C'tan is anathema to anything warpy, a clone of them with the powers that their followers believe they have would manifest within the warp, but it would be able to draw on belief generated by actions of the C'tan in realspace.

The servants of Tzeench would also report a strange prank: it was the same as the automatic pie in a box such that hit Nurgle, but instead of promising delicious gifts the strange wind-up, bouncily musical chest instead promised to give the Architect of Fate all the knowledge he deserved, and instead of containing an automatic pie it instead contained an automatic fist, and instead of hitting him in the face with streuselberry it had hit the god in the face with semi-automatic knuckledusters. Ha!
Was it me or did Khorne not get a gift? I think He got a Gift; the Gift Khorne got was the knowledge that there is a magic that was Non-Cowardly and doesn't go against his Doctrines and that Tzeench is to Stupid to under stand

ToyMaker/St. Klauf: I Cast (Semi-Automatic Power) Fist
Khorne: . . . 👏👏👏

the protections of the shields kept the hull safer for longer, and when shields were breached, their shots would do less damage, turning less of the hull into spiders, who themselves were weaker, more sluggish under the fields effects, and in turn more vulnerable to the weapons of the Hunteks, the order newly equipped with a bevy of devastating god-forged field annihilator artefacts and blessed cursite weapon-spirits, discovering the Spiders primary weakness: their fields absorbed curses like sponges.

A weakness shared by their fleet, as scans would, over the course of the battle as more and more of the fleets mystics across all seven vessels cast the Curse of Darktide upon the enemy vessels, the water bursting apart sealed microservers, quantum microactuators being covered over by barnacles, and conjured fish oozing various organic chemicals inside the internals of the Krillships, their morphogenic technology unable to simply remove these irritants, forcing them to devote more and more of their field and overall structure to account for these problems even as the ships fields began to suffer a curse buildup.
I'd like to point out that this actually went pretty well all things considered. I don't trust our current measures to hold up to a preemptive assault but with the homefield advantage, our curses become much more potent. The Heart and Sea Vita could definitely pull a way bigger Curse of Darktide than the fleet, and we don't have any uninhabited planets in the home system to eat for easy resources. Even Trove has Tek-Pyramids we could use as surface to orbit curse cannons.

The Huntsong was a simple tune, meant to be whistled:
Wait can we actually get effects from whistling it?
On a broader note, to the Godsongs provide further boosts to that specific god's holy stuff, or did finishing it with Celestial Resonance just make CR better and ER more specialized?
Oh come on, godforging requires stretching the truth sometimes. Stop breaking our immersion.
Orks across the galaxy would find themselves gifted strange blokky gubbinz, no good for war, but they were fun to play with at least, while in the future many Necron tombs would awaken to find a bevy of tribute placed by unknown parties in the very heart of their tombs, their Crypteks at a loss to explain the strange items of unknown biometal powered what appeared to be a bastardized nuclear-necrodermis alloy. OH !@#$.
Not sure who's swearing here. History would imply the Old One.
Lesser Polar Towers of the Hermit: One tower had not been enough: what about more? Built individually, the towers would be customized for each world, acting as anchors for magic and helping to draw the hermit back by acting in tandem. 0/75, Select a planet. Gain Lesser Polar Towers, increasing FTH. Cost 1 Warp. Repeatable.
Ooof. Guess the clergy is less willing to subsidize after the first one?

Anyway, making some last minute adjustments to my plan but I'll post soon.

Well, that was a very nice update! The bits about the ShrineCity were appreciated, and I very much appreciated getting the Toy Maker realized. The Heart being able to speak was admittedly a surprise, as we hadn't see any indication of it being able to before now. I wonder if that's because we completed it, or if it was because we managed to complete a specific Avatar?

The Old One's comments were amusing, and I see that the mysterious blue text made another appearance. I wonder who it is?
