For those worried about the mutations, we have Loom Snarling Deception to hide them perfectly, more or less at will.
Going to Panacea is just going to highlight how unusual their origin is

[X] Past-curfew check-in
--You really should try to get ahold of a phone and call Dad. He's surely worried sick, since you didn't come home from school today.
-[x] Stunt: Taylor sighed. Explaining the situation to Glory Girl had gotten her rather enraged, and it had taken some fast talking to keep her from tracking down the Trio and tearing them apart. Now, time to face the music. Taylor picked up the hospital phone, and typed her home number. Her father answered after only a single ring. "Dad, I'm okay." she said as soon as she could get a word in edgewise. "I'm at the hospital. I'm... I'm not hurt. I ran into Glory Girl, and she said Panacea would check me to see if everything's okay." She winced at his reaction. "I said I wasn't hurt, but... something happened to me... "

Something I've learned from Alchemical Solutions, and other Exalted Quests, Stunt as much as you can, even if it seems just a formality, because that one or two dice can be the difference between life and dead.

So, @Thief of Words

Would it be accurate to say our current form looks like this, but without the spider legs and with more joints, eyes, and cloud hair?

Anyway,
[X] Time to face the music.
--Go over to where Brandish and Armsmaster are still caught up in discussion. You're not sure you're ready for the Wards, but...well, it wasn't exactly as though you had other options, either.

Our whole meet up with Glory Girl was under the impression we were a Case 53 and or had amnesia, immediately calling our dad would put that into suspicion.

Maybe have there be a bit during the next updated, before calling Danny, where Taylor explains what happened to Vicky. Triggers that come with mutations do happen, it's just very rare, and even rarer to that extreme.

As for the mutations, maybe ask Panacea if she could at least give Taylor back her hair? Considering it's one of her last ties to her dead mother, might work.

Yessssssssss Infernals. My favorite splat.

Votewise I'm leaning against Panacea for two reasons: (1) I want to preempt the possibility of buyer's remorse reversing the decision to have Taylor look a wee bit demonic and (2) the possibility of shenanigans with Panacea (and Taylor) learning a bit more about demon biology than we really need to learn at the moment.

So that leaves Facing the Music and ET Phone Home. Most Taylor quests that I've seen nowadays seem to gravitate towards the Protectorate/Wards. Calling Danny has more branches, with us later joining the Protectorate/Wards (in which case the option is just plain old player indecisiveness) or some variant of going solo and/or teaming up with New Wave/Undersiders. There's always the possibility of going the social Exalt route with Danny (which would be fucking fantastic because I don't think anyone's done that before) where we fulfill our Urge via Jobs Jobs Jobs and Infrastructure, really push the Dock Workers angle, but that's...probably not going to happen.

Using custom kimberry social charms to increase productivity and spread Love of the Sea among the docks and dock workers sounds like a fun thing to do.

I would have gone with the Slender Man but that doesn't seem like a bad analogy either.

That's actually not a bad image for it. Though admittedly the inspiration for the description was a mix of a few things. Slenderman was one of them (kind of pleased someone caught that before the first PHO Interlude spelled it out).

imagewise, this one actually cemented the cloud hair idea:

Another was this:

Plus this:

And the carapace colors were inspired by these:

After looking at all this I feel like we need to make something similar to the bnahabra X armor from monster hunter 3 ultimate as a cape costume.

[X] Talk to the...let's just call it "demon" in your head about whether or not it has any idea what your powers actually are
--Shape-shifting would really help with the whole being nine feet tall thing and you've always wanted to fly, but failing that you would at least like to know what you can do the next time you're in a fight
--After we have a better handle on our powers we can figure out whether we should join the Wards or possibly New Wave if it turns out we can't find a way to hide our identity or change back

And now, apropos of nothing, the QM will share music for various Yozi combinations, because she's bored!

Adorjan + Hegra:

Malfeas + Cecelyne:

The Ebon Dragon + Szoreny:

I was thinking along the lines of an All-Encompassing Mantle with intricate armor underneath it, play up the mysterious impossibly graceful giant aspects of our new appearance. Also I know we don't have the charms yet but I can't get the image of us moving around by sitting on a giant levitating crystal ball while we bat aside enemies with our mind punches. Anyone remember the name of the charm that lets us create and levitate Crystalline Structures.

If it isn't found here, then it's probably here.

Considers a New Wave Infernal. People are already going to connect her to the missing girl. Exalted+New Wave member ship hasn't been done before.

Infernal in the wards? Noooooo!:o

It does happen yeah, though usually as a required effect of the main power, or if it allows them to revert back.

Example cases(Cauldron or suspected Cauldron flagged as such):
-Chuckles(the killer clown) - Extended limbs, differential time flow between body parts. Suspected Cauldron, as it's a textbook misconfigured shard.
-Canary - Feathers. Confirmed Cauldron in WoG.
-Aegis - Healing factor and redundant biology leads to more swoleness than fits on normal teenage human frame. Confirmed natural.
-Browbeat - Self-biokinesis leads to more swoleness than fits on normal teenage human frame. Confirmed natural.
-Crawler - Healing factor induced mutation/adaptation. Confirmed natural.

So, not exactly unprecedented, if rare. If she demonstrates the ability to change back to normal human, it'd just be put down as Changer. Otherwise it's just a secondary effect of her healing factor by official records.

Most Taylor quests that I've seen nowadays seem to gravitate towards the Protectorate/Wards.
At present, live Ward quests would be:
-Alchemical Solutions.
-A Very Simple Change
-This quest

Non-Ward quests still have the overall majority, but many of them are inactive as of recent times. Not counting fics of course.
Current active(counting activity some time this month, not actually declared dead) ones:
-Magical Girl Escalation Taylor
-Grail-kun
-Every Day Anew
-Game On
-Headway/Nexus Quest
-She Who Ends, Destroyer of All
-Red Like Roses

So just as someone who's in all the quest, it's less slanted that way than you might think :p

Not that we NEED to join the Wards for what it's worth, but getting our status cleared up legally so we don't get the mistaken for villain sequence is fairly worthwhile.

Guys as far as Taylor knows her secret identity is shot (yes we have Loom Snarling Deception but Taylor doesn't know that) can the people voting to talk to Armsmaster and Brandish at least have us bring up joining New Wave seeing as the only other group with secret identity free Capes is Faultline's Crew and Taylor has expressed no interest in becoming a mercenary.

New Wave is not, and has not been recruiting for years, ever since the Brockton Bay Brigade broke..

Barring mental influence to the contrary or word of GM. I'm not sure why people keep trying really.

Kind of a side effect of having your only non-familial members either die or leave the group. Plus all the issues that come from having to cope with one of the major members being cripplingly depressed.

Funny that you should mention Faultline's Crew...I have an Interlude/Canon Omake planned that touches on them.
