@Thief of Words - so, question. Are players getting a mulligan on their favored Yozi?

Because if so I could wax eloquent on why Kimbery is the one true choice has a lot of fun and nifty tricks that would see a lot of use. And maybe also frame Intolerable Burning Truths in a more positive light, since people seem to be giving it a bad rap.

Intolerable Burning Truths has one of the potentially most altruistic effects in any Yozi charmset...so long as you never take the perma-hate portions.

You can be a Magical Girl that refuses to believe the awful things the villain says about your friend. Noooooooo! Fate-chan would never do that! This must be some kind of horrible misunderstanding!

Man I love the Kimbery charmset.

Stunt for Non-Panacea checkup options:

"You said the transformations weren't common?" You think at Joyous Uncertainty.

<"Yes. That does not mean you should be looking for the first Neomah equivalent you can find to get rid of them.">

"Why shouldn't I?"

<"Isn't it obvious? A Neomah's art requires work. Especially if you're pushing things by making yourself the canvas! This isn't just getting a stomach bottle bug to patch you up for some alcoholic beverages. As interesting as photographs are, they are not a suitable model for this kind of art. Unless I've misread you terribly, you want more than art.">

"I just... I don't want dad to see me like this."

"You okay Ma'am? Do you want me to get my sister?" Glory Girl interrupts your inner argument.

<"Why anybody would want joints with such limited range of motion I have no idea"> Joyous Uncertainty thinks on the edge of your thoughts.

Art. Imitation of reality. Copy of a copy. He may have a point. That doesn't mean you don't want to be completely unrecognizable. But... do you really need Panacea for that?

Glory Girl looks like she's about to ask you again but you manage to speak up first. It takes everything you are to say this.

"She probably has more important things to worry about."

You feel a surge of approval in your direction.

<"Well done. Glad to know you won't reduce yourself to that kind of faker.">

"I can't exactly hide my identity though. I don't know what I want to do now, but maybe we could talk again sometime?"

"You know. If you can get away from Armsmaster without him getting you into the Protectorate... why not? Wait a minute... why would you..."

Oh no. For a brief instant you have a fight or flight response that you presume was her aura flaring up. But it passes as quickly as it starts when Glory Girl signs an autograph and grabs a sheet from a Paramedic's notepad.

"Of course you're going to have to explain how a shocked case 53 seems to know so much about Earth Bet already." She says before leaving you with her number.

With the potentially horrifying side-effect of being at risk of becoming Bonesaw 2.0.

"Jack is my friend! He'd never do anything so horrible as that!"

Could we use Freedom Lets Go on a Kimbery reinforced intimacy to instantly forget it because that seems like a decent workaround. Also could we recruit Bonesaw or other villains by messing with their intimacies I remember there being a charm for reversing or moving intimacies either in the Ebon Dragon or Adorjan charm trees. either way Bonesaw is going to end up fascinated with us for our appearance and (potential) abilities.

Could? Probably. Want to? Probably not, until it becomes boring (aka you're on the run after killing some people).

People jumping enthusiastically into Simurgh-approved mindsets, the fate of all infernal quests.

I'd like to see a abyssal quest that isn't boring zombie army one of these days.

Of course that leads to the question of what in character rationale would make us want to do that? If we love them they would need hurt us for us to consider using FLG. We wouldn't want to use FLG if we took the non-forgiveness one of the Intolerable Burning truths.

Now that I think about it, as long as we don't take that one, that may actually work to a degree.

It does. It was a regular mainstay of a Devil-Tiger character I came up with a while back.
...you might even get to meet her in the Quest. Uncertain. Hesitant about adding my own OCs to fanquest.

Hey @Thief of Words I know our Shard has been altered but is it stil alive or has it been subsumed into our Demon. If it is alive can it communicate with us because I'm imagining Head-Butler trying to help us while Shard-Sis is trying to Halp! us and I can't stop laughing.

Eh. Could work. You just have to keep in mind our vector for interacting with them is going to be Taylor. And Worm is already a little Character bloaty. Edit: Could be good to have someone who gets the Exaltation thing around... I hope they would be friendly anyway? /Edit

It got pulled of really well in a couple of quests that I'm aware of though. Maverick Hunter Quest on /tg/ primarily. The MC and the admitted OC character that the QM had made in his childhood even ended up complete bros in the quest, not that anyone knew about the characters origins until later on.

... Wait, most of the cast was OCs... never mind. I'm sleepy. Still feels pertinent though for some reason... meh.

Of course I'm sitting here typing this out while listening to this:
So take that as you will. *Shrug* Heh.

*Blink* Oh. ...Maybe we should call them agents. I was sitting here typing something silly out because I thought you were talking about the Exaltation Shard. Not the Parahuman Shard.

I hope this Taylor never learns solar sorcery demon summoning for obvious reasons.

One thing is a suicidal or arrogant Devil Tiger doing it in creation, the other is the same doing it on a stable alternate universe.

Maybe we should refer to them as Para and Demon seeing as Shard or Agent could apply to both powers so we may as well distinguish them by origin.

Head-Butler in no way is what became of the Queen. She's...around. Can't say more because spoilers.

Actually...it'd depend on how Adorjani we got. It's also feasible that Taylor could decide (within the framework of her new mindset) that the best way for them to learn or grow or whatnot is for her to no longer be a part of their lives and thus to use FLG for their own good.

... My train of thought went weird places.

Us: QA-tan! Come back and Halp!
*Activate Pantheon Charm*
QA: *Blinks and looks around* "... Yay! Now I Can Halp Even More!"
Us: "Yay!"

Kind of like a Parent/Older Sibling/etc.? I could see it, especially with how much she felt for her own mother and how she left them.

The really useful part of FLG is what it gates really.

Barring cosmic transcendence.

The Adorjan stuff allows for all sorts of fabulous shenanigans. Specifically, Tragic Love Amusement lets you immediately gain an intimacy of love towards another which opens up so many possibilities thanks to the Beloved/Reviled mechanic.

Let's say we need to hunt down Jack Slash. We use TLA to gain an Intimacy of love towards him, with the context of he's clearly in need of some mental help. Intolerable Burning Truths (Mother before Daughter) let us add [# of Beloved] successes to efforts to track him down so we can stop him before his horrible malady causes him to hurt anyone else. Once we find him we either proceed with the beatdown (because TLA actually gives you bonuses to hurting those with a TLA-derived intimacy), or we use Freedom Lets Go to break the intimacy and then load him up with Spiteful Sea Tincture. As a variant we could inject ourselves with the soul-twisting variant of Great Mother's Tears to sour our positive intimacy with him so that he's now Reviled, which opens up even more doors for laying the hurt on him.

Adorjan + Kimbery = Fun Times

A question for the thread, if we use Loom Snarling Deception to become Drunky McDrunklson who's backstory consists solely of the phrase "He's always drunk" how long would it take Precogs or other Thinkers to notice something was wrong. On a more practical note could we send coded messages to Precogs or other Thinkers using Loom Snarling Deception
