... Huh. Is "Colonist" a general term for "non-human", then? I kind of assumed it specifically referred to Agueda's spider-folk.
Yeah, it was originally meant for spiders only, then got expanded and expanded and now it's just the catch-all for the races which aren't as favored as humans or elves - even if literally no one in the team save Agudea is from a Colony.

[] [Diplomacy] The City Watch
You want to figure out what the deal with the city watch is out here. Perhaps you can talk with them a little bit. Preferably with gifts. DC: 20. Cost: 2 Budget.
[] [Intrigue] Investigating the Guard
Maybe you can look into the City Guard a bit, and look around their internal documentation. DC: 24. Cost: 0 Budget.
What's the difference between the city watch and the city guard?

Investigate the Guard rather than diplomance them in order to gain potential leverage over them. Hmm, may as well put a Major Boon on it to guarantee it passing.

I just want to know why you consider investigating the city guard to be such a big deal.
Because I want to take a look into their internal documentation, which is likely to contain some Fun Stuff(tm) and the Diplo option won't do that since it's just bribing a few of them to talk a little. And I don't feel like risking a 30% chance of failure after last turn....

I'm for the soften option.

Something to consider is that this port town is likely of significant strategic importance in any conflict with the other nations. Stabilizing it so that it stays loyal to Oskaria should probably be a secondary goal.

Might be worth going loud right as we finish up here and then move elsewhere (where we can again go quite).

At least if we can be slightly deceptive about what we are being so loud about. Spirit of Oskaria upset about his people being starved to death perhaps?

I'm sorry if this comes out of nowhere but is the MC make or female? I can't tell from the fantasy name and frankly it's bugging me enough to skip around instead of reading the quest properly, not that their gender matters it's just that I can't really visualize them in my head.

Male, but we got an image of our team here:

Yeah, so a while ago I decide to draw them. It's, uh, not great, and in particular Kerrie's face and Tekla's feet have been a giant pain in the ass, but it's done now.

The PC is the giant spider.

Depends. Cormag's definitely male, the MCs of the interlude segments vary, Agueda is basically male.
