The Diplomacy action is currently listed as being done by Cormag, despite Ageuda's diplomacy being higher. I bring this up for two reasons:

1) I want to check if that's a typo or if it's intentional, like with Tekla having higher diplomacy but social penalities from being viewed as a heretic
2) We need Ageuda's higher diplomacy if we want any chance of that roll succeeding. DC of 30 - Cormag's 17 Diplomacy = We need a natural 100 to pass this roll, and that's if we boost Cormag's action with our free action.

You're going to get a firm hand-waggle on that. Cormag is better if you're looking towards Uprooting Society I because he's still a humanoid-type citizen, but Agueda is better if you're looking to persuade the Countess. The statlines will be swapped as is more advantageous.

Pretty much writing off Diplomacy as a lost cause. Here's what we're up against:
Let them have Grain (DC 30 vs. Ageuda's Diplomacy 20): 1% chance
Let them have Grain (DC 30 vs. Ageuda's Diplomacy 20+3): 30% chance
Uprooting Society (DC 24 vs. Cormag's Diplomacy 17): 30% chance
Uprooting Society with Free Action (DC 24 vs. Cormag's Diplomacy 17+3): 60% chance

Only one of those has a decent chance of winning, and that one costs a good bit of budget at a time when we're trying to do this cheap and our one Free Action.

changing my vote an intrigue failure against the count is as positive as a success.

Countess Natalia took over control on request of her late spouse
The next day someone from the Countess' side tries to threaten you, their head maid or something believing that you could be intimidated into silence.
By and large, the Wahner faction's money is propping up low level agents, while the Countess' network is using their superior abilities in a more targeted fashion to make sure that key cornerstones of their support stay loyal and that the cornerstones of the Wahner family's support don't.

I think that we have been had.

'It would be awfully convenient for us to be murdered after taking my sides,
Surely, no one would remember that we threatened him if there are no witnesses'

And getting into more speculative territory
'That woman is horrible with keeping records. Surely, wouldn't be able to prove it if I send a fake letter granting the territory to me?'

I don't get what you are talking about here since you haven't actually stated what you think happened. Is this pro-Countess or pro-Wahner or anti-both?
