[X] Drag the traitors to the Capital, we're having the trial there and then heading to another region.

... none of these options seem to fit what I want to do.

Interrogate the prisoners, wrap up the situation in Merridge, and then move on.

I guess this is the closest we got:

[X] No need to head to the Capital. The judges here will understand the need for a swift, decisive trial.

with fairly wide discretion - so long as it does not end up in court before we try the traitors, of course. Do you understand me?" Vivien haughtily asks.
Aren't we not supposed to be bringing anyone to trial before they can get their hands on the other traitors? So as not to warn them?

I mean ultimately we've only arrested the lowest ranking traitors, not proved the links to any of the power players passing through White Hills.

I'm pretty sure that we refers to us being given a freehand to do what we want and break the law so long as we don't get dragged to court as defendants for whatever we did before catching the traitors.

Bit lost with that interlude.

I'm pretty sure it is Calamity Frame related.

[X] Continue investigating unresolved questions in Merridge, and put together an ironclad case.

Well it looks like the blizzard has ended, the boy channeling it has died. It seems that all the issues he was delaying are going to start up again though.

Keep in mind we only got the traitor guards here, and no real clues here yet.....
We have yet to check the local nobles and church, which likely has at least some people in on it, considering the sheer amount of compromised guards.....

Alright, work with me here a bit. You want to "wrap up the situation in Merridge". What form does that take, when you've arrested them for treason?

Well...trying them for treason, no?

(We'll leave aside summarily extrajudicially dumping their bodies into the river, mostly because of the five characters you in the full team only maybe two of them if you squint would be cool with that.)

I mostly assumed that your team would be reasonable about witness investigations - this is the point of having such a broad vote.

Yeah, the intent of that was basically Vivien saying "you have carte blanche, so long as you don't embarrass the Crown too badly". It's not about warning but rather about not getting sued for lots of damages.

Because more pertinently, if you wanted to avoid being noticed you failed that the moment you decided to go loud with Ophelia-Oskaria in a major port city.

Could we split the party? I want to have a bog show-trial in the capitol, but also search through the guards' history and try to catch any rats fleeing-the-sinking-ship/kicking-up-dust-as-they-burrow-to-hide.

I'll allow that write-in. Choose who you want to split, choose quickly, and choose persuasively - I might decide to extend voting for a few extra hours to see if it's got momentum, but otherwise we're just going to take the highest result.

I would consider that a bad idea. The team's capabilities are diminished enough as they are without splitting them up.

[X] Cormag and Ophelia drag the traitors back to the capital for a trial
-[X] Tekla and Kerrie remain behind to wrap up things in Merridge (mainly identify any additional suspicious peoples, and to sell the tonic recipe to make sure that the city remains recovered)

Basically keep the Intrigue and Martial specialist in Merridge to wrap things up. Tekla stays behind as well because he won't be much use in the capital (due to being Heterodox), and he can be the diplomacy specialist to help Kerrie. Cormag and Ophelia are the key members to make the trial stick - and encourage patriotism and devoutness among the populace witnessing the trails. Plus they are definitely the ones we want as the public face of things. (Keeping Tekla out of the capital might actually help).
