We have no clue for any of them except the last. The first jump, usually made in haste in response to something life-threatening, like Jade tried when she Ignited, is always to somewhere 'safe' in all shown examples.
No it's not. The Gruul walker walked to Naya, into a stampeding herd of animals. And even if the first walk is safe, there's no guarantee for the second, or the third.

Domri was safe until he started yelling about how cool Naya was and making a lot of noise.

But yeah we know very little about the 'average' planeswalker because there's no such thing.
So he was safe for all of five seconds. Not really any different than landing on Zendikar and falling of a floating island, or getting eaten by the wildlife, or getting killed by the Roil, or the Eldrazi, or whatever.

Ok, whoops?
We fucked up. On the other hand, it was, IC, a perfectly logical action to take.
We also now know IC to kill Kyuubey, so at least it had some positive consequences.

OOC we are now on a timer, and will have to make sure to get each and every single one Kyuubey.
This will be "fun"... in its finest Dwarf Fortress definition.

There's a witch planeswalker. Otherwise known as The Final Boss

Reinforces my point.
So, let's never go back to PMMM-Verse and write it off. At least until we can wipe out universes with our ability to spam supernovas.

WAIT A MINUTE. I SEE THAT HIDDEN TEXT.
There's a witch planeswalker. Otherwise known as The Final Boss (Disc 1)

We're gonna need a spiky haired friend with a comically oversized sword to help us fight the one winged QB in Disc 2 huh? Just ULTIMA won't work! We'll need the power of friendshi...

Nah more dakka will solve it. Everything burns eventually~

no where was it said that the Witch is a planeswalker, only that she's got access to Black mana
It also didn't say the Witch wasn't a planeswalker. Let's hope that's the case.

TBH, the planeswalpurgisnacht is probably more like the Disc 2 final boss. Disc 2 begins with us returning to the PMMM-verse, having developed our powers enough to deal with the threats we remember leaving there.

Unless it is a planes walker and is going to find us.

It kinda is and it kinda isn't. I've already given some big hints.

Hmm her father was an entertainer and was killed in 'accident' that was wish related. So im guessing the wish was related to fame or career success and he just happened to get fucked over by her taking his place indirectly.

Well, I won't yet confirm which one it is, if any, but I will say that they can be saved. Not in a "mercy kill" kind of way, either. A proper rescue.

Well thats good atleast. The two of them need to be rescued eventually. They certain deserve some happiness. Im sure Jade would agree to that point. Though first we need out own private loyal army before we think of going to the hell hole that is Kyubeys Experiment Ground.

Witch planeswalker isn't that scary. Either the people on the plane can't see it and it kills a ton of people, getting treated like a curse or natural disaster, or they can, and can avoid it or fight it. It'll walk to a plane that can kill it sooner or later.

Either way, Jade will never learn or care about it.

I just noticed something else!

Also of interest: "Earth-103".

The incubators have access to either other planes or some lesser form of other dimension which each has its own version of Earth. Occam's razor suggests the former.

Fuck.

Hmm actually wouldn't it be best for us to eventually go get a PA Commander or a Supreme Commander ACU to build us that loyal army?

I mean wow, why hasn't a Planeswalker Quest ever involved said PW getting an ACU? Mind blown.

Imagine everyone in ACU's, and instead of exploding when defeated they pop out to unload physics defying attacks?

Fuck.

I guess they have similar access like some people in Wormverse or DC or Marvel - bunch of parallel planes close together

Well now im imagining Planewalpy constantly following her and destroying each world she has visited after she leaves.

no Occam's razor does not.
the nature of PMMM's time travel, and the fact that we know from WoG that the incubators can't planeswalk.

Ordinarily wouldn't say this, but since it's just cancelling out the effects of meta-knowledge anyway:

QB / the incubators / everyone else will not be able to replicate your planeswalker spark or otherwise artificially make a way to travel to other planes. EDIT: Nor will they be able to remove it from you.

You'd have to intentionally help them travel to other planes for that to happen.

Nah. Those are dimensions. Planes hold entire multiverses.

Definitions.
But this was exactly what I meant - Kyuubey's have access to parallel earths, but all in one plane/multiverse, while we are completely hopping around different planes entirely.
So Kyuubeys can get to earth #xxx, but not, say, to Phyrexia or any of Marvelverse Earths.

Non-Canon Omake: Yer a Wizard, Nanoha
So since @Alivaril is having issues with Nanoha's reaction, although he might have solved that by now, I figured I'd whip up an omake about that in hopes of sparking some inspiration.

Omake: Yer a Mage Nanoha

Purpose.

It's a concept you've struggled with for most your life. It started when your father almost died in a bombing back when you were a little girl. Your family had already invested all their money into Midori-ya so the massive medical bills and loss of Midori-ya's two staff members almost drove your family into bankruptcy. Your mother and older brother spent all day working desperately to try and keep Midori-ya afloat and cover the bills while your older sister stayed with your father as much as possible.

But that left little you all alone. Too young to help but too old not to understand what was going on.

It was then that you realized something was wrong, even though it would take years to understand what it was.

Purpose.

Your parents and siblings all seemed to just know what to do. They were like a well oiled machine, never out of step with each other. They all had a driving purpose; your father's desire to leave his life as a professional bodyguard behind and enjoy the simple life with your mother, your mother's desire to see Midori-ya flourish, your brother's desire to marry Shinobu and teach the Fuwa-ryū sword style to the next generation, and your sister's desire to write a best selling novel. Even your best friends Arisa and Suzuka had a driving goal, taking over her family business and becoming an engineer respectively.

You however don't.

You've tried certainly. Learning Fuwa-ryū from your brother failed because your terrible at kinesthetic learning. Writing like your sister failed because of your poor Japanese. You were actually better then Suzuka at engineering when you gave it a try but it just didn't feel right. The same happened with economics when Arisa pushed you into trying. You even tried the more direct applications, physics and math, but they too felt hollow.

No matter how hard you tried or how long you searched nothing you tried felt right.

And so you find yourself slowly falling into taking over Midori-ya, even if that also feels lacking, for no other reason then not wanting to disappoint your parents.

You were draw out of your musings on life when a cute looking girl with her black hair up in a long ponytail stopped in front of you.

"Nanoha Takamachi, my name is Jade Agni" What? How does she know your name? Before you can ask your questions aloud the girl bursts into a bright red light. As the light clears you see the girl is gone. In her place stands a red head with a weird hat and a cape of all thing. "and I am a magical space princess."

"What!?" S-she's joking right? She must have just switched places with someone while that flash-bomb went off. That makes sen... where did that swordstaff come from?

Before you could even try and explain away how a 3 meter staff just appeared from nowhere it's blade caught on fire. While you are still stunned by that, you can feel the heat coming off it, Jade responds to your earlier question.

"As I said previously I am Princess Jade Agni, rightful heir to the once great Agni Empire. I have come before you to offer a once in a lifetime deal. You are one of only two humans on this world with the potential to become a mage worthy of standing beside me. As such I am offering you the chance to learn the glorious art of magic in exchange for fulfilling my request. What say you?"

You. You have no idea what to say! In the space of thirty seconds all you preconceptions of the world have been over turned. Magic is real. Aliens are real. Alien Magic Princesses are real. What's more is the a real Alien Magic Princess thinks that you are special. She thinks that you can lean magic!

The strangest thing though is that deep down this feels right. Even not knowing anything about this princess or magic or anything what she is saying feels right. Every bone in your body is screaming for you to accept; that this is your one and only chance to find your purpose.

"Yes! I accept!"

You barely notice it through the whirlwind of emotions you're feeling but Jade's eyes seem to double in size as you answer her. D-did you say something wrong?

"Aren't you going to ask what my request is?" Her face is hard to read, your sure it's from her years of royal training as a princess, but you get the feeling she's confused over you acceptance.

So you answer her simply and straightforwardly. "Nope. I can tell from your eyes it's not anything too bad." For when you look into her eyes you can't help but see the nothing bad sorrow and loneliness in those brown eyes of hers. There is no way someone with eyes like that would want to hurt innocent people.

That seems to be the right response for a small smile seems to grow on her face as she dismisses her swordstaff and holds out her now free right hand. "Nanoha Takamachi. My request is as follows: Will you be my friend?"

"Yes!"

Yeah... so that didn't quite turn out how I was planning. Still I like it enough to post. For any OOC behavior I blame:
1) Nanoha having 5 extra years of wallowing in depression.
2) That whole "burn your fears and such" away sub-vote which is probably going to have consequences*.
3) Agneyastra advising Jade and Jade going along with it.

For the terrible spelling and grammar and any incoherent rambling.... well that's all on me.

*I suspect it will be something like:
Overchanneling, Red [Rank 4]: You can ignore little things like "safety" in a glorious surge of Red mana. Your ability to control what you generate vastly drops in exchange for massive amounts of power. Of course, you can sometimes imitate control by simply forcing things into shape with the previously mentioned raw power.

Your fears are temporarily burned away while this is in effect. Unfortunately, this seems to include some of your fears of negative consequences.
