I've got 99 quests, I've finished one
What about Exalted? (I just really, really want it, okay?)I'm only somewhat familiar with Devil Survivor, and even then, my knowledge is not nearly enough to write in that setting. Sorry.

(We had a lot of fun. I need to go back and play it more later.)
I can help him with that. At least for the gen 3 ones. I had a huge MH obsession for a while (then my Wii U broke), so I'm decently familiar with them and their habits.Yes, and I mean admittedly it's not like you missed a ton of story details (I think every game's arc is pretty much village is in danger, fight off monsters and then really big monster, except for 4 which has you defend more than one village ). But you'd need to be pretty up on the actual mons to run it, so it's understandable.
Oh, no, not Exalted, please. Too much bullshit.
Valdemar sounds really... intricate. Can't think of a lot of series that make it to 30 books.
Quick wiki check says it has divine magic which... could be interesting?
Oh gosh it has firecats I don't know what that is but we should hang out with one immediately, they seem like angels but of a fire god and much better than angels maybe?
Edit: "They have the ability to appear as a common cat, become invisible and to transport themselves long distances by teleportation."
So like a reverse Kyubey, but much awesomer. If we find a cool one and then find a way to take them with us, we should totally rub it in his smug bunnycat face.
I'd say that they wouldn't be a setting breaker, for one of a few reasons. Option 1 is that the Exaltation cannot be copied, at all. They were the result of the greatest of the gods pouring all of their power into the greatest work ever created by the primordial of artifice. Option 2 is that they would have an absolutely prohibitive cost. As it, not just 20+ mana, but also 10+ life, a permanent reduction to your life, and a permanent reduction to your other abilities. Option 3 is that you can only summon pale imitations of an Exalt.I'm familiar with it, but quite frankly, it's a setting-breaker. That can be really fun in some quests, but for this one, GLORIOUS SOLAR BULLSHIT or any other conceptual ability from there would overshadow everything else. Summoned Solars would be game-breakers. There'd be no point in grabbing summons or abilities from other settings because it's just that overpowered.
The thing about Exalted is... I don't find it fun. We're not playing as an Exalt, thus, we should have nothing to do with Exalted, as far as I'm concerned.I'd say that they wouldn't be a setting breaker, for one of a few reasons. The Terrestrial Exalted would likely be exempt from this interpretation, but they're weak enough that they don't break anything.
It's worse. SM at least runs on some kind of physics. Creation (Exalted's setting) explicitly doesn't. It has magic instead.Going to Exalted sounds just as bad as going to Sailor Moon would be, especially at our current level of power. We might be able to beat Rei and Ami but the rest of the Senshi would stomp us hard, same with the villains. Anyone more powerful than Beryl would kick our arse.
I doubt it. A standard red mage would be about mid-tier, at the same level as Dragonblooded, Second Circle demons, and mid-rank gods/elementals. And everyone more powerful than that is rare as all hell, to the point that there are less than 1000 in the entire setting.Going to Exalted sounds just as bad as going to Sailor Moon would be, especially at our current level of power. But the magic runs on stable lines, meaning that it's just the same as physics. I'm not sure why that would be a problem, since we don't know whether or not normal MTG planes work on magic or earth-rules-with-some-magic-taped on.It's worse. So, yeah, @Alivaril I'm making this a formal offer, if you missed it.I can help him with that. At least for the gen 3 ones. I had a huge MH obsession for a while (then my Wii U broke), so I'm decently familiar with them and their habits.
You guys are seriously letting that pathetic excuse pass. Really. You seriously believe that leaving the defenseless and bewitched girl alone in the death dimension instead of getting her out of there was "what was best"?
Can we not include this? Including this implies that she'll ever stop owing us, or, by extrapolation, that we could forgive her. I'm out of the vindictive-vehemence stage, but that doesn't mean that I'd ever want us to like her.
I believe in forgiveness.I for one, don't think we should forgive her. I mean, that has got to be the most piss poor excuse I have ever heard.
It just shows how incompetent she is to actually bring an unarmed civilian in the middle of a Witch's barrier. At least we have some sort of excuse; we were researching about magical girls and were under the impression that we were being protected by a professional who wouldn't let harm come to us.
Her? She said that we got the Witch's Kiss the moment we stepped into the barrier, meaning that from the very beginning she fucked up. And instead of making sure we didn't get hurt, making sure that we were okay, or even checking to see how bad the damage was, she immediately left us. And we almost died.
Fuck her. Seriously, she can go straight to hell.
I figured that was implied by the first part of the vote being to mostly-forgive her on the grounds that the city's most prominent magical girl is a good contact to have and then mentioning getting in touch with a different MG, but sure, I can make it explicit. Line added directly after "the grief seed doesn't seem useful for you (etc.)":That works though @Czlyydwr Llrngwl could you add a bit where we see if she will take us to a healer since it is her fault we got hurt? That way we know of a healer to use and probably get the use of a healer without having to spend our seed till we need it. Barring that it would be useful to at least have her drop us off at a hospital as a victim of a Witch attack. That way we are somewhere "safe" and she doesn't know where we live.
...Except on SV. Had to make that joke, and I'm only kind of sorry.
So, yeah, @Alivaril I'm making this a formal offer, if you missed it.
Speaking of, what time period would we be in if we went for that world?
As I said, it does mean we cannot trust her....Except on SV. Had to make that joke, and I'm only kind of sorry.
The joke was memetic SVCompetence. Now I am sorry for not making it clearer.
That's a pretty big fucking mistake to forgive. Yes she gave us access to fire, but in the process she proved that she's an incompetent cunt who shouldn't be allowed to handle a goldfish let alone a living person.
[alert=Chillax mate]'Tis only a quest. Just remember to have fun, mm'kay?[/alert]
