Hope will never die : a Fire Emblem Awakening quest

Half an hour, forty minutes. Same, difference. :V

Edit: Redirect... I don't think I would have been happy with either, hopefully this doesn't blow up in our face with her (maybe) feeling like we're doing the same thing her mom just did.

To be fair, when all options are bad... :\

There's just no way to go through these without somebody feeling hurt. I'm sure that Severa would understand that being taught by somebody better at swordcraft than a childlike Lucina is in her interest, not that we're pushing her away because of wanting to not deal with her-- but because we are trying to give her the best she can get.

Not until she starts to introspect or has it pointed out to her in some way. With how prickly she is, Owain might be the only one to do so because he also Swords and she could also be flat out young enough right now that she never realizes the difference us vs. someone else teaching her really would make when she does grow old enough to start looking back and seeing her mistakes.

Its... up in the air for her I think. Almost definitely when she mellows out after Grima's killed, but until that point... And even then guilt for the (likely) cold-shouldering she'd be giving us in the mean time might make it hard for her to apologize, not to mention how far down the road that would be anyway.

I agreed with you in the end, because you were right, this is the best for her in the long run. But my points weren't wrong either, in the short and mid term... well, there goes that social link.

It really does hinge on how we say it and... well I don't think we even have that skill, but she is a kid... which might just make it worse, especially with what she just came out of.

It is true that the three standard options were all imperfect, each with pros and cons ; in those moments, it's not impossible for a write-in to actually get a more positive outcome. In fact, the one suggested was quite close from a good compromise.

Anyway, vote locked. Updating now.

Got a question, all of them get what very much seems like Superhuman at some point. I mean Chrom breaking walls pretty casually and such, how does that work with our stats?

I mean, I always attributed it to the Master Seals going "I am magic, you are now superhuman" with their Tier 1 caps being max human... well, with genetics and such enhancing and degrading certain areas. *Grumbles about it being easy to line them up with the Exalted dot system when it was 20s across the board*

Which also kind of fits with Weapon Skill as well since you can't hit S until your Tier 2. (In Exlated 5 general dots on a mortal in any one catagory is basically impossible unless they are an idiot savant or complete genius in that field.)

Chapter 1-3: Last days together (winter 2619)
[x] Direct her to someone else: EVERYBODY ELSE.
-[X] "Go around and watch all the other swordmasters, choose what you want to learn, and I'll introduce you to them. As the Crown Princess of Ylisse if it ends up needed. I can come with you to see them if you want me to?"

You hesitate a bit before answering.

"I don't think I'd be the right person for that. I am still learning myself, after all."

Severa's face grows grim. You can see her jaw clenching, and her eyes seem a little too bright.

"I'm sure we can find you someone who can teach you, though! Sir Frederick is very good, from what I've seen. Or maybe Sir Lon'qu? What about Sir Gregor or lady Sully? They're all extremely talented. All you have to do is pick one, I could introduce you..."

You're usually rather hesitant to take advantage of your title, but to help a friend, you're willing to make an exception. Severa, however, doesn't seem particularly happy.

"I already know them, thank you very much! Well, most of them, anyway."

She takes a deep breath, and you can't help but notice her shoulders are slightly shaking.

"... right. Would you want me to come with you, though?"
"What, so you can hold my hand? Thanks, but no thanks."

She begins to turn away, and you're honestly not sure what to do.

"Severa... I only want to do what's best for you."
"Yes, and like everyone else, you know what that is better than me. I..." She seems to bite back another angry retort, and you can literally see the fight leaving her. "Forget it, this was stupid. I got to go."

Before you can do anything to stop her, she is gone. You simply stand there, trying to reflect on what happened. You did the right thing. You know you did. So why do you feel so bad about yourself?

You don't see her for a whole week after that. You're beginning to fear that the bonds between you are definitely broken, when she shows up again in front of your door.

"Okay. If you want to introduce me, I'm okay with that, I guess."

Her voice is still flat. She can't seem to be able to look at you in the eyes. And you're pretty sure she's still angry (at you? Maybe). But you'll take what you can get.

still to be seen

[X] Seek out Cherche and Minerva

Another person you seek out before it is too late is the Rosanne knight, Cherche. Unsurprisingly, you manage to find her in the stables, where her mount was lodged. Minerva is... terrifying, but her mistress serves as a mediator between you two, instructing you on the best way to approach her without incurring her wrath. Trying to muster the courage befitting of a Hero King's descendant, you follow her instructions, and soon you can feel the warm scales of the wyvern under your palm.

Emboldened by the experience, you come back the following days, working as Cherche's unofficial squire as she teaches you how to take care of Minerva. It is hard work – you're becoming familiar with the concept these days – but learning about the pair is worth it, in your eyes. You're struck by how intelligent the wyvern actually is, though maybe you shouldn't be - after all, pegasi are the same. Still, when Cherche tells you she can actually speak to and understand directly Minerva, you have a hard time believing her. Until she demonstrates, leaving you kind of baffled.

(then the following day, you catch sir Vaike doing exactly the same. What the hells.)

As her return to Rosanne grow closer, Cherche claims she has a gift for you. You quickly find yourself in possession of a heavy leather tome, entitled Wyvere Physiologos, apparently compiling centuries of Valmese knowledge abut the beasts. If you want to keep learning about them, this should be invaluable, she claims. You thank her profusely for the gift, and wish her safe travels – while hoping you'll see her again sooner rather than later.

Skill : animal care – wyverns learned
Option unlocked : Study the Wyvere Physiologos

[X] Flying lessons with your mother

Those lessons with Cherche seem to have awaken a new want in you ; soon enough you hesitantly approach your mother to learn more about flying. She is, however, delighted, and almost drags you to the field as soon as you make your demand. Sometimes you forget how enthusiastic she can be about this. You're not surprised at all to see you're not your mother only prospective student. Near Titania, Sumia's famed pegasus, your sister is already waiting, and seems overjoyed to see you, cheerfully declaring that now, you can be a pega-pony-princess too. You're not sure how to feel about that, but you smile nonetheless.

Flying is truly an unique experience, and you have no trouble understanding why your mother and your sister enjoy it so much. You admit, however, that you're still a bit nervous when not having your two feet firmly anchored in the ground. Yet mother is quick to reassure you : whatever happens, Titania won't let you fall. In the coming days, you make notable progress, but you can't help but be rather impressed by your sister's ease in that domain ; she's truly a natural.

You three also spend some time taking care of the pegasi staying at Ylisstol palace, sometimes joined by Cordelia. In a lot of ways, it's like taking care of Minerva, only less scary. And you can see the bond linking the pegasus knights to their mounts is quite similar to the one Cherche has with her wyvern. It's... inspiring, really. You idly wonder if this is something you'll experience too, one day.

Skill : animal care – pegasi learned
Skill : riding (pegasi) increased to E+
Option unlocked : Spend time in the stables
Option unlocked : Continue your flying lessons

Special event : a gift from Virion

A few days before his departure, you receive a visit from Virion. Given that you haven't seen him since the celebration in the Shepherds honour, you find it pretty surprising. That feeling only grows stronger when he gives you a long wooden box – no, wait, is that a board?

"Well, princess, in light of my imminent return to Rosanne, I thought it wise to give you a little early birthday gift. Something to remember me by fondly, I should hope."

You quickly open it, and find three dozens of ivory-carved figurines neatly lined up, picturing soldiers and legendary creatures from worlds of myth. As you admire the craftsmanship involved, Virion speaks again.

"Beautiful, isn't it? Say what you want about Valmese, but at least they know their craft. This wargame proved to be a good distraction during those long days of campaigning. Most people wouldn't know, but war often involves waiting around a lot. Most people favours cards or die in those moments, but I always felt those to be a bit... simple. And truthfully, I dislike games based on luck."

You feel like protesting against his offer ; this is truly an unique piece, one who stayed with him for a long time, apparently. Is it really okay for you to have it? He apparently reads your hesitation and does his best to alleviate your concerns.

"Unfortunately, I don't think I'll have the opportunity to use it much more. I might as well pass it on to someone who will. And if you ever come and visit me in Rosanne, I would gladly observe your progress first hand."

You cannot thank him enough, despite his protests that it really was "a trifle". You don't know yet who you may find as a playing partner, but you are quite eager to try this game out.

Option unlocked : Find a board-game partner

[X] Spend time with the other children
-[X] As a group

As the autumn comes to an end, you become acutely aware that soon, you'll be split up from many of the friends you made in two years. Gerome and Inigo are leaving for Rosanne soon. Laurent will be travelling with his parents around the continent for a few months at least. And apparently, Nah and Morgan will relocate somewhere in Ylisse's countryside soon – you're not entirely sure why, since as far as you know, Robin is staying in Ylisstol, and Nah seems to share your confusion. And doesn't sound terribly happy about that.

In light of that, you decide to gather everyone for one last time together. You quickly run into several problems.

The first is finding what to do. You make the mistake of asking the others for advices, and are quickly flooded by suggestions in return. Owain insist for a dramatic play about the life of the Radiant Hero. Inigo would rather attend a dancing exhibition. Kjelle dismisses them both and claims the best choice would be a mountain trip in order to stay fit ("some could use the exercise", she declares, trying very hard to not look at anyone in particular. Most take offense anyway). Yarne meekly suggest a forest trek ; Noire immediately threatens that if he is making her sleeping in a bush, his immediate future may be in peril. Laurent believes the most productive use of their time would be a trip to the library, eliciting groans from the majority of the group. Nah kindly remind everyone that Morgan is still a bit small for strenuous activities ; Owain claims it could be hero training ; Nah retorts that being eaten by a dragon is also hero training. Kind of. Gerome doesn't say anything, but let out disapproving grunts at every suggestions. Severa declares they're all stupid.

At that point, you feel the need to put your foot down. A camping trip, right outside Ylisstol. You'll ask your father for chaperones, but they'll remain at a distance. Inigo, if you want to give us a demonstration, we will all be glad to watch. Maybe Brady can provide musical cover? Kjelle, this is supposed to be a time to relax. Laurent, you can bring a book, if you want. Noire... huh, you're already apologizing to Yarne, okay then. Nah, don't eat my cousin. Gerome, don't hesitate to share your thoughts. Severa, be nice.

Once this is taken care off, you go submit the idea to your parents. They readily agree, provided you're given an escort, which is something you've been expecting. Frederick and Stahl are tasked to ensure everyone's safety, which should be enough to prevent any unpleasant surprise. Once this is done, you begin to wonder at the gear needed for your future gathering, only to realize you don't have the slightest clue. Fortunately, Sir Frederick does, and provides an exhaustive list of what would be needed for this camping night to be a success.

The night finally come, and you find yourself watching the stary sky alongside your friends in a rare moment of quiet. Morgan is fast asleep, under the vigilant gaze of her sister, joined by Noire in her vigil. Brady is playing a soft melody on his violin, earning the rapt attention of your sister and Inigo. Gerome is quietly talking to Kjelle, apparently more at ease than how you usually see him. Severa, for once, seems pretty relaxed herself, listening to Laurent pointing and naming various constellations. Even Owain seems pretty subdued, quietly talking with Yarne about the future. In the distance, you can see the small fire where Frederick and Stahl are camping, giving you all space.

Who do you want to join? (pick 2)

[] Noire, Nah and the sleeping Morgan
[] Cynthia, Inigo and Brady
[] Gerome and Kjelle
[] Severa and Laurent
[] Owain and Yarne
[] Stahl and Frederick

The way I see it, I'd say Heroes units of Fire Emblem tend to be close of, let's say, Numenoreans from the Second Age, or the mortals living during the Age of Heroes in Type Moon-verse. Basically, yeah, what they can do can break the boundary of what a normal human should be able to accomplish, though it's not always immediately obvious.

As for at which point that begins to happen stat-wise... I'd say Rank A- and above is a pretty safe bet.

I don't really care either way on this one.

So... Chess with Robin? Chess isn't bad for introducing tactics, but the simplicity in it begins to show after a certain point.

Also... huh. Would suggesting a girl getting a crush on an older guy be against rule 6 now? I mean, its a crush, and that happens. And that's literally all that would happen until she was... what? 17 or 18?

Ah, that works as well.

Chapter 1-4: A night to remember (spring 2619)
Okay, so I reworked a bit how character relation work in this quest. Basically, you now a letter value, plus some qualifiers (for instance : Say'ri D (cool teacher). The letter basically indicates how often you are in this character thoughts, while the qualifiers are more indicative of how they think of you (meaning you can have a A with someone and absolutely terrible relations with that person.) It is quite easy to raise your relation to rank E or D, since those basically mean the concerned party remembers you exist. It should be harder to raise links above C and B, though that also depends on the person (easier to raise those parameters with a family member, for instance).

Anyway, I hope this is a bit clear, don't hesitate to ask questions or point out what you think won't work.

[X] Noire, Nah and the sleeping Morgan
[X] Cynthia, Inigo and Brady

[] Cynthia, Inigo and Brady

Deciding to enjoy Brady's music, you move over toward the small group, your sister scooting over to make you some space when she sees you approaching. You sit next to her, letting the violin sounds resonate. While you have heard that Lady Maribelle was growing desperate about the hope of correcting her son's speech (in that respect, he was Gregor's child through and through), clearly some of her lessons were sticking.

When he is finished, he is on the receiving end of three heartfelt clapping hands. You do not think yourself to be a musical expert, but you'd like to think you can recognize quality when you see it. And Inigo should definitely know about those things, and he seems as impressed as you and Cynthia. Your sister lets out a whistle.

"Wow, you've gotten really good!"

Brady simply shrugs off the compliment, though.

"Nah, just somethin' I do fer fun. And since Ma likes it, then why the hell not. Better than all that malarkey that they're trying to stuff me with, I say."

That you can sympathise with, to an extent. While you'd never dream of issuing the same complaints (and certainly not like that), the expectations placed over a scion of nobility could be... taxing. And you suspected you hadn't seen the worse of it yet. Still, you didn't like seeing your friend selling himself short like that.

"Whatever your reasons, you should be proud of your talents, I think."
"Hey, wasn't it dad who said that when..."

You try to shush your sister. So what if you were maybe parroting father? It was still good advice! Brady seems to take it in stride though, simply grunting uncommittedly.

"Why don't you try jawin' that to the guy over here? Heard he got really good at this dance stuff, still won't show me a thing."

Your gaze trails toward Inigo, who instantly blush while looking at the ground.

"Well, it's embarrassing."
"Aaaw, but I wanted to see! I mean, mom and dad aren't very good at this stuff."

You shudders at the memory your sister just awakened. You did recall seeing them on a dance floor once... The results weren't pretty. Shaking your head, you decide to focus on the matter at hand.

"Cynthia, if Inigo doesn't want to give us a demonstration, you shouldn't pressure him. Unless you'd like to sing us that pegasus limerick I heard you sing the other day?"

That gets you an horrified "Lucy!" from her, and a relieved smile from Inigo. He always had been pretty shy, as far as you remember. You can only hope him leaving for Rosanne won't be too hard on him. Now that you think of it, Brady had been the one to try to get him out of his shell the most, and standing by him when the other's teasing went a bit too far. He's probably worried about his friend too.

"Ah, well. Figured that was worth a try. Haven't gave up on you and me doing somethin' together, you hear? You better remember that next time we meet, all right?"

Inigo smiles and give a small nod.

"Yeah. I'll make sure to be ready next time, then."
"That's the spirit! And Lucy and I will be there to cheer you guys up!"

You smile at your sister's enthusiasm. That would indeed be a sight you wouldn't miss for anything in the world.

[X] Noire, Nah and the sleeping Morgan

You then decide to check upon the duo of manakete and Noire. The later seems busy cooing over Morgan, under the tolerant gaze of her elder sister.

"... I'm just saying, she seems nice now, but she's a nightmare when awake."
"O-oh. I'm sure it can't be that bad?"

As you sit down next to them, the two girls turn to you, and Nah immediately decides to take you as her witness.

"Back me up here, Lucina! With Cynthia around, you should know how this is, right?"
"I don't know what to say to you. I have no complaint about my sister whatsoever."
"Bah, you're no fun."

Well, maybe you do have a few things to say. But it wouldn't do for an older sister to disparage her own family in public – and mother doesn't like it much when you two are complaining about each other, not that it happens too often. Next to you, Noire sighs happily.

"Ah, I wish I had a little sister..."

Your answer "It is pretty great" comes mixed with Nah's "it's overrated." You three exchange a glance, before all being caught by a fit of giggles. Next to you, Morgan makes a bubbling noise that you choose to take as an approval. That light-hearted moment comes to an end when Nah's smile begins to fade.

"I wish... I wish I didn't have to leave."

You and Noire exchange a glance, not quite sure what to say. Truthfully, the news had taken everyone by surprise. With Robin being one of father's closest advisors, that his family would remain in Ylisstol never had been in doubt. And yet..

"You really don't know why you're leaving?"

Nah only shakes her head.

"I don't think even mom knows. Father pretty much did everything. I wonder if that has something to do with the nightmares..."
"Nightmares?"
"I don't know, I had some pretty bad dreams these last weeks. Which is strange, because I thought, now that mother and father are here, everything would be okay, right? But I saw that... big, black dragon, and... I think Morgan makes those dreams too, at least he's waking up more at night. But I talked about the dreams to Father, and he seemed to grow worried. Acouple of days later, he tells us we two will leave soon with mother, muttering something about 'plegians spies'. I don't know. I don't understand any of it, and he won't tell me anything, and I'm leaving you all...!"

Noire puts an hand on the young manakete's shoulder, trying to comfort her, while you scramble for words that might help.

"It... it is not the end, though."

The other two girls look at you, and you try to put on a brave face, gazing into the starry night.

"We'll meet again like this, I'm sure of it. We'll look at the stars together, like tonight. So... it is not the end."

Nah's smile gradually come back, a mixture of sadness and hopefulness.

"Ah... I'll hold you to it, then."

The three of you fall in a comfortable silence, content in simply looking at the sky. You don't know what tomorrow will look like, but for now... this is sufficient.

Characteristic : charisma increased to D-
Skill : authority learned

***

As expected, your group of friends is split up in the coming weeks. Still, you don't have much time to miss them, given your busy schedule. As the first days of spring come, you begin to wonder of the things you want to do in the coming months...

[X] Sword training (ylissean royal style) (LOCKED)
[X] History and customs of Ylisse (LOCKED)
[X] Etiquette lessons (LOCKED)

Your lessons continue. While you can now honestly say your sword training is everything you had hoped it'd be, the rest is still pretty fastidious. Still, this is expected of you, and you hate to disappoint. (choose 6 actions)

[] Ask for new teachers
: you don't have anything against lady Armelle and sir Ogham, really, you don't. But those tutors, appointed in your parents absence, have trouble keeping your attention. Maybe you could ask if someone else would be available to teach you?

[] Ask Lon'qu for Chon'sin style lessons : without Say'ri around, the Feroxi champion is the only one you can turn to who's around on a semi-regular basis. Only problem is, you don't think he likes you all that much...

[] Help Libra at Naga's shrine : you saw how much work healing those in need could be for Libra ; and you wonder if maybe you could be of use. An Exalt's duty is to its people, and what better way to help them? You lack experience in that domain, true, but you refuse to make it an excuse to do nothing.

[] Spend time in the library : while books never quite held the same appeal as swords to you, you also know that knowledge is a necessary tool for any ruler deserving of the name. And at the very least, you are decided not to be a disappointment on that front
  • [] Any specific topic in mind? (no extra action)

[] Spend time in the stables : between your mother and Cherche's lessons, you have become more eager to learn about the best ways to care about animals these last weeks. And what better way to learn than to spend time with them? Well, it would be pretty strenuous, probably.

[] Continue your flying lessons : this first taste of the sky makes you want to do more. Mother already proposed you and Cynthia to join her and Cordelia for some aerial exercises. You already know what your sister will answer, and you admit the prospect of learning more is tempting.

[] Studying Wyvere Physiologos : the book Cherche gave you contains a lot of informations, too much to be assimilated all at once. Still, if you want to be serious about this wyvern matter, you'll need to put some effort in. Maybe studying the theory will prove useful someday...

[] Frederick's Fitness Day : one frustrating thing about being seven : being so small. Yet, in your eyes, that's no reason to slack off. It is only natural, then, to seek the stern guardian of the Shepherds for some early training. Still, you wonder why everyone seems terrified when you tell them about your plan...

[] Double down on your lessons : studying is one thing, but things worth doing are worth doing well.
  • [] Sword training (Ylissean royal style)
  • [] History and customs of Ylisse
  • [] Etiquette lessons

[] Quality time with your sister : Cynthia idolizes you, and you couldn't ask for a better sibling yourself. Yet, you feel like you spent the last months trying to be her mother during your parent's absence. Now that they're back, perhaps it is time to relearn being her sister as well.

[] Find a board-game partner : Virion's gift is magnificent, but of limited utility without someone to play with (though you admit simply lining up the figurines for imaginary battles was quite enjoyable in its own right). Surely someone in the palace would be willing to try?

[] Spend time with the other children : with the world at peace, several of your friends left with their families for faraway lands. Even among those who did not leave Ylisse, some are now in the countryside, which to you could as well be the end of the world. Yet several of your friends are still in Ylisstol, should you seek them out.
  • [] Owain
  • [] Severa
  • [] Kjelle
  • [] Brady
  • [] Yarne
  • [] Noire

[] Write-in : thinking hard about it, maybe there's something else you could do?

[] Special - slack off : some of these lessons are... hard to bear. Surely no-one would mind if you were to take it easy on some of them? Or even miss them? (doesn't take a chice, but instead gives one extra choice or each lesson you pick with this option.)

[X] Help Libra at Naga's shrine
[X] Find a board-game partner
[X] Frederick's Fitness Day
[X] Studying Wyvere Physiologos
[X] Spend time in the library
- [X] Study Plegia. You know that Ylisse fought them in war, but why? For what reason? Answer these burning questions, and perhaps learn of some Plegian culture. What is it doing today anyhow?
- [X] Study the mercenary situation in Ylisse. They're swords for hire, but what are the rates? Do they have a code of conduct, and if not, why does the kingdom allow them to run amuck?
- [X] Study Valm. Yet another war fought, but why? You want to know how these people lived, what culture they participated in, the organization of their armies, the works. Rationalize the meaning of war, and...what the heck are they doing now?
- [X] Farming techniques. Yes, you have had a fantasy of working on a farm in slacks once in a while. Don't judge!

[X] Write-in: Pay Respects. The Gears of War were oiled in the slick blood of soldiers. Organize a trip to a memorial or cemetery so you could thank all these brave men, women, and beast for their sacrifice in the name of your country. Remember...you might have to do the same.

Training, knocking out things we can actually finish (like the book and boardgame), preparing for what's to come, all that good stuff.

[X] Help Libra at Naga's shrine : you saw how much work healing those in need could be for Libra ; and you wonder if maybe you could be of use. An Exalt's duty is to its people, and what better way to help them? You lack experience in that domain, true, but you refuse to make it an excuse to do nothing.
[X] Spend time in the library : while books never quite held the same appeal as swords to you, you also know that knowledge is a necessary tool for any ruler deserving of the name. And at the very least, you are decided not to be a disappointment on that front
-[X] Big black dragons
[X] Frederick's Fitness Day : one frustrating thing about being seven : being so small. Yet, in your eyes, that's no reason to slack off. It is only natural, then, to seek the stern guardian of the Shepherds for some early training. Still, you wonder why everyone seems terrified when you tell them about your plan...

[] Ask for new teachers : you don't have anything against lady Armelle and sir Ogham, really, you don't. But those tutors, appointed in your parents absence, have trouble keeping your attention. Maybe you could ask if someone else would be available to teach you?
What does this do for us? Find us better teachers?

[X] Ask Lon'qu for Chon'sin style lessons : without Say'ri around, the Feroxi champion is the only one you can turn to who's around on a semi-regular basis. Only problem is, you don't think he likes you all that much...

[X] Studying Wyvere Physiologos : the book Cherche gave you contains a lot of informations, too much to be assimilated all at once. Still, if you want to be serious about this wyvern matter, you'll need to put some effort in. Maybe studying the theory will prove useful someday...

5/6, need to decide on the last one... later.

Will helping Severa be a future vote option?

Will helping Severa be a future vote option?

It won't be an option, but an automatic event ; right now, she's considering her choices. That being said, if you want, you can be proactive with your own options if you think you have an idea that can help.

SWORD HARDER. OBVIOUSLY.

[x] Help Libra at Naga's shrine : you saw how much work healing those in need could be for Libra ; and you wonder if maybe you could be of use. An Exalt's duty is to its people, and what better way to help them? You lack experience in that domain, true, but you refuse to make it an excuse to do nothing.

we are a symbol of hope and light
or a child of one, whatever

[x] Spend time in the library : while books never quite held the same appeal as swords to you, you also know that knowledge is a necessary tool for any ruler deserving of the name. And at the very least, you are decided not to be a disappointment on that front
  • [x] Pegasi and Wyverns. Surely we can find more out about how they are similar, different, etc-- if we want to be as cool as Minerva and Cherche, we have to know Wyverns extremely well as well!
  • (running off of the assumption that Lucina only has the patience to do one subject per time at library, I am. If >1 is allowed, I'd say Plegia and Valm should be prioritized, though beyond those three I don't know. Really we should get a familiarity with all cultures if possible...)

[x] Spend time in the stables : between your mother and Cherche's lessons, you have become more eager to learn about the best ways to care about animals these last weeks. And what better way to learn than to spend time with them? Well, it would be pretty strenuous, probably.

"fun"fun""fun"!!!!!!!

[x] Continue your flying lessons : this first taste of the sky makes you want to do more. Mother already proposed you and Cynthia to join her and Cordelia for some aerial exercises. You already know what your sister will answer, and you admit the prospect of learning more is tempting.

family time is best time. we should get severa to practice flying, and chrom to teach severa.

[x] Studying Wyvere Physiologos : the book Cherche gave you contains a lot of informations, too much to be assimilated all at once. Still, if you want to be serious about this wyvern matter, you'll need to put some effort in. Maybe studying the theory will prove useful someday...

c'mon we gotta read the thing we like; plus wyverns and pegasi just gotta have some things related

we are not suicidal pls
no

[] Double down on your lessons : studying is one thing, but things worth doing are worth doing well.
  • [] Sword training (Ylissean royal style)
  • [] History and customs of Ylisse
  • [] Etiquette lessons
slow and steady wins the race; no need to rush ((and doubling on swords doesn't count fully because it's two different swordings))

[] Quality time with your sister : Cynthia idolizes you, and you couldn't ask for a better sibling yourself. Yet, you feel like you spent the last months trying to be her mother during your parent's absence. Now that they're back, perhaps it is time to relearn being her sister as well.

>relearn being her sister
unpossible; we are obviously the best sister by existing.

[] Find a board-game partner : Virion's gift is magnificent, but of limited utility without someone to play with (though you admit simply lining up the figurines for imaginary battles was quite enjoyable in its own right). Surely someone in the palace would be willing to try?

no time slot left; though this is my seventh priority for meta reasons
(actually the fact that my reason for picking this is meta is why it isn't higher)

But we need those stat gains to start cutting mountains in half.
better solution
become pegachariot, carry battalion over mountain

much less damage to world and easier

Its still a good intro to tactics if you want a non-meta reason.
yeah, but non-meta, she has plenty of time to learn tactical mastery, so why do that now?

plus non-meta it's more sit-and-wait, and kids do suck at that. hence, prioritizing more active activities seems more appropriate to me. ><
