@Prok Can
[] Spreadsheet Training be taken as an 8th choice? And if so will it have some secondary impact for doing that?
It can be taken as an 8th choice, yes- essentially, Jaune would just work on it whenever he has a spare moment, something which is much easier for him considering, well, he has a keyboard underneath his fingertips at all times, and if I say something doesn't take up an entire slot, that means it doesn't take up any significant chunks of time like, say, coding, or socialising. It is, essentially, free money. The only
real impact I can think of is that you would get the money at the very end of the week, instead of just before any point where you'll be spending it.
@Prok, can you clarify this option? Can we go shopping for multiple things in multiple stores or is it just one of the three options offered?
GOD BLESS SLEEP DEPRIVATION LAD
Ok, path of least resistance, path of least resistance- ah!
You'll get a list of everything available in each shop, but the winning vote is what'll have actual development thrown at it. On top of whichever sisters decide to accompany you.
BECAUSE WE DON'T HAVE ENOUGH CHARACTERS ALREADY APPARENTLY
Okay, that Penny scene was awesome. It's interesting how distinct the Transistor AI is from both Royce and Bracket. And y'know, I've never really thought about it, but the Transistor doesn't HAVE sensors outside Analyze(), and that's a function of Jaune's Semblance. It's for Jaune, not Royce/Bracket/Transistor. Yeep.
Well, really, it's for all three of them. It has no
physical sensors, like cameras, or microphones, so all its information comes from a sourceless font of near-limitless information. They don't
feel what way up they are, they're just
told what way up they are.
As for the sheer distinction between them, I wanted to find a happy medium between Blue and Bracket, on top of trying to give the feeling of something... entirely
more than the sum of its parts, in the same way a Culture Mind is so much more than its avatar.
Good stuff! You're definitely on the right track to getting a perfect score here- there's a few other things people should be able to figure out, and just this once I'm willing to throw my own advice out there if people are genuinely struggling, but between you and Sivantic, I don't think it's going to be a problem.
Speaking of-
[X] Write-in: Ask her how long she has been holding this in. Ask if she like it if we were to call her instead of text. Ask her to start from the beginning and let it play out. What she says/texts is actually unimportant. What matters right now is giving her somewhere to finally vent upon and giving her that. Regardless of what she says, stay calm. Once she is done, then thank her for telling you. Ask her if it is okay to meet up again tomorrow. Admit that you are a little tired and want to be able to give her your full attention. If not, ask when would be an appropriate time to call her again.
I just want to address this very quickly.
I'm... looking at the texting write-in with a very specific mindset- namely, I have
been in this situation more times than I can count, so I like to think that I have... if nothing like an education in therapy, at least a decent grasp on how these things should be handled. That's what I meant when I said the write-ins would be judged purely on what you say- because, for once, I actually
do know what I'm talking about, and I have a handle on
how Ada, as someone who is currently opening herself up to you about something terrible that's happened to her, will react to different things being said.
I'm picking on you right now because your suggestion is actually...
startlingly close to how I responded pretty much the first time I had to do this.
I'm still trying to figure out if that's a good thing or not.
