That took a surprising turn. Social Link with Ada is starting to go and we learn about Penny.

Anyway, here's my choices:

Dosh Acquirement
[X] SDC OS Installation (1 week left, 8000 Lien, ???(?))
[X] Spreadsheet Training (2 weeks left, 2500 Lien, doesn't count towards a full slot- it's essentially free money at this point)

Social
[X] Ada

Training:
[X] Swordsmanship- SLASHY STABBY (C- 9/120)

Coding:
[X] SPECIAL OPTION- Ok look, I know you lot and this particular shade of red have had something of a rocky relationship in the past, but it promises it's changed, and it wants to try again. In exchange for three timeslots, you will get a Mystery Function- the only thing I'm going to tell you about it is that it is essentially an entirely new system in and of itself, and the cost is entirely justified for what you'll get.

Upgrades:
[X] Computer Store- Woah mama. This... this is your place. Your domain. I mean, I'm not saying you could probably find everything in here blindfolded and Transistorless, but... you totally could. And it's also where you buy stuff for upgrading the Transistor's MEM banks. Go figure.

[X] Thanks for telling me, I'm open to listening if you want to vent about it

WEEK 2 CHOICES

PICK SEVEN

Dosh Acquirement (Money- 17,600 Lien):

[X] Hyper Arcade (Permanent, 9000 Lien per slot)
[X] SDC OS Installation (1 week left, 8000 Lien, ???(?))
[X] Spreadsheet Training (2 weeks left, 2500 Lien, doesn't count towards a full slot- it's essentially free money at this point)

[X] Lumen- Hang out with Lumen for a day. Just chill, do stupid shit, stuff like that.
[X] Creme- {... Touch the tail-} FUCK OFF NO- Hang out with Creme! She seems nice! Maybe she can help you out with Ada or something! {... Ok but what's the tail feel like-} AAAARGH-
[X] Ada- ...

Don't care about anything else. Just want the mystery box.

[X] It sounds like you have been holding this is for a while now. Would you like to call me?

Dosh Acquirement (Money- 17,600 Lien):

[X] SDC OS Installation (1 week left, 8000 Lien, ???(?))

Plot hook ahoy! more seriously this could be the first hint of Cinder's plot, or could advance Penny's plotline. Its also our last chance to pursue this particularly plot hook.

[X] Spreadsheet Training (2 weeks left, 2500 Lien, doesn't count towards a full slot- it's essentially free money at this point)
Free money 'nuf said

Listen, I have been voting for more Cream at every oppurtunity, the author seems to be hinting that something special will happen here so we should do it. Also I'd like to have all of our Signal teammates plotline started before we get into Beacon so we don't have a Blake moment where we get completely blindsided by a problem.

[X] Ada- ...
There are times when people need space, but this is not one of those times. We should at least follow up with Ada to make sure shes not panicking and planning on running away or something stupid.

I would like to get to the point where we get our own style before we get to Beacon.

[x] Plan: Redshirt Army

So I just got Pyre.

IT IS FANTASTIC AAAAAAH.

Seriously. It is, in my opinion, just as good as Transistor. And of course, it looks beautiful and the soundtrack is incredible.

Suddenly I want to see the Rites in Remnant. Inspiration strikes! And then is set aside because goddamnit, finals are coming up.

We have so much crap we need to do, my god. I think I need an itemized checklist or something.

[x] Plan: Redshirt Army

Edit: Guh, planning.

@Prok Can [] Spreadsheet Training be taken as an 8th choice? And if so will it have some secondary impact for doing that?

[X] Plan: Redshirt Army

I like this plan. I was about to make this exact plan.

Also update squeeeeeee

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

[X] I'm glad you feel comfortable enough to tell me. If you need to talk, I'm here.

Edited in my vote for talking to Ada.

I'm tired as shit right now, but when I get up tomorrow I'm going to give that whole talky write-in a shot.

Hooray, it's back! Just what I needed during crunch time! X.X

Okay, that Penny scene was awesome. It's interesting how distinct the Transistor AI is from both Royce and Bracket. And y'know, I've never really thought about it, but the Transistor doesn't HAVE sensors outside Analyze(), and that's a function of Jaune's Semblance. It's for Jaune, not Royce/Bracket/Transistor. Yeep.

[] SPECIAL OPTION- Ok look, I know you lot and this particular shade of red have had something of a rocky relationship in the past, but it promises it's changed, and it wants to try again. Haha, is this what I think it is? :) If it is... eh fuckit, who needs sleep, lemme see if I can save us some time units.

RIP in peace. I really wish I liked Pyre better tho', just couldn't into it. Loved what it tried to do ofc.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Only for the 'murricans in the audience, the rest of the world is still working. And the Canadians did theirs last month, too. :lol

Considering how she closed herself off, I am not sure I like the way the write-in is phrased.

Maybe something like...

[X] Write-in: Ask her how long she has been holding this in. Ask if she like it if we were to call her instead of text. Ask her to start from the beginning and let it play out. What she says/texts is actually unimportant. What matters right now is giving her somewhere to finally vent upon and giving her that. Regardless of what she says, stay calm. Once she is done, then thank her for telling you. Ask her if it is okay to meet up again tomorrow. Admit that you are a little tired and want to be able to give her your full attention. If not, ask when would be an appropriate time to call her again.

Jaune has likely already seen more of her than she has ever shown anyone in a while, yet despite eight hours passing by, she still texted him. The reason why I say to not focus on the topic is that this conversation is going to be more for her benefit than ours. This is not about a juicy story or a plotline to follow. This is about a girl who had her face mutilated by a serial killer that is still out there, yet still had the courage to try to explain her story to her first friends in while.

The reason I do not want to be passive about asking as the other write in is that it has a bigger chance of letting her back out. She already confessed, we should help her keep going, not make her hesitate. Reason for asking to call, is that I find talking to sometimes be less frustrating than texting. Maybe she would too.

Watsonian reasoning for the last part is remember that this is about Ada and admit that we are not in the right state to be good advice. Doylist reasoning is that a whole lot can change about the situation depending on what she tells Jaune. I do not feel comfortable giving her 'helpful' advice(besides getting a therapist, because seriously) before we know..

[X] SDC OS Installation (1 week left, 8000 Lien, ???(?))

[X] Ada- ...

[X] Penny- You know what, yeah, this robot girl sounds interesting, if nothing else. Go talk to her, see what she's all about.

[X] Try and finish what you've got? Cache.

We are 55 points from upgrading Cache from Alpha to Beta stage. We can get through that!

[Q] Go into town- and to think you ignored this option for so long. Yes, go into town, look around the stores, and grab stuff that'll help you out. Computer parts, skill books, event rolls, new weapons, all in one convenient option! You're way above the minimum limit, so don't worry.
@Prok, can you clarify this option? Can we go shopping for multiple things in multiple stores or is it just one of the three options offered?

So...no one is going to even consider working Functions?

Also Redshirt Army did not have a vote considering what to say. Maybe discuss that further?

I will gladly discuss what to say.. later, because I'm working on an update to my own quest. I will say the current bandwagon makes us sound way too flippant about this, and I'll be back to elaborate after lunch.

@Sivantic this is what were gonna text her in the morning. I'm sorry if my write in seems flippant but I wanted Jaune to come of as 'you can tell me your secrets when comfortable" instead of being "I want your secrets now". With me making the other person comfortable always ends up with them opening up more than just asking.

[x] Plan: Redshirt Army
I'm just going to piggy-back on this, because it's pretty much identical, with just one major change.
[X] Plan: Redshirt Army 2.0

You close the door behind you and lean against the door. Slowly, you feel something like ice creep up on your heart, the disbelief in what you saw unable to hold up under the memories.

You know what you saw. Smooth.

Shiny.

Bone white. Red markings. Four eyeholes, a pronounced beak, reminiscent of a raven, or its counterpart.

Your name is Creme Daylaw, and you're coming to terms with the fact that your brother may have joined the White Fang.
I get that people want to meet with Penny, but Creme's brother joined the White Fang and she could really use some help dealing with that. Also, like her vote option says, she might be able to help with Ada. Jaune is not good at social.
"Look, I'm not saying that all Faunus are part of the White Fang, I'm just saying that, when you turn away a Faunus for acting shifty in your store, you do stock afterwards, look at the security cameras, find out the little rat actually did steal something, and then your establishment gets firebombed by goddamn terrorists anyway, pardon my Mistrali, I think you're entitled to a little hostility!"
We just got a reminder that the Faunus/Human situation is getting worse. Meeting Penny would be great, but she's not as high priority as Creme is.
Maybe something like...
Sounds like a good start, but I'm ready to edit this later with when people come up with more ideas. I'm wondering if offering her a guest room in Casa de Arc (at some point later on) is a good idea or if it's presumptuous, what do you guys think?
