Heck, just give him a bunch of Process buddes/combat forms to back him up (down the line, obviously); since they're a gestalt/single consciousness, one "dying" wouldn't actually...die.
God no. Do NOT do that. That way lies horrific errors and exceptions crashing the Process. Programming is highly vulnerable to even a single bit being incorrectly flipped between 1 or 0

Hmm, considering that your semblence is a manifestation of your soul(and self), that Qrow has an uncontrolled, and indiscriminate aura of misfortune sounds like a nasty case of feedback effect, in that he has internalized "bad things happen, they don't need a reason" as part of his self identity...

There isn't really a way to fix that other than time travel intervention at a young age OR extreme spiritual surgery that'd not leave him the same person he was.

There's simply a point where what the Process needs to understand lies outside of the bounds of human knowledge, and it'll have to research it its own damn self, and that point is rapidly approaching. It's also where that Bedrock option is finally going to pay off- more Process matter means more Process power, means more Process control, means more Process underground playgrounds where they blow shit up and write down the results.
... Aperture Science,
We do what we must,
because,
we can.

I'm not sorry.

That's what it did, and that's the level it's at now- it can do basic first-aid,

Just gonna point out that it should be capable of way more than just "basic first-aid". It should be good to act as a cutting edge medical facility, albeit one likely missing critical supplies. Hard to fix "bleeding out" without more blood even if you can easily perform the surgery needed to close things up after all

Qrow's semblance doesn't work like that. Otherwise he'd never be allowed anywhere where there's critical electronic/digital equipment, and his Scroll would quickly become a glitchy mess that barely works at all. "Misfortune" does not mean "everyone around you gets brain damage". Otherwise, all of STRQ would have gotten cancer long ago.

Plus, the Process is a gestalt/single consciousness. You can't corrupt the entire Process by screwing with one combat form--it'd be like rewriting someone's brain by scratching their fingernail.

Would it perhaps just maybe, be a bit more akin to rigging a handful of individual nerves in the finger to itch/pain/burn/crush to their maximum sustainable extent every time that the hand approached, say, alcohol? Sometimes a very cleverly crafted stimuli can overcome with guile that which cannot be bested through force...

Hey, they gotta keep all those subterranean Grimm occupied somehow.

...

I'm not making it canon, I'm not making it canon-
I mean. Testing and observation regarding the behavior of Grimm when not in interaction with humans *could* provide quite a fair bit of interesting, if not terribly applicable, information for the Library...

So what I am taking from all of this:

We need to kidnap Mr. Serial Killer The Fleshcrafter for the Process to experiment on. (Also it would literally be both heaven and hell for the guy, considering his dream life looks like Aperture Science post-neurotoxin)

We need to kidnap Crow for the Process to stress test new techniques with, because every way things can go wrong teaches the Process more about how things should go right, as well as teaching the Process through sheer exposure therapy how to tell the difference between theoretically good enough and realiably good enough, because a bad luck effect is perfect for teaching a baby AI how to avoid over investing in pursuing perfectionistic omnipotence.

I think Ada will be happy with us feeding Mr. Genoscythe The Eyeraper v2.0 to the Process bedrock testing facilities.

[X] Music
[X] Civics
[X] Aura Arts
[X] Glyphcraft

Pretty straightforward I feel. Music is for fun/thematic/easier class.

The rest is because the sooner we know them the better. Civics, problems with Government could start any month now. Aura Arts, we have a worryingly low aura. Glyphcraft, magic's important, plus it could help Jaune with the various esoteric subjects that only he knows how to do.

Why the others can wait: CQC is obviously useful, but we're not in a rush to become best buds with Ozpin, and close quarters isn't a particularly important part of our combat style. Legends, secrets, and other historical stuff can also wait a Semester, Process/Transistor/starting a business is more important for the near future than uncovering the hidden past of Remnant.

And, with that, voting is closed- Civics won first place with a whole 50 votes, making it, to my knowledge, the most popular choice in the entire quest, followed by Music, Glyphcraft, and Aura Arts, only just barely beating out CQC by four votes.

Update will be up- and I damn well mean it this time- by Friday, and only because this is my first week back at college.

One day I will figure out how you people influence the questing hive-mind. And I will be unstoppable.

-[x] Guerilla Gardening
[x] CQC (Close-Quarters Combat)
[x] Aura Arts

I'm assuming that Guerilla Gardening and Gardening both take one slot together, rather than counting as two classes.

You know, Im glad that we took the time to pick the class that might help Jaune learn control over his semblance, but I cant help but feel that watching Ozpin teach CQC would have been amazing.

EDIT:
Also, Prok, what....
What is your icon/avatar/account picture thing? Is that a hat? Is that a man with an afro? Who is the funkmaster general??,

Do not ask questions you are not prepared to understand.
