Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

I think they didn't default to that because they can tell it isn't magic.
Arash isn't a mage and aren't all of Caldea's dead? As far as I remember Da Vinci and the temp director are the only ones who know for sure, I don't know that anyone else would be able to identify it as 'not magic' rather than 'not magic I understand'.
And given Taylor is interested in limiting the future reports of the UN from knowing about her parallel world origin I really doubt it got made public.

Arash has Clairvoyance A, and thus probably knows something. There has been no indication that anyone else other than Arash suspects that Taylor's power isn't magecraft.

Romani and Da Vinci not could because they had already been told by this point.

Romani and Da Vinci didn't put two and two together when they where speaking to Taylor about sudden unexpected brain tumor that appeared immediately before she began using a previously unknown spell?

The twins and the Servants didn't know Taylor as part of the group of Masters, Romani and Da Vinci did so they should know this is new, rather than something like "All the insects in Fubuki were dead.".
E:
Taylor straight up told them.
"The term we used was 'capes,'" I said, because there didn't seem a point in avoiding it now. "People with strange, supernatural powers who donned costumes and went out to do… Well, to commit crime and to fight it, depending on which side of the line you were supposed to be on." Although the labels turned out to not really mean anything, hadn't they? Hero and villain was more a matter of PR than deed. "I was one of them."

"What kind of supernatural powers?" Da Vinci asked carefully.

There are at least two magi still remaining on staff. Sylvia is one, Meuniere is the other. Of the two, Sylvia is closer to the traditional Clock Tower type, but I do believe a note is made in the text of FGO or the materials somewhere about how Chaldea attracts deviant magi rather than the traditional, cold-blooded researchers we hear about but rarely actually see (and they're almost always the antagonists when we do). So she might be a little stuck up, but she's a decent person deep down.

Sylvia is also kind of Schrodinger's magus. She is noted as surviving the purge at the start of Part 2 (which cuts the already small remaining crew essentially in half, unless I missed new staff being assigned during Remnants), but at the start of LB5, her name is missing from the "staff of Novum Chaldea," unless one of the names given is actually her surname.

You know, based on how Taylor teaches, her general intensity and life experiences, and her killing something humans generally aren't meant to kill and experiencing the consequences of that...
I wondered how she'll react to and get along with Scathach.

These sorts of callback training sessions (or battles, or what have you) are always fun. It's one thing to see Taylor being her usual intense self as you wander around the countryside trying to deal with things that can't be killed by mortal hands. It's another entirely to see her in her natural environment: in full intimidating costume, surrounded by bugs, playing out the fullness of her creativity in traps and swarms against people who very much do care about getting hit.

Nostalgic for her, a little glimpse into the true self for them. I very much look forward to watching it play out.

So I forgot to ask this last chapter, but where did Taylor get those ravens from? I missed that somehow.

"Oh great, there's a Pseudo Servant running around in my grandma's body."

"Wait, that actually IS Grandma!?"

I don't know, an interlude isn't necessarily from the PoV of a character that isn't the MC.
That's how it's done in Worm, so that's how I treat it in Worm fics. That's also how it tended to be in FSN — whenever Nasu wanted to cut away from Shirou's POV to show others' activities, he'd have that section bookended by "interlude in" and "interlude out."

EDIT: So what I'm trying to say is, all interludes will be from another character's viewpoint. Just one character at a time, though. Swapping viewpoints mid-chapter tends to work only in very specific ways, which means that the only people who try it are absolute novices who flip-flop from paragraph to paragraph or very experienced writers who know how to make it work without jarring the reader out of the story.

In the meantime, we can do a couple of other things, like have the twins wade through Skitter's worst.

Next chapter will be loads of fun.
You won't hear it and i definitely won't do it in real life if i can help it, but there is currently a chibi me cackling the Evil Laugh with lightning in the background and organ music blasting. I really look forward to the trauma Taylor will visit upon the twins. It'll be education for them, but oh boy will it haunt them.

Honestly though, i don't think you'll put them through Skitter's worst just yet. Her worst is really, really Bad... or maybe fandom has blown it out of proportion. I'm uncomfortable with bugs, but not quite phobia level, so it'd be Bad for me. Now sure what you imagine her worst is.

Well, maybe her "worst" is a bit of an exaggeration, but I'm sure the twins won't feel that way by the time it's over.

Skitter/Weaver version would just be a "black screen" with yellow eyes peering at you from within it and the Japanese critter crawling sound effect. There isn't anything else to say about that... Maybe stick one of Arash's arm out from it?

Master Taylor version would probably be girl in Chaldea white uniform just standing there with  for expression and brandishing the nanothorn knife? Depending on which part of her personality you want to exaggerate she'll either jump to Olga Marie's defense against Gudako or terrify everyone simply by just standing there with Olga Marie reluctantly using her as a shield against everyone.

I probably isn't doing it justice though.
