Hereafter [Worm x Fate/Grand Order]

Well.....I just realized how horrible a Wever/Skitter would be as a caster. Hell, she doesn't need cool magic, just insects capable of damaging and affecting servants.

PS: A great chapter, great. work, I love your stories

And Senpai walked through everything, all of the chaos and the carnage, cool as a cucumber and twice as prickly.
I think you want sea cucumbers. Some of those are pretty prickly.
They're going to be unpacking that in therapy for the rest of their lives.
On the other hand, if she thoroughly replace their fear with just her, then they won't be easily frightened.
For example:
"Ahahahahah!" Rika bursted into laughter. There was just a slight hint of something bad in it. Then with empty eyes that speak of unspeakable things, the female master said, "Senpai is way scarier than you by far!"

A great truth, this is a great side effect of fighting Skitter, almost nothing is as bad as bugs... well maybe giant bugs are... the twins have all the gods to thank that Atlas is dead.

Yeah that's pretty much how I thought it was going to go down, but they were a lot more thoughtful about it for most of the exercise than I expected them to be. Still a very fun chapter, and happy birthday @James D. Fawkes!

But that was why he was the bestest brother in the whole wide world, and Rika wouldn't trade him for anyone. Not even the cute, adorable Mash, who was just a cinnamon roll.
"And if she played her cards right she could still get her as her sister without having to trade her brother."
And today is January 29th, so... ♪Happy birthday to me~♪
It is currently -5f here in Michigan so this seems pretty appropriate

People are always so into the whole 'Queen of Escalation' meme, that you rarely see people talk about what an absolute dork Taylor can be at times. I know it was designed to be scary as hell for the twins, but Taylor must have been cackling her ass off with this.

I also appreciated the look into Rika's head. She's overwhelmed but she's hanging in there, it's pretty realistic.

Happy birthday James, hope you enjoy it!

Oh, if only there was a Servant capable of providing therapy... oh wait.

Just wait till they meet Oberon-Vortigern. Anything Skitter can do, he can do better.

Also, Happy Birthday!

One is a human. The other is... well, Him. One is backed by extraterrestrial bio-super-computer. The other is backed by Britain and all the crazies in it.

I really want to see if anyone can accurately portray them snarking passive aggressively at each other while everyone else cowered off screen.

Setting aside all the usual Worm/Taylor/ESCALATION!! memes... Ritsuka definitely got the 100% Servant compatibility aspect, whereas Rika is, what?

Just the Straight Gal/Tsukkomi to Ritsuka's (not-really) Wise Guy/Boke? Much deeper insecurities (compared to Onii-chan) compensated by what, precisely?

Tactically, the twins (seem) to be mostly on-par with one another, yet Ritsuka has (yet) to reveal his own weaknesses and/or shortcomings...

...although Shakespeare being his compatibility summon is rather, disturbing in its implications, compared to EMIYA for Rika (who may in fact be a Ruthless Combat Pragmatist in-the-making, just (initially?) overshadowed by Taylor).

And THAT in turn makes me wonder if Rika will be the one who ends up sufficiently desensitized that she will 'take point' if or when Cosmos in the Lostbelt kicks off, and her the potential Counter-Force candidate in a possible future.

EDIT: I should clarify; whereas outwardly Rika is the Wise Gal and Ritsuka the Straight Man... as described in this Interlude, inwardly she views herself as the opposite, contrary to as shown in the actual story chapters.

Bear in mind that EMIYA is more than just a ruthless pragmatist. He's also someone who enjoys housework, a dedicated practitioner of a very narrow field of magecraft, a traveler. an adventurer, a cook and was the straight man to the entire fate stay night cast of servants at times. He's also someone who has a tendency to lose sight of the big picture and focus on his immediate situation (he grew out of that somewhat, but UBW route is fairly obviously an example that that myopia exists still).

Fair enough, but that doesn't quite answer my original question; what unique trait(s) does Rika (either now, or eventually) have to contribute to the Chaldean Master trio?

For now, she's little more than a Deadpan Snarker and likely Bro-Con who uses such to not think too deeply about the implications of the Moonlit World and/or the Incineration of Humanity, has some degree of tactical acumen (again, on-par with her twin's), got EMIYA for compatibility, but what about beyond what I listed?

It's not even like emiya is that bad at regular magecraft, at the very least he's got bounded fields down, he kinda has to in order to be able to summon his reality marble, since like half the work is becoming good enough to manifest the one you have, the other half of course is developing one in the first place.

Also, happy birthday my dude!

Cucumbers aren't typically prickly at all, Rika, so twice as prickly is still not prickly at all.
That's 100% depend on cucumber. Like first 25 years of my life I didn't eat one that wasn't homegrown - and those were prickly at least a bit... and often enough a lot. Though after you remove pointy bits taste was excellent.
