[X] Complain to Sprout - It affects the good of House Hufflepuff if Harry is singled out and causes harm to everyone as a result. Inform Professor Sprout instead - she's almost certain to be the most sympathetic to your plight, as well.

Potions and alchemy are not Harry's specialty. They don't have the potential to save Harry's life in a dangerous situation like charms and transfiguration either.

Des is a very smart bird. I bet he has a different perspective on this problem.
I just want to read about Harry and Des talking to each other.

[X] Malicious Compliance - Harry will dedicate more focus to studying Potions, Alchemy, and similar topics over most other subjects. His intent is to master the First-Year syllabus before the end of the month so that Snape will have a nasty surprise. He'll also comply with the Potion Master's demands, but always in the most malicious way.

We don't have a speciality yet, it's the first week of class. We will be better served learning as much as we can then by goofing off.

Study study study study
Make him regret

🤦‍♂️

We do not have unlimited time. Charms/duelling + other stuff is way more important. Also, being Hermione's rival means we will study potions too. No need to go all in on this nonsense.

We can escalate later if Sprout does nothing but what makes you think that the head of the most politicaly powerful house that has strong in-house loyalty would do nothing

I'm going to say that Sprout is possibly too obvious. While Sprout has the ability to make Snape's job difficult assuming she sources his supplies, Snape knows we know Occlumency and can notify Dumbledore of this. Snape is presumably loyal to Dumbledore and vice versa and we have no reason to think he's busy with Apocryphal stuff yet. Though I suppose Sprout can engage in compensatory favoritism if necessary. If it's obvious we're trying to make his life difficult we can expect escalation and must be prepared to win.

Complaining to Dumbledore let's us be the first story in his ear potentially if Snape intends to notify Dumbledore of his discovery that Harry is suspiciously knowledgeable about Occlumency, where did he learn it? Of course, Dumbledore is a wild card.

McGonagall let's us potentially launder the source of the complaint, especially if Sprouts aptitude for political games against Snape isn't enough.

In conclusion the strategic logistics here are complicated.

As an Australian of chinese heritage; everyone ive known has called them shui jiao.

anyways, i wonder what the significance of these food choices are? i would analyse them but im currently busy eating dinner
It's the same root word (the character for jiao is the same in jiaozi and shui jiao). Shui jiao just means the boiled version. Interestingly enough the characters for jiaozi and gyoza (japanese version) are the exact same too.

he been here for a very long time and has been doing this for a very long time which means he has found surefire ways to insulate himself from backlash's he has inevitable received

Who wants to be a pure Combat Drone when through the power of ALCHEMY! one can become more than the sum of their parts, and completely break the game by using these skills in supplementing our dueling abilities...the question then becomes, do we want to be a fullbore combat utilitarian Witcher or do we lean more Skyrim munchkinism?

How legal is invading minds, anyway? That sounds like the sort of thing that would be criminal in most sane societies, but then nobody ever accused magical Britain of being sane.
