By the way, Seek Death is a lot more badass than I thought.

What does the Seek Death option mean, Harry will not resist fate?
Birdsie — Today at 6:44 PM
You misunderstand
pretty heavily
Heed the Spirit's Advice
is the milquetoast approach
in which you merely do what the spirit said, to avoid dying
Seek Death is the
reach heaven through violence approach
where you literally embark on an epic crusade against death itself as a concept
Lealope — Today at 6:45 PM
how is that not worth even more greatness
Fghubyygvb — Today at 6:45 PM
Stuff death's face?
Birdsie — Today at 6:45 PM
It's not the path the heavens charted for you
The Greatness and Willpower bonus from Heed Advice comes from following the valley the river of fate carved out for you in the world's potential
Seek Death says, 'fuck that valley' and climbs the mountain instead

[X] Seek Death

Following out your charted fate? How about blazing forwards a path that only we have made?

Sounds a whole lot more fun. :V

[X] Do As You Please

Just because harry will not prepare dose not mean we won't. Harry for most of this quest has not know he was in any real danger but we have and have been preparing him for it regardless

We are soon going to suffer major mental damage. we need Do As You Please to mitigate it. Their is a reason not remembering was a perk and the not dementor has confirmand us not remembering was a good thing and it's bad we are remembering

Pulse it will be fun to confuse death

Lightwavers has it right. And I doubt that Harry will utterly ignore the warnings even in the Do As You Please case. At the very least, he would tell Geist, Neville, and Hermione.

Fuck sanity. Fuck sanity. Fuck sanity. Fuck sanity.

Stop shitting all your pants over sanity. Oh noes. Harry will suffer sanity damage. We need to fucking help him stay sane.

God fucking damn it. It's a dumb quest character. Take a damn piss over sanity.

You know what would help? That sweet sweet willpower gain that will help Harry cope. That greatness+ too. Given that Greatness is often used to refer to Tris? It's gonna be fantastic.

Stop giving a fuck about sanity like you all have been from the whole quest and maybe focus on more important things. Harry suffering some sanity damage doesn't matter.

If he thinks it's just a dream, why would he warn anybody about it?

As pointed out above, I think the sanity gain would be from disregarding the dream as important.

[X] Heed the Spirit's Advice

Sometimes you've just gotta stare into the abyss and tell it to come get some if it thinks it's hard enough. Harry has enough of a margin for error that we can afford to vote for what would be most interesting to read, rather than prioritizing survival above all else. Or to put in another way, we can prioritize everybody else's survival too.

[X] Seek Death

"
The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death."

I think the mental stability from Do As You Please is fake/fragile for it comes from rejecting reality. A sane man does not reject reality, he accepts it and changes his actions to fit the new understanding of reality (the hero rejects reality to replace it with his own but that is the domain of seek death). Reality will catch up and when it does our mental stability will fall if we do as we please

[X] Seek Death

I have beef with death. Will switch to heed advice if needed to beat Do As You Please. While I don't agree with some people that sanity damage is something you can ignore, this is a very important turning point in the quest and I don't like the story beat of ignoring a major event because we don't feel good.

[X] Seek Death

If the powers of the world are willing to preserve life and yet unable, then their station is an insult.
If the powers of the world are able to preserve life and yet unwilling, then they must be destroyed.

[X] Seek Death

Fuck this needless concept so much. World'd be better without it.

Close vote; basically tied. I'm considering fully swapping to Seek Death, but the fact that it will make the quest even harder and we were already thrown for a loop gives me pause. For now, I am torn enough that:

[X] Seek Death

[X] Do As You Please

-edit: And with that, Seek Death now has the lead...

Omake: The Four Horsemen

"MY CHARGE IS THE LORD OF VESSELS. HE REMEMBERED NONE OF WHAT I TOLD HIM, AS EXPECTED. THIS WILL CAUSE HIM TO BE SLOWER IN SEEKING ME OUT AGAIN, BUT IS STILL LESS SUBOPTIMAL THAN THE COUNTERFACTUAL. HE HAS RECEIVED HIS ACCESSORY, AND IS LIKELY TO HATCH IN TIME. BUT HE HAS ANGERED THE TRAITOR."

"MY CHARGE IS THE FIRST-AND-PEERLESS OF AGRICULTURE. I HAVE YET TO SPEAK TO HER, BUT SHE IS WISE, AND WILL LISTEN UNERRINGLY TO MY COUNCIL IF I APPRAISE HER WITHOUT ERROR. SHE HAS ALSO RECEIVED HER ACCESSORY."

"..."

"DO NOT HESITATE; SPEAK, WE AWAIT YOUR SUMMARY."

"YOU WOULD FIND IT ABSURD."

"I ASSURE YOU THAT WE WOULD NOT."

"HESITANT THOUGH I AM, I WILL TRUST YOUR ASSURANCE. MY CHARGE... IS THE... EXTENSIVE POSTERIOR."

Can a wraith laugh? Perhaps.

[X] Heed the Spirit's Advice - Attempt to train more, in order to avoid your 'fated' demise, and to reach your fated triumphs. If there's a game afoot the winner of which gets to decide what your life looks like, then your only choice is to become its best player.

Now I'm motivated.

It boils down to play style in the end.

Like if we want to play slice of life in Hogwarts, or continue on our current path as we are, or choose the option which really delves into the lore of the story.

Do As You Please

Edit: nevermind. Time to kill death
