quick qn : if we select hermetic attainment do we get the arrogance flaw too ,as part of the child prodigy add-on ?

[X] Prepare For Astronomy OWLs
[X] Sovereign Attainment
[X] Singularity Attainment

Alright, so here's my new vote.

My plan for Sovereign Attainment is to put that Tris slot into Patronus, though we're not voting for the slot now, so if you want something else, we can deal with that in the vote next update.

In addition, Sovereign's Astrology learning boost multiplicatively stacks with Singularity's boost, so:

10 (Singularity) x 2 (Sovereign) x 2 (Thrice Great Sovereign) x ??? (baseline Tris) = we progress 40 times faster than our original Tris boosted Astrology if we have this combo.

It's really solid stuff.

we know Dark Arts can provide rituals that can increase your levels of magical power, even at the scale the higher ends of the human scale was operating at. singularity means that all of those rituals operate at massively increased efficiency because the level it'll be upgrading will be much higher than the relative level of effort required. we also know that, as the years pass, we'll naturally be escalating in magical power, at a rate faster than any of our peers, even without that effort.

not only do we get mastery in the strongest field (consider the price of DA mastery vs. Astro or Runes) to resolve our immediate concerns, we'd also be immune to all forms of magic less powerful than we are (and we can boost that magic beyond any human limit), we also get a full tenfold multiplier in studying another field. As far as a combination between immediate power and long term potential go, this is the best I've got.

That this also puts two additional Tris slots via conventional magic within easier reach is just icing on the cake.

[X] Frenzied Attainment [50 Gnosis]
[X] Ecliptic Attainment

Most fun combination IMO. Everyone is sleeping on Ecliptic!

I see two synergistic possibilities here. Either we go all in on magical power growth with Hermetic and Singularity, or we become a runic god in the model of Odin with Eternal Ancient Runes Mastery and Unoculaic. (Which has the benefit of saving 25 gnosis.)

By the way, I keep seeing the phrase Aermora Bravus. Do we know what it means?

[X] Prepare For Astronomy N.E.W.T.

Birdsey said that we will definitely cope with N.E.W.T. and McGonagall will be in existential shock.

So Birdsie said that the worlds in ecliptic would potentially offer us the opportunity to equal or exceed the power gains of singularity.

Really starting to like this option. Look of lore and just all around more interesting. Of course we'll have to work a fair bit and explore those worlds to get the opportunity to match or exceed singularity but I like the sound of that.

I must confess, I'd enjoy being able to loot other worlds for power far more than getting power from being a black hole.

Tentatively:

[X] Frenzied Attainment
[X] Ecliptic Attainment

Potential to having power isn't equal to just having it. It'd be interesting, sure, but he may very well die in the process of trying to loot some weird dimensional cavern that suppresses magic. Frenzied and Singularity have really good synergies, and frontloading on power now allows for safer exploration of more esoteric options in the future.

Can't we open the gate later with other more expensive methods.
In addition, we need to get the power now and not by the middle of the quest, and the singularity is perfect for our assembly.

[X] Frenzied Attainment (Alchemy)
[X] Ecliptic Attainment

It's a pretty sweet idea, yeah.

I chose Alchemy, by the way, since apparently there's plants that can't be found anywhere else, and as such, would be great for making powerful alchemical concoctions.

Also, Alchemy was stated to have powerful synergy with both Dark Arts and Astrology, which is pretty neat.

Besides, it's insanely impractical to get Mastery in a non Tris school, so Frenzied is legitimately the strongest when it's used in one.

For those worried about safety in the Ecliptic Dimensions: We have the Cloak of Invisibility, so we'll be fine. That Cloak is incredibly buff in this verse, looks like.

in the words of the not-dementor, "AERMORA MEANS TREE, DO YOU ACKNOWLEDGE". I can't find any records of the word 'Aermora' outside this story with google, though(so I don't know what language it's in- it might be a constructed language?), and everything I see for 'Bravus' is brewing. So on the whole, what's known is "Aermora Bravus" is Tree [[Something]], or possibly [[something]] tree depending on grammar of this unknown language.

[X] Hermetic Attainment

[X] Singularity Attainment

magic power, go~

all that talk of looting other worlds, or meeting other potential paths to power are far too uncertain and nebulous for my liking. Greater opportunity means far greater chances for colossal failure, and we don't want to drag worlds down with us... better to rely on this sure path, I think. Are we that truly that confident in ourselves? Besides, with both of these power boosting stackers, by the time Harry's 17, I can't see a world where he isn't at 10 magic power.

Guys, shouldn't we vote builds through plans? Different combinations yield very different things. We don't want to end up with the top highest but strategically incompatible build..

We should discuss and lay it all out before voting.

Case in point.. You might vote for frenzy singularity build.. but end up with singularity Hermetic. Totally different thing.
