Perhaps, but wherever it opens up the fundamental nature is that of an internal exaltation in a thousand hells Halloween mask. Where people can get in doesn't necessarily say much about what we have to do inside.
I disagree; there's hardly any mystery to it at all if they go through the whole process multiple times. It's scary because it's final, but that's not the same in a lot of fundamental ways.

I mean, I think I have a good enough analogy: imagine a tribe of sapient phoenixi that never encountered any animal other than themselves. To them, bursting into flames wouldn't be death. It would be organism's natural healing mechanism. Same here - death would be "the world correcting the accumulated damage". I'm not even sure if ritualistic final death happening under the care of specialists would be considered the same process at all. They are for us, outside of it all, but from the inside? I am not so sure. One is a natural process that heals the body and mind. The other is a magical ritual that forever removes you from the world, shrouded and mysticism and religion. They aren't the same.
Now, imagine the outside world, where, when hiking with a friend and getting trapped after an avalanche, you don't blow his and yours heads out. Where the common treatment for disfigurement isn't execution. Where hostage taking is possible and the stakes are different.

Yeah; I see what you're saying, but I think there's a qualitative difference in the social consequences of one route over the other. Sure the phoenix of your metaphor view it as awful, but they also know what it is very intimately. They know the feeling of age and decline; the terror is in the permanence, not in grappling with a nearly alien experience of the world.

Would the cyber devil have enough control of the phone to bypass the safeties to fry it and/or cook off the battery?
A smart phone is a lot more fragile than a car, so it seems like it should be easier to destroy it for the purposes of the charm's escape clause.
Also, somewhat unrelated, but I wanted to ask about cyber devil security. Not sure if this has been answered already, but can they be used in place of regular encryption?
If we used some of the extra cash from the diamonds to buy cheap prepaid smartphones could we load them with devils then pass them out to Lydia, Micheal, and Charity to have secure communications?
Well, developing exalted as a roleplaying game could be a fun side-show. Would be helpful when / if we open the black vault. And I think it would be part expression, part leadership, part Subterfuge.
I would say no, that is not the kind of thing that is tied into the processor.
As for encryption, when they are actually speaking to each other cyberdevils can be as good at encryption as you would expect two people with professional knowledge of codding to be, assuming they did not eat, drink or need to go to the bathroom, which is to say they are decent at it but not as good as bespoke encryption software
The major cause of lithium ion battery failure explosions are short circuits between the anode and cathode, which happens when the bit of plastic separating them fails. Usually it's a manufacturing defect, but I could see a cyber devil melting/deforming a bit of plastic by redlining everything even if it couldn't directly cook off the battery cells.
Fair enough if you just don't want to deal with it though.
Molly could certainly modify a phone that allows the resident devil to self-destruct, but as long as there is nothing the electronic or mobile parts of the phone can do to melt it the phone cannot self destruct into a bomb in someone's pocket.

Lara has controlled the White Court for the last couple years though, and I dont see any benefit to her or the White Court from helping Kattrin with anything. Quite the opposite; involvement with Kattrin here would pull aggro with both Odin and Mab as well as the White Council.
And while Papa Raith was quite happy to work with black magicians and to make a deal with an Outsider, Whampire corporate policys seem to have generally avoided involvement with the Denarians and necromancers

Madrigal Raith was a movie director. Charles Barrowhill from the "I was a Teenage Bigfoot" short story was a businessman with Congressmen in his pocket and his own personal security team of ghouls.
And of course Thomas was officially cut off financially, blew his nestegg on bailing Dresden out with Kincaid, and then bootstrapped his way back up to successful small business owner.
Only one I can recall who wasnt just very well off was Inari Raith, and she was barely out of college.
Functional Whites dont really seem to do poor in the Dresden Files. Too many social advantages.

There's also a 2-dot charm, Electric Devil Caress, for locating, identifying, accessing, controlling and destroying electronics in an Essence*5 yards radius.
Which is on my mediumterm buy list, because it allows us to identify electronic devices, and to pwn people's phones electronics.
Destroying a phone doesnt really require any of that.
Delete the firmware and the phone stops working. EMP the phone and the electronics will burn out.
Unless by destroyed, you mean with physical signs of damage.
A piece of possessed electronics, whether that be a phone or a high tech toaster cannot be destroyed by any loss of software, that is because the demon does not work off the software, it suborns it. So for instance a demon in the toaster is just as smart as the one in the phone despite the fact that one has vastly more complex software than the other. That said an EMP would do it, as that physically damages the device in a wide spectrum manner.

High appearance, and a few unnatural mental influence 'charms*' ontop of that. With just that a white should be able to do well even without any social skills. And there is nothing stopping them from developing good social skills besides laziness (which should not be discounted as something that likely happens alot).

Just superhuman appearance could suffice to represent mid-level white vamp social; rules allow to breeze through most social interactions without a roll as long as your Attribute+Skill is high enough. Superhuman is high enough for most everything.
Stuff that Lara does to Papa Raith and other blatant mind-manipulation stuff that comes out when White Vamp Tries Really Hard could be represented with oWoD Dominate, probably. Hedge Magic Fascinate is also a good reference for effects, if unsuitable mechanically.

Speaking of appearance - if we were to use TTC for an hour each morning for beautiification purposes (spa, tanning booth, makeup using robotic manipulators with submicrometer precision and mechanically precise coloring, hair and nail styling), would that affect our effective appearance score?
I think a more relevant question is what the difficulty is on the willpower roll Molly needs to make to stick her head into whatever demented bastard child of a blender, squid, and salon hair drier TTC conjures up for her.

I mean logically going to a high end beauty salon would give a temporary bonus to appearance. And Tool Transcending Constructs allow us to manifest whatever tools we want for the purpose of creating, modifying, or repairing something which should include ourself. But I would expect a somewhat transhuman bent if we used it like that.
Most likely we could reduce the XP cost for buying appearance.
