Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[x]Put cyberdevils into the helicopters and have them get lost. Also listen to what the soliders say.

Every day of delay means better fortifications.

We know that the governments of South America are almost completely under the control of the Red Court, so it is obvious to assume that these soldiers were sent as scouts to gather information, being humans sent because they know that Molly would have qualms about killing them, which she wouldn't have if they were regular Reds.

I say we hold a Veil and prepare for an attack, these soldiers are inconsequential.

In addition, I want to see the possible ground-to-air technologies and force shields that we will set up, with the presence of Molly Prime and access to the Creation charm, our defenses should be more deadly since we don't need to hold back like in Chicago.

-[X] Infect each helicopter, along with any additional communication or GPS equipment they are carrying, in order to corrupt their location data. Not only do we not want them to notice any anomalies in this region, we also want them to believe the suspicious area is elsewhere.

Yeah, Molly can afford to talk to the locals after her fortress is set up and they can't do anything terminally stupid, not right now

I am unsure of what to do if they turn out to be magical, and would like help with that. So, half a plan for now. Cyberdevils are for spying only. We don't want them to think there's any anomaly at all. We don't want any noticeably strange things if possible. So, observation only.

So, what do we do if they turn out to be magical? My ideas are something along the lines of trying to subvert them. It's unlikely that any elders were sent, so they should fall under DPE bonus. ATP, then Empathy excellncy and try to talk to them? Offer them a better contract? Trick them into MiS activating?

Ideally we want them to just not notice us at all.

How about this in case they are magical?
[] Activate All Things Betray with Willpower, Hellscry Chakra in emotion-sensing mode if there are creatures of darkness, Empathy excellency, ATP
-[] Fly to the helicopter with the magical being (CoD if one is present), negotiate their surrender

Why mess with GPS? Right now Red Court is not even sure the portal exists, as I understand it. We want to make them think there's nothing here at all. Here, or anywhere else, for that matter. And helicopters might be remotely monitored.

It's a sustained portal to hell/ an Exaltation that may or may not be screwing with the local NN and is tied to this place by a god. Even odds people know that something is going on around here irrespective of the missing god.

If the are remoted monitored using tech then the cyber devils can mess with that as well.
Not if remote monitoring means "observed using satellites in real time". Because if it was me, I would absolutely have birds in the sky watching.

That's true. If nothing else a lord of outer night was killed around here. But we want them to think there's nothing permanent or sustained here.

Also, I have to admit I haven't considered safety through obscurity. That might be more viable than anything else, and give me a couple of moments to come up with a design

They're already co-oping local military assets to search the area. They're sure enough to do that, so it's unlikely they don't have some pretty big clues that something is in the area worth investigating. Whether they find anything or not on this trip, they aren't likely to stop searching quite yet.

Better to subtly throw off their entire search in addition hiding the place for now. It's not practical to expect to hide it forever, or even for very long, but every day we delay its discovery is a day we can prepare for it.

I really hope this doesn't end like all our previous "little" adventures. Aka, with us fighting an army of red vampires for the throne of Brazil. Regardless of whether the throne exists.

Think it's worth deploying some troops in case this is a distraction? I mostly thinking jungle combat spec war weavers, because they have a built in ticket home if they die and are good at a range of tasks.
What do you do?

I'm surprised that our people didn't have something for this already, since fly over style recon should be known to them. Satellites are out of context, but high flying vehicles aren't.

Just to toss an option out there, we could also use weather magic to make it unsafe to fly around here, supposing we can get that set up in time. Hell, it would make a certain kind of sense if that was the standard anti air tactic of FCF fortresses, since controlling the weather is among the most accessible ways for a path magic user to reliably interfere with someone trying to kill them with predator drones.

There are other solutions that make sense in different situations that a high magitech society would have, but given access to weather sorcery and spirit tech that would be a straight broad spectrum solution.

Even if we don't do that now setting up a weather control group to do this sort of thing would be nice for the future.

Being magical and unknowingly working for magical entities aren't the same thing. Especially if there's several steps of removal involved. Remember when Micheal got caught by the red court because they had access to traffic cameras most of a continent away from their power base?

It's almost certain that information acquired by the militaries around here will go to the vampires as quickly as their own leadership, assuming those are different parties in the first place.

Goal is buy at least a few days. Every day make this place more fortificated.
In regards to that, and proposing a new addition / concept to the defense, I went through the craft document again. And, as others have said before, craft system is broken. I will, admit it, again. Here are two relevant elements (effects):
Dangerous Compulsion (3 pt. Form Element)
This Element can only be part of a Fascination.
The Splendor embodies a specific compulsion, such as "Eat the fruit growing on this tree" or "Go to 129 West 81st Street, Apartment 5A, and spit on the door." It inflicts this compulsion on its targets, and those affected will obey so long as it doesn't violate their Nature and isn't "kill yourself." Dangerous Compulsion can induce people into extremely dangerous actions, like running three blocks with their eyes closed or trying to juggle knives provided for them by Art of Conjury.
Memory-Smothering Pall (3 pt. Root Element)
This Element can only be part of a Fascination.
The Splendor embodies the act of forgetting that a particular thing exists, such as "vampires," "laws," "the fact that Clark Kent is Superman," or "pain." It causes anyone it targets to become unable to remember that the specified thing exists. The maximum duration this forgetfulness can last (assuming it doesn't abate because the target fulfilled some condition built into the Splendor) is one day for a 1-2 dot Splendor, one week for a 3-dot Splendor, one month for a 4-dot Splendor, and one year for a 5-dot Splendor.
Neither allow a saving throw, and both are perfect mental effects.

I'll try and make a design.

The question is to answer this:
"What if there was?" you muse. "You said they are in a search pattern, limited by fuel. All it would take is a wizard holding a basic veil and they would pass us right by."

"Assuming all that's up there is regular soldiers using mundane senses yeah,
