Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

[X]Crown Question: Focus: Scene: What dangers am I being cautioned about?

We decided to never be ignorant, and I don't feel like engaging in high stakes social combat when we can bypass it.

I think it's pretty insane to invoke powers like the Crown over minor social issues.

Not worth it, when actually talking to people is just as good in result.

[]Crown Question: Focus: Scene: What Information do the denairans know about Lash and Molly.

[X] Stay silent, follow Harry

Why ask about something that may be nothing, when we we can get information on our main enemies.

This makes alot more sense I'm still confused on why people want to use the crown to ask about the crush thing.

Edit: Nvm I don't want to use up Lash as a focus.

I think the idea is so that Molly does not have to ask Lash point blank. I will admit there is a certain charm in using one of the most potent instrument of divination on the planet to avoid teenage embarrassment. I'm sure one of the primordials is petty enough that they would approve but I am not sure which. Cecelyne maybe? :V

Were there any primordials that wouldn't use their vast cosmic powers to avoid minor discomfort?

Fuck it, if we can make a focus might as well abuse it

Kimberley, the Shopper Who Marched to the Mall.

Now a Neverborn, lost to the deletion of the old White Wolf forums.

Can I ask why people think harry has said no to Molly flat out because he hasn't in this story and shes gotten consistently more positive feedback in her pursuit of him than in the books. There is a reason Lash thinks she has to stake a claim here.

In my mind part of the reason to choose talking to Lash here is to support a habit of communicating between the two of them. It'd be good for them both if we're trying to be friends and allies in the long-term.

Just for fun I'm going to suggest all five core Yozi could approve if viewed in the right light:

Malfeas approves of using OVERWHELMING POWER to beat the answer directly out of the universe instead of having to pay attention to inferiors
Adorjan approves of not needing to hear anyone talk, she hates it when people talk to her
Cecelyne approves of wondrous miracles to gain insight into the desires of others (she's the one who originally invented Verdant Emptiness Endowment)
She Who Lives In Our Wordcount approves of dispassionate, impersonal divination to know everything about a situation
The Ebon Dragon always approves of misusing your power.

Lash to read Molly's Reaction: Lash vs Molly

*Look at number of success on both sides*

Harry saw nothing, I presume? :V

Dresden has very valid reasons for not wanting that kind of relationship with Molly.

Except the quote you have is asking why some think he said he actually didn't want it, which, I agree, did he clearly say no without any ambiguity at any point?

Not entirely sure if he if actually said the word out loud but that doesn't change the validity of my statement besides.

[X] Quietly ask Lash what she means

We use the crown as a crutch too much. Its bad policy. If there are issues here they should be handled by interpersonal communication like two consenting adults, not one gribbly with the ability to briefly fake omniscience. Plus there is a good chance that Lash is trying to construct future crown blindspots to exploit. She is a good girl but that doesn't make her a good girl.

Human beings talk to one another, dammit. Handle things like a human is supposed to, not like Nyalathotep.
