Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

Now that's one hell of a hunter right there.

Any chance we can Soulgaze this woman? I kinda wanted to see what she's about.

You do not have the sight so you cannot soulgaze, but from what Hellscry tells you she is entirely willing to die for the cause though she will do her damnedest not to so she can keep killing vampires. She really, really hates vampires (and thinks you are one). Also she has some expectation that whatever she is taking out of her purse can help against a 'vampire' of your apparent power.

[X] Tell them to back off, discourtesy is one thing, but they do not want to see how you would take to being shot (Charisma+Intimidation)
Stunt: Okay four things. One I just feel like that . Two I'm human so don't call me a leech again.Three going around threatening people with violence in public places is a horrendously bad idea. Four I'm here for The Elder leech as you call her so leave me be.

[X] Explain that you are not one of the Red Court, but an enemy of theirs, allow yourself to be tested by whatever holy things they may possess (Charisma+Etiquette; will open you up to further questioning)
-[X] Stunt: You deliberately take on the air of an affronted American teenager, the better to differentiate yourself from the disguised monster they are expecting, and do nothing to disguise your mid-western accent. "Because you can feel 'the dark coming off of me in waves' is why I don't have time for this, ma'am. You and your fellows," you include just a hint of emphasis on the word for effect, "aren't the only hunters with a bat in their sights. Delaying me here, or worse, attracting the attention of what passes for authorities in this place, just gives my prey a chance to escape their fate. Now please, splash me with some holy water or whatever you need to convince yourself I'm not a leech and let me go about my business."

I like it.

I'm not sure giving the game away is a good idea. We didn't tell them for a reason, and there's still time to screw this up. We have no way to be sure these guys are universally trustworthy or that everyone they may report to will be.

A phone call could be enough to sink this whole operation.

Just a point - MiS should trigger if she follows our command
That was early edition weirdness. We have a ruling that both parties have to accept the boss-minion relationship for it to activate.

Spouting commands at people to proceed with what they're already doing doesn't cut it, they need to be deliberately following our orders.

They are in fact infiltrated by Red Court minions.

So there are non-trivial odds of it leaking.

[X] Explain you aren't a one of the red court
-[X] Attempt to convince them that you aren't something that feeds on mortals and today you're just making use of the airport, not going after the people in it.
-[X] [Stunt]: Snorting, Molly all but rolls her eyes " You should get your eyes checked. Dark I may be, but a leech I most certainly am not. A catfish, maybe a heron depending on your metaphor, but not one of those squirming little creatures."
—[X] Taking a more serious tone, she continues "Out of sincerely held respect for your organization I will allow you to test my nature with items of whatever faith you follow, but you of all people should know that choice makes monsters of men before nature does. I have no taste for and even less interest in ending mortal lives"

Play up the offense, don't get into anything too hard to believe, and avoid mentioning our business.

I'm talking about this part here:
I know you were.

She's prepping to do that to open up combat, you're ordering her to do something she's already planning on.

Even past that it still has to be a deliberate act taken on as our servant. If Molly buys lunch at McDonalds MiS doesn't hit the person taking her order and any of the kitchen staff involved in making it even though they literally took her order. When we were working for Odin asking a fey to pass us a wrench wouldn't have applied it to them either. In both cases the other people involved would be working for someone else.

To apply MiS we need them to accept a role as our servant, and to take orders because we gave them even if they have other motives for keeping the job.

Or that's my understanding of how it works anyway.

This is accurate, for Mercy in Servitude to proc the servant has to do what the infernal wills, the infernal cannot simply tell them to keep doing something they are already in the process of doing. So you cannot just point at a vampire walking towards you, say keep walking and they are under MiS until they stop. They have to be standing still and then walk as Molly bids.

This woman is hardcore. If Molly were truly a Lord of Outer Night, regardless of whether or not Molly chose to back off for fear of getting outed, this woman would still be murdered for the temerity of, well, trying to order a Lord of Outer Night. Good thing Molly's on the side of angels here.

I'd be surprised the Fellowship found Molly so quickly, but when someone with her aura of power and zero dots in Stealth moves around it was inevitable that someone would notice.

Well they are creatures of darkness so social will be easier than it normally would be. Poor fellowship instinctively feeling submissive towards us.

Why are they even talking to us? Surprised that they didn't open with gunfire considering that they haven't even made an demands of us.
