[X] Normally, order a root beer
OOC: I know you guys probably will not take it, but if you directly call Mac an angel that is going to be a hell of a bomb to throw in the middle of the room full of minor talents.
[X] Hint at what you noticed (Charisma+ Subterfuge)
-[X} Subterfuge excellency
Pretty sure Angels have about ten times our "oh, shit" Factor. He's trying to be neutral, people knowing he's an angel means people trying to persuade him to help.
Molly not being normal isn't the same as people assuming Mac isn't. Outing him in front of his customer base isn't a nice way to introduce ourselves. Can we at least use the subterfuge option?
It's very much not dropping a bomb, especially if we use an excellency, even more if we use willpower to make sure not to fail.
Normal has been out the window the moment we approached.
Thanks, corrected.
Would probably be enchantment 1.Air is moving normally, not that, not a glamor he's not that kind of person, electromagnetism would make your hair fuzz a little, not that either, not fire-based or it would interact in some way with all the flame channeling enchantments Harry has with him, if only a flash out of the corner of the eye, entropy would hurt the beer, space warping would harm the symmetry of the room, temporal warping would... be insane and also cause headaches and nausea to seers and diviners.
You're not wrong, but this is our first meeting and we aren't exactly strongly linked to his circle as far as we know. He likes Harry enough to take an introduction from him positively, but they're not close in any real sense. We are broadly speaking allied with angelic host at the moment. Mac is clearly here in disguise. The disguise has a flaw. The flaw can be easily corrected - just add something that would imitate the side-effects of one of Molly's discarded hypotheses:
Would probably be enchantment 1.
So, the responsible thing to do would be to tell him about the flaw in his disguise so he can correct it.
^^^Introducing ourselves by tossing a hand grenade into his life is still a dick move.

My dude, you are making a lot of assumptions here.We are broadly speaking allied with angelic host at the moment. Mac is clearly here in disguise. The disguise has a flaw. The flaw can be easily corrected - just add something that would imitate the side-effects of one of Molly's discarded hypotheses:
Would probably be enchantment 1.

The Outsider Sharkface explicitly calls him Watcher in Cold Days.[X] Normally, order a root beer
Listen, I would strongly recommend not hinting at jack shit when we are in mixed company. Some of the individuals here are probably older than Jesus, literally, and I don't think we want competing rolls to get our point across without any one of them noticing. Let the angel have his secrets and we'll have a longer talk with him later. There may be a flaw but he can fix it tomorrow.
He might be a Grigori... one of the half-fallen. One of the well intentioned ones who skirted the lines in the name of the betterment of humanity and unintentionally fucked things up about as much as they helped. Who knows.
When Murphy asked him what he was later in Cold Days, his reply was "Im Out".Cold Days c22 said:"Harry," said a strange voice. Or rather, it wasn't strange—it was just strange to actually hear it. Mac isn't much of a talker. "Don't chat. Kill it."
Mac's words seemed to do what none of my nonsense had—they made Sharkface pissed off. It whirled toward Mac, dozens of sackcloth strips flicking out in every direction, grabbing whatever objects were there, and its alien voice came out in a harsh rasp. "You!" Sharkface snarled. "You have no place in this, watcher. Do you think this gesture has meaning? It is every bit as empty as you. You chose your road long ago. Have the grace to lie down and die beside it."
I think my jaw might have hung a little loosely for a second. "Uh. Mac?"
"Kill it," Mac repeated, his voice harder. "It's only the first."
"Yes," Sharkface said, tilting its head almost to the perpendicular. "Kill it. And more will come. Destroy me and they will know. Leave me and they will know. Your breaths are numbered, wizard."
