I don't know why uju32 decided that we can't call him and decide where and when have our meeting.I thought we just starting with phone calling Odin. Has something suggested otherwise?

Nope. I quote:I thought we just starting with phone calling Odin. Has something suggested otherwise?
This is a bad idea at this point in time.Father of Hosts: It's not often someone gets a business card from Odin, or maybe it is, you are no expert on Norse Gods turned private military contractors, go talk to him and see what he wants and what he has to offer
1)He didnt ask us for a meeting. Gard gave us his business card to call on him at our leisure.1) He asked us for a meeting and became our problem long before Lara Raith or the White King.
2) He doesn't. But I think that he didn't hang on the yew for nothing and we can ask him for a price.
3) I interpret his relationship with Mab like the Plantagenets' one with the French crown (a vassal for one of his titles, an independent soverign for the others). I believe he owes us for helping with his mess with the fallen valkyrie, he at least can offer some insight in her aims. And I don't see any action that will help us to deal with Mab in your plan.
4) Let's ask the PMC contractor about abilities of his people, ok? Besides, maybe, he will offer us some information about our enemy.
5) I quoted QM's post on the matter. And on the time scale he became our problem long before the others, except Mab.
In Changes, Odin crushed Dresden with his willpower alone as a demonstration of power levels and the hazards of walking into the heart of someone else's Power. He invited us, so I don't expect any aggressive action. About escort: if Gard agrees to be our guide, we will have escort, if not - jokes on him: plan RVD and Oslo public transportaion is a go!
This isn't how it would look to Olivia IC. I am concerned that, thinking we reneged on our promise, she'll look for alternative means of training.2)November and December would be two AP worth of training.
If we use the second AP we get in December on Cauldron stuff, that becomes 3AP.
If we use every extra AP(we get +1AP in Nov, and +2AP in December) on this, that becomes 5 AP.
We can afford to drop it at need for this month. I dont want to, but we could.
Odin is famous for giving his eye and hanging himself for arcane knowledge. I would put more money on him knowing what we are than Mab, who might think she knows, but is very likely wrong about a lot of stuff. And its doubtful he knows our Exaltation if freaking Kakuri who tried to wield it as a weapon know nothing about it.
Arranging training for her shouldn't take any more effort than making a few phone calls, or maybe just a single call to Thomas and asking for him to take care of it.This isn't how it would look to Olivia IC. If we are doing magical training, that would require a lot more involvement. Our ghouls can probably train her in stealth, and we could probably arrange a Melee tutor (even if we can do it better), but an occult tutor would be almost impossible to find.Arranging training for her shouldn't take any more effort than making a few phone calls, or maybe just a single call to Thomas and asking for him to take care of it.

OOC that's a lot of AP. IC that sounds like "promises, promises, promises", and she has no way to comprehend how good an exalted magic teacher can be.
Besides, if I am right, there's a chance we'll get her as a circle mate. I would rather overspend here, then underspend.
Plus, the action is about the whole circle, not just Olivia. I want them im a much better place then they are now in regards to training.

Lydia is right there, with her library resources. If we are doing magical training, that would require a lot more involvement. And the option is not limited to Olivia.
In August, actually. More than a month ago.2)IC we literally just joined Cauldron *snerk* in September. Its only been a couple weeks.
I think you might be allowing Exalted timespans to give you a false impression of how long normal people take to do stuff.
Or what they expect.
And Emma-O, who is older than fae courts, has access to older knowledge and is more aligned with jt arcanely, had it for longer still, and still has no idea what it is. Yes, Mab is, arguably, closer to a human being that might qualify for an exaltation, but I doubt it helped much.Mab otoh has literally had possession of the thing for centuries
Olivia, itself, doesn't need theory (only). She needs to get better at controlling her gift.Lydia is right there, with her library resources.
And as Anna Ash demonstrated when we mentioned the Jade Court, we are probably underestimating local Occult knowledge.
Not like they need more than Occult 1-2 for day to day life.
Why would Olivia need magical training? Sure, her very limited but surprisingly powerful ability might one day be trained to do more than create a personal veil, but that's not a short-term endeavor and she wants results more quickly than that.If we are doing magical training, that would require a lot more involvement. I too want a supernaturally stealthy ninja. Olivia, however, doesn't have control over her ability. Part of her training would require such for certain. Why would Olivia need magical training? Short-term training for Olivia should involve self-defense, firearm handling, stealth, infiltration, etc., i.e. skills that can be taught by muggles who we pay for their time.
Hell, give the girl a gun and a knife to use while invisible (and the confidence and training to use them well) and she becomes quite deadly to even a lot of supernatural creatures due to the effectiveness of her veil.
That could be a confidence issue as much as one of training. If we fund an extended training montage for her to boost her confidence, it could have a positive impact on her veil control as well.I too want a supernaturally stealthy ninja. Given the fact that I do consider prepping for Mab more important than just meeting Odin (though I do consider meeting Odin as prepping for Mab), I would urge all those that voted for me or Yog to chose one or the other, at this point preferably Yog since he's already winning, to make sure we actually prepare for the meeting that everyone wanted to prepare for since several arcs.
I wouldn't be remiss on people voting for me, but I don't want Uju to win due to vote splitting only, because it is the only reason he's that close to it, most of us agree on preparing for Mab, so, once again, vote for Yog, Odin can wait longer, he did only gives us a card, even if I am beginning to think it's been too long, we at least have an excuse right now.
