Green Flame Rising (Exalted vs Dresden Files)

If we bring Michael, if he is not Sent, he goes as a man with a sword, not as a Knight of the Cross.

I don't like the idea of bringing that against ancient monsters.
What? Michael can use the sword outside of his express calling - in canon his first appearance is using the sword against a ghost with Dresden. In this quest he was proposing to bring to Wicked City, again, without it being a calling from White God. He's allowed to exercise Free Will. That's rather the point, really.

[X] Molly, Tiffany, and Lydia.

I see no reason not to bring our full forces with us. Bob is smart, and I don't want to let him go.

Action economy? I thought the whole reason why it was Sophia doing it in the first place was for Molly to be free to do something else?
Here is the plan vote. This action is in the section under Molly Prime, one kf the six budgeted main actions for the month. However, because it had an [SGI] tag I failed to remove when copying it from the list of available actions, a lot of people mistook it for a clone action, which is why it is being done as a clone action. That was my mistake. However, it still leaves Molly Prime with a free action slot.

There are potentially other things we could do with that accidental spare Molly action... but not meeting the mark on this could also cost us actions dealing with it later, so:

[X] Molly, Tiffany, and Lydia.

Obviously he can still use the sword the person that you are responding to even says as much, but I assume that that when god actually sends Dad on a mission he gets things like better Heaven weaving (just like Olivia gets hell weaving when sent on a mission by Molly) and possibly other fortune and fate bonuses.

Really if you write up Dads character sheet it would likely only really tell half the story considering how many circumstantial backing bonuses he might get.

Arc 15 Interlude 9: A Sure Thing New
A Sure Thing

12th of March 2007 A.D.

The girl who wrote in the numbers that rainy day in March, most March days in Chicago were rainy was named Molly Carpenter, so was the other girl on the phone with her and the other who called to ask what was that about a trigonometry homework she had to get to Alec, but she also thought of herself as Pursuer of Diligent Scholarship student, friend and lifeline to the mortal world of an existence that had in recent days grown more and more remote. So it wasn't in the least extraordinary that she was walking along with a friend in home from school, Black Rider was busy. What was surprising is how Izzy reacted to the card covered in little red numbers.

"You shouldn't play those, they're a scam. Mum sat me down once about that and it's crazy how low the odds are, they make taking out a loan to go to Vegas look like good financial planning."

"Not like a single ticket costs much," Molly, a kind of Molly at least, shrugged.

"That's how they get you, low individual buy in, but it's still a scam so good the government wants a monopoly on it..."

Pods paused and looked back at her friend, she sounded a little off, which for Izzy was a lot off. When something upset her he was usually very clear on what. "This isn't just about the lottery." A statement, not a question at all.

They had walked another three streets before the other girl spoke again. "Weird family drama."

Pods didn't say anything, curious but not wanting to push. She also didn't offer up another subject like she wanted to avoid this, in case Izzy wanted to talk to someone about this.

So it seemed she did: "My dad had a thing with gambling... you know he couldn't stop and crap, only he did eventually, talked to a shrink and everything. Now Mom has this idea in her head that it's genetic so I know all the reasons why it's bad to gamble front to back and side to side."

Another pause, though briefer settled beside them, all quiet save for the patter of the rain. There weren't many people choosing to walk rather than drive in this and the few who did were actually going places rather than meandering as they talked. How strange that being born of a lack of a time she now found herself with all the time in the world. Finally she confessed: "I'm not gambling, I know what I'm gonna get," she twirled one hand upwards in a spiral mimicking the flight she had shown her friends last fall.

"No way!" she gave a hushed exclamation. "You mean you're just gonna... isn't that like illegal?"

"Ain't no rule that says a dog isn't allowed to play basketball and no law that you can't use fortunetelling to win the lottery," Pursuer of Diligent Scholarship explained, setting the other girl giggling.

OOC: A bit of a short interlude, we haven't seen much of Izzy recently, but thanks to your other selves Molly has kept the friendship going.

Man, if I won a lottery that large, I would be taking bids for the construction of a hollowed out doomsday mountain lair by the end of the week.

We need to have an Indiana Jones movie marathon for Lydia before engaging in any tomb raiding.
