I run lower power and lean very hard into realism. So, training Tiger Warriors, I put a cap on how many can be trained like a normal boot camp. Like 20 guys to a bunk and under a drill sergeant, same as anyone has ever seen in any war movie. I was lenient and allowed for structures and assistants to swell that process - despite the lessening of direct contact with you and therefore the charms

I feel like saying "this magical super power is only so good as modern day training" kind of defeats the point of a magical superpower? Like yeah we can only do 20 at a time, but we also can't block mountains or kill gods

Just like a classroom, I can't let one person ruin it for everyone else. There was a sigh of relief when you left and you probably should learn that you need to respect an ST's calls if you want to have a game that lasts any length of time. Way way too many flash in the pan cloudcuckoolander games out there.

Fortunately, there is a place for people who don't want that oversight or guidance telling them what is acceptable. Play by post forum games - the ultimate in talking past one another.

I teach English as a second language to Chinese students from 3-10 years old. I'm also a GM with multiple games under my belt, some of which ran for a year or more. Allow me to share some of my experience with a fellow traveller; the game isn't about you. If your players aren't having fun and are getting chased out of the game because of your actions and attitude, then you have fucked up somewhere.

In the classroom, I adapt my teaching style to best educate my students depending on their personalities and learning abilities. Around a gaming table, I adapt my plans and approach on the fly to best suit what my players are looking for in a game.

I've never had a player feel like I was being an asshole who micromanaged them like the actual small children that I teach.

Am one of his players, can confirm.

I..haven't seen that much raw talking down in a quite some time. Playing tabletop games isn't quite like teaching. The GM/ST is more a referee than anything else. It's all about coming together as a group and having fun with each other. Each person should have a chance to shine and enjoy engaging in the game the way they want to. Not overshadow the rest, but still, having moments where they shine, and letting the others have moments when they shine. The GM/ST shouldn't be some overbearing authority figure, but someone who helps the group work together and enjoy themselves.

My Zenith, teaching criminal a magical life lesson of what happen when you try to rob a sorcerer i.e You get turn into a pig and some old man slice you up to make you into a pork dish.

It's not cannibalism since they are pig now.

What. There's a magic spell to turn people into pigs?

As one of his players I can confirm he should get the House of Bells game going despite being in a completely different time zone and let me play Norse Bishie Dragon-Blood Exchange Student.

Alert: HELLO, FELLOW KIDS
hello, fellow kids
If he speaks in real life like here....

It must be like umbridge.
Debate about Touch of Sepia's personality or teaching technique is not the thread topic. So everyone can drop it. Further derailing onto the topic will be looked at closely for Rule 4 violation as a derail.

This is objectively the best Exalted character. You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

Well, I am a teacher Greg.

This level of condescension is unacceptable, especially in a thread with a nice big banner saying 'You will be civil and polite'. 25 points and 3 days out, and given your history in this thread, any further troubles will see much longer ones.
