Anybody here played the independ RPG maker game that is called The Last Sovereign? It is a NSFW game about a guy that gets power from an Exaltation a shard that is implanted in to him and decides to use that power for good not just by using his great combat abilities but also using economical and political manuavering to effect nations in order to defeat Abbysal Exalted The Demon King Incubus King.

In his journeys he is accompanied by his plucky sidekick succubus Yarra that builds him a Harem that can support his ambitions which includes mercaneries, priests, soldiers, mages, and other succubuses. And yes Game is self aware enough to make the most hilarious jokes about this.

Franky this is the greatest Exalted game I have seen in a PC and it is made with RPGMaker. You guys should check it out.

New idea, Exalted Fist of the North Star!

Omae Wa Mou Shindeiru...

(this is a joke, plz don't hurt me)

I mean if your DM is Jon Chung that is the game already :). On a more serious note thank you to all the DMs who acknowledge exalted isn't just about I hit him with my ±5 daiklaive.
Jon Chung didn't create Paranoia combat, he just codified what was already there. He also didn't do so cause he loves it, he did it it so others could easily see the problem.=>_<=

I know you're probably mostly joking/memeing, but I feel like Chung gets a lot of flak over something he was honestly trying to fix.

Do you blame your doctor every time you get sick?
How about your mechanic when your car breaks down (if you have car).

If not, why blame Mr Chung for diagnoising the problem that was there all along. Unless you think hes a night cast that snuck into the offices as the second edition was printed and changed the wording. Or an Ink Monkey who wrote some of the broken shit

Chung did make a lot of people aware of these mechanical issues in a way that seemed to be advocating for them. There's a reason why his name was synonymous with the worst kind of powergamer.

The Exalted White Elephant is on again.

The EIGHTH Annual Exalted White Elephant - Onyx Path Forums

So I guess I'll be appealing my ban over on the OP forums. I'm not sure exactly how to do that, though: the rules don't seem to say anything about it. And I can't be sure I'll be accepted.

Can anyone tell me the appeal process over there?

And can someone with an active account communicate my interest to Noodle? The deadline's soon, so odds are good that even a successful appeal wouldn't be fast enough.

Anyway, if you like homebrew, I strongly encourage to participate.

I've posted a new topic in Trouble Tickets asking about the appeal process and have sent a message to Noodle saying that you are interested but unsure if your appeal process will be finished before the December 6th deadline.

No, I didn't play it. Though it's on my radar ever since I found a Russian (native speaker here) fanfic where a SI is reborn as the second "Chosen" shmuck. Having cleared the primary hurdle of his origin story, he'd joined the MC in his quest for the head of the Incubus King.

Um.... Guys? A demon write up I made:

Agyu, the blazing eyes of hell

Within hell, dancing lights are seen, floating and bobbing on unseen tides and waves. That is the Agyu. Spheres of Malfean crystal, with flickering green flames within them, glowing with a green light. A single symbol is on them, and the Agyu points these at things they examine, like the pupil of an eye, its flickering inner flame casting strange shadows. They are mostly harmless, flitting about Malfeas's layers in great swarms, avoiding the predators and acids of kimberry, escaping the darkness of the Ebon Dragon. But of course, all in Malfeas earn their keep. And the Agyu earn theirs, by being weapons.

The Agyu were made by an ancient warlord of Hell. Seeing that his demons lacked firepower, he devised the Agyu to act as installable weapons powered by an imitation of Ligier's power. The Agyu can meld themselves into a demons' flesh, their bodies warping into elsewhere so only their runic pupil sticks out from the surface of the demons' body. Only one Agyu can share a host at a time. Any more, and the host begins to suffer from burns, similar to green sun wasting, as the power of the Agyu seeps into them.

Each Agyu contains a great inferno, a pale imitation of the power of the Green Sun. And though relatively weak, it is still a force to be reckoned with. They can release this power in great exhalations, blasting apart fortress walls in a blast of green light, or destroying armies by releasing predatory gouts of green flame, that seek out the closest living thing to set alight and are immune to water. A sorcerer using an Agyu and backed by other spells can singlehandedly take on entire armies. So, too, has the Agyu gained notoriety when used by Yozi cults.

Of course, such power comes at a price. The Agyu can only swivel by a minimal amount when bonded, and so the host must aim for them. And the power of the Agyu is such that it must be expended each day, or else the essence build-up will injure the host.*

*Each day, the host rolls Stamina + Resistance against difficulty 1. Failure leads to a single lethal health level of damage. Each day, the difficulty increases, as does the damage. Until the host either dies, or the Agyu is fired. Then the difficulty and damage is reset.

So pigeons were beloved until fairly recently in history. They provided food and fertilizer, carried messages, and were beloved by higher class women. How are they treated in Creation? Does the realm have flocks of Dragon-blood bred pigeons with special qualities? Do they have elegant pets which double as a means of carrying secret messages?

I'd imagines that pigeons would be considered to be animal exemplars of a fusion of Earth and Air. Not only are they called rock doves, but their sensitivity to the Earth's magnetic field which makes them such great navigators would be explained by awareness of the Pole of Earth in Creation. Being near the Pole of Earth is supposed to be good for farming so there's the guano link. The Air nature would be exemplified by their being not only birds, but one of the most intelligent birds.

What do you think?

Seems more like a patrician clan's operation. They were the ones who were breeding exotic animals in the Blessed Isle book.

Not that a Dragon-Blooded couldn't, but it's more the area of hobbies and interests than something I see a lot of them taking seriously.

It would almost be more interesting if by and large people still had lingering views or folklore that cast them as pest, as cultural remnants of the First Age and the Shogunate, when there would have been a high level of urbanization.
Mmm, MAYBE in Chaiscuro, Paragon and portions of the Blessed Isle. The rest simply don't have the pop density at all for such a concept to be more thsn local.

Really anything they do would be eclipsed by corvids first.
Birds that steal wire(like, I've literally seen a crow flying off with a wire hanger and someone's panties once, which wound up hanging in a tree once the bird was done with its arcane purposes) and shiny objects are going to be a Problem in places where you have hearthstones and very shiny amulets.

Not really, no. It's been 700 years. Any dislike of pigeons is going to be far more likely based on farmers hating crop-eating birds, which they do do if they can.

They only became a nuisance with high urbanization. Most of Creation isn'5

Quite right. I thought it would be useful to remind us post-urbanization types that pigeons weren't always considered pests.

@Lioness I don't think I have any of the Realm setting books so that's interesting information. I definitely think some Dragon-blooded would be into it because roughly 1/5 have Survival as an Aspect ability and pigeons were so central to old-time communications.

Really, pigeons existing in a previous Age is a good excuse to have all of the fancy pigeon breeds as decently available.

*shrug* True enough. I suppose that once I've overcome the initial hurdle of one particular species of bird still existing after the Great Contagion, my suspension of disbelief is warmed up and more flexible.
