I won't beat around the bush, I'm asking if Mushu from Mulan, I.E. a minor Terrestrial god in the form of a tiny dragon acting as the guardian spirit of some mortal clan, is possible, or if a being that small and weak taking a draconic form will be considered an insult to the Elemental Dragons and be forbidden.

Consider god that lost most of it's power and "shrunk" to tiny size. For example, patron of warrior clan/Realm' patrician family, martial art shool that was murdered by rivals or otherwise destroyed. Said spirit was just starved for prayers after his shrine was burned and could manifest only as a small creature, but still resembling his more proud, draconic form.

Has anyone wondered if it would be appopriate if an elemental could do elemental infusion? As a native power?

So, you remember how pretty much exactly a year ago over I had a bit of leave and so I finished up Oramus?

I had some leave last week. So here's another Yozi Charmset, modelled after the way @Revlid does things (and my previous Oramus), and specifically my notes earlier in the thread about "How I'd do Szoreny". Similar scale, similar charm and wordcount.

Szoreny, the Silver Forest Charmset

Ability focus - Athletics, Larceny, Socialise, Dodge, Performance

Night primary, Eclipse secondary

Thematics and aesthetics: Vanity, demagoguery, performance-enhancing drugs, Bane, "but her emails", multi-verse theory, mercury both as a transformative agent and also as a poisonous heavy metal

---

Once again, this is still a draft and there's a changelog where I'll record feedback and improvements. As it's a google doc, it's a living document and I'm sure you'll tell me if I've missed any ramifications or nasty interactions or any of my ideas were just plain bad. Hell, I'm expecting it.

(We now have enough fan Yozis that there's basically an alt-Reclamation between me and @Revlid; Isidoros, Elloge, Szoreny, Oramus and Metagaos. But who gets which caste?)
Squirming Roots Mimicry has a cost of 2-10 motes but then doesn't specify how the cost is determined. And you're missing his Torment. Quite a compelling charmset, the geography charm in particular I love, though does it still terminate when the original mirror is broken if used as the upgraded version?

With all the custom charmsets about, I've wondered what an Adrian (pre-fetich death Adorjan) set would look like. My first impression is glass cannon that likes to be shattered. Huge damage output, little or no defense boosters, bonuses to damage based on how wounded they are. Doesn't stop being a blender until she's put down completely. Honestly kind of similar to Adorjan, but with more elemental-themed damage, since Adrian is fire, ice and razors instead of wind.

Socially, it all hinges on attachment. Instead of Adorjan's fleeting whims and abandonment, a Torment caste Infernal might declare a certain intimacy to be their Attachment, and receive bonuses and penalties based on the strength of said intimacy and how relevant it is to the situation. For example, a 3-dot intimacy of jealousy over someone's riches could apply a 3-dice bonus to any action oriented towards stealing from them, but a 3-dice malus on anything else. This would incentivize finding a very relevant subject and focusing on it to the exclusion of all other activities. Maybe some way of shifting Attachments as well, though maybe only after the current one has been satisfied or rendered null, or by spending a large amount of Willpower.
That's a bit similar to my own personal musings on it; I posited Adrian as being about grudges and obsession, but also being able to psychoanalyze others' fixations and wipe them away (to replace with your own, which are explicitly immune to any such Charms you possess). His charmset would be built around making you into a sort of Captain Ahab figure - clearly obsessed and deranged ("I'd strike the sun if it insulted me!"), but somehow able to draw people into your orbit and turn them into weapons against your chosen nemesis*.

* Probably including the ideas of blasphemy and transgression from Moby Dick itself, where Ahab conducts his own version of the Eucharist with the three harpooners to symbolically bind them together under his banner of madness.

Okay, time to address people's comments and make the necessary changes to the document as I go.

The Sharingan charm is also great, though I'm surprised it doesn't come with an upgrade that makes your eyes swirl in a kaleidoscopic whirl and lets you draw characters in your mirror world (as an opposed Socialise vs Awareness roll) if they look into them.

Outside of scope for that theme, I'm afraid. However, if you want that, you might want to look at Invidious Forest Shintai.

What are the precise limits of Prime Element Wonder? How does it interact with Mercurial Sap Embrace? That charm

Since a partial infusion of Quicksilver makes one's blood a poison, should turning your blood completely to quicksilver enhance it further? Perhaps it becomes two doses of quicksilver sap per health level ingested, or perhaps you don't need to lose a health level to extract the first dose?

That's really outside of scope for the Charm. People are already being poisoned by your blood, so there's no need to spend wordcount on it. The "mercury blood" is mostly an aesthetic thing, because it means all the pink bits of your body go grey.

Is it intended to be Essence 7+ to permakill Dragon Kings for Soul Eating Mirror, or was it Enlightenment 7+ that didn't get converted to Essence?

Following the precedence set by Malfeas for what you need to do that effect - Essence 7. I write my Yozi Charmsets to be largely RAW compatible, and so they don't use Enlightenment.

@EarthScorpion , great new charmset. I was wondering if soething like this was coming when I saw that Lilun had a new soul in her document. It's a bit different from the Twilight/Night that I though you might be going for based on some things you had said about Szoreny earlier, but it still has the Craft/Medine alchemy you talked about. The heart sap poisoning is similar to the Hegra treatment you talked about a while back. Treating heavy metal poisoning as a Crippling effect instead of a Poison effect was a great decision, and helps to differentiate Szoreny from Kimbery. It's interesting that all of Szoreny's Training and healing charms permanently maim mortals unless the exalt either spends considerable resources on curing them or xp on other charms to heal Crippling effects. It's a good toxic person metaphor.

One of the things Szoreny is specifically set up to do is the travelling salesman, selling magical cures and gifts that everyone in the town buys and then the side effects kick in. He's also the court alchemist who poisons the king and leaves him dependent on his cures. Just look at the mechanics here - the alchemy charm can also make a drug that removes the Penalty from quicksilver sap for a month. What does that mean? It means that once the Infernal has poisoned you with his magic drugs, you're reliant on him for the drugs to suppress that.

In fact, I'll make that more clear and make it so the "suppressant" doesn't inflict a dose of sap, just so the logic behind "okay, I'll poison them and then use my drugs to make them dependent on me to negate their penalty" is more clear.

Should Enviable Heart have a cost of 0m instead of -, like Ancient and Firstborn?

Yes, it probably should.

Examples of Szorenian Infernals in fiction that I can think of:

Also, Bane. A man driven to destroy the Bat, who poisons himself with drugs that give him inhuman strength, and who's driven to excel at everything.

He's really the big inspiration for how Szoreny does Athletics.

Squirming Roots Mimicry has a cost of 2-10 motes but then doesn't specify how the cost is determined. And you're missing his Torment. Quite a compelling charmset, the geography charm in particular I love, though does it still terminate when the original mirror is broken if used as the upgraded version?

Clarified that Squirming Roots Mimicry costs 2m per dot of Resources that the object costs, plus one willpower.

Yes, Mirror World Evocation still terminates in the upgraded form if the mirror is broken.

Added Szoreny's Torment. It's basically erethism (ie, mercury poisoning - anxiety, indecisiveness, and loss of motor skills).

Technique-Stealing Technique still refers to itself as granting attributes in the third sentence of its second paragraph, and doesn't state the cost for learning charms with it.

@EarthScorpion isn't insensate bark tincture too powerful? 1m for 1ahl seems really op.

Edit: also, how do the Acumulation charms work with charms that make you immune to crippling?

Then how about poison immunity? Would that negate the quicksilver entirely? And would the acumulation charms still be usable?
New Keyword: Accumulation said:
Perhaps the reason Szoreny seeks to become like others is that some glimmer of self-awareness means he knows how his nature sickens him. Charms with the Accumulation keyword inflict a dose of quicksilver heartsap on the user as part of their activation cost.

Charms with the Accumulation keyword may not be used if the Infernal's has more than (Stamina + Resistance) doses of quicksilver heartsap in their system.
SIDEBAR: Quicksilver Sap and Heavy Metal Poisoning said:
Some Szoreny Charms additionally refer to quicksilver heartsap, most notably in the Accumulation keyword. Quicksilver heartsap has the same statline as quicksilver sap, but it has the special property that it is not mechanically a Poison. As a result, even though it uses the poison mechanics, Charms that can cure Poison or prevent it have no effect on it. Quicksilver heartsap is a physical form of Szoreny's self-destructive envy, serving as a cost for his Charms just like mote or willpower expenditures.

I'd recommend for Mercurial Sap Embrace that page references for the rules for Ambidexterity and Dual-jointedness as a small quality of life improvement.

I write my Yozi Charmsets to be largely RAW compatible, and so they don't use Enlightenment.

This is something that I'd noticed, and while it is really nice and helpful for the people who want to stick closer to RAW, it does leave some questions for those who've fully switched over to using your Kerisgame hacks.

Biggest concern I have right now is what to replace Appearance with in most of these charms, since last I checked Appearance isn't an Attribute anymore. Would it just be Persuasion? For some reason that just doesn't feel quite right to me.
