Game of the Year: A Naruto Quest

[X] Kirigakure, the Village Hidden in the Mist, located in the Land of Water.

There are a lot of interesting Bloodline Limits in Kirigakure and/or the Land of Water as a whole: Ice Release, Boil Release, Lava Release, Deadbone Pulse, the Hozuki Bloodline Limit....

I am a little hesitant about entering Kirigakure, as we could end up in the midst of its civil war, but that isn't a guarentee. And with the chance at playing a character with one of its Bloodline Limits is to o good to pass up, in my opinion.

Ironically, with the evidence we've got, Kiri is probably the safest place to be with a bloodline in the Land of Water. The only purge we see happens in a civilian village done by civilians, and if Kiri had that much of a problem with Bloodlines then Mei would never have made Mizukage, no matter how many reforms she rammed in.

Well, except for the Kaguya, but they made the mistake of attacking the village directly, so that's something of a self defense genocide.

I'll re-vote for Kirigakure if it ends up rising to challenge the two titans in the tally.

We'd be fine regardless if we entered a civil war or not, but I really wanna save Yagura >_>

Eh, maybe it can win?

[X] Amegakure, a highly industrialized village made up of short-tempered shinobi. Located near the Land of Fire.

I want swirly eyes! Hanzo would be cool too!

[X] Konoha

Because Ves said I can't have nice things!

And avoiding Konoha because it's too mainstream is better logic?
"We won't die cuz it's a quest!" Is terrible logic.
How? It's perfectly good logic. You're scared of dying early, but we're in a Quest. It's extremely unlikely to die too early.
'Early' is a bit too much. And subjective to some. I'm pointing out Mist is very likely to get us killed. Most dangerous early game probably. Don't assume just because it's a quest doesn't mean we won't get ourselves killed.

[X] Kumogakure, the Village Hidden by the Clouds, located in the Land of Lightning.

It's clearly not gonna win, but I've gotta vote as my heart directs me.

Do recall that the particular functionality of this quest may include Respawns. In one of the original Naruto: Game of the Year Edition stories, which was begun in 2009, Naruto dies repeatedly, but respawns without issue at a Save Point. It's actually a plot point I think, that he eventually advances the story to the point he can't go back and save the Third Hokage. I could be mixing things up though.

Regardless, if the MC does get dead, then we'll probably get some way of dealing with that.

Also, as someone quoted me earlier and accused me of Fanon, I'll explain why I said that Iwa was Cannon Fodder land, which is related to the databooks and the reality of where each Great Village is situated. Now, of the Five Great Nations, the only one that has a 5 in population is Konoha. This is probably because Konoha is the only Ninja Village that's in a natural population locus. Iwa and Kumo are in the mountains, Suna's in the middle of the desert, and Kiri's a freezing raining wet mess. Konoha, by contrast, is located on the fertile plains, with forests NEARBY but not SURROUNDING IT like all the others and their elements. Konoha can have the most people because it has actual FOOD TO SUPPORT THEM.

Iwa has a 4 and Kumo has 3 in population, and both have 4's in Military. Now, as far as elites go, Kumo has more named ones than Iwa. Iwa has its Kages, Jinchurikki, and Deidara who is a Missing Nin and managed to single handedly ruin the Village's infrastructure using a kinjutsu when he defected. Kumo has its Kages, its Jinchurikki, the Kaku Twins back in the day, the Tools of the Sage, and the bearers of the Black Lightning which is not a kinjutsu.

Basically, Kumo has fewer people, but an equal military, so what military it has is per force going to be stronger than Iwa's. Konoha meanwhile, as of the time of the Databooks I'm basing all this on, was on a peace time footing. It still had more A and S Rank affiliates than any of the other nations though.

Plus, there's always the 'Minato killed an entire army of Iwa Nin single handed' thing from the anime if we're including anime stuff.

You must've read my post wrong. I said we're unlikely to die just because it's Kiri. We'll die due to rolls, not starting location.

No need to be an ass about it.

I'm not trying to be an ass. I'm sorry for coming off that way.

I do disagree however. I believe it's more likely to kill us starting in Mist. I'm not against starting there mind you. I'm just against the idea of assuming Mist is just as safe a decision as everywhere else.
