I figured the banana hammock was coming. I did not predict the Armsmaster logo, though. Really needed the laugh today, so thanks for that. Wonder how Battery is going to adjust to being a mom? Or how long Assault is going to be sleeping on the couch.

Excellent chapter. My only complaint is that there aren't another 10k words of it.

"I dun' have one," she said, her voice turning sad. "An' no. I sure do wish I had a human family, though. It looks like fun."

Assault let out a breath. That was an... odd response, but maybe a Case 53? Case 53 honestly made the situation a bit easier. "Okay. Well, I can't leave you out here alone. Why don't you come with me to the PR--"

The girl perked up, ears going skyward. "Really?! You want me to go with you? Yay!"

Before he could protest, the girl latched onto his leg like a barnacle, hugging him. "Please take good care of me, papa! I promise I'll be the best daughter ever!"

"Wait--"

"Are you married, papa? Do I get a new mama too?!"

...Battery was going to murder him, assuming Miss Militia didn't do so first.
Congratulations, Assault! You are now a father of one beautiful baby girl.

Maybe this will give you and Battery an excuse to give her a baby sibling now :D

I wonder if taylor is ever going to learn magic in some form. Maybe Shikigami? Or Onmyodo in general. Shikigami could feed into people's idea that Taylor's powers are derived from her father's as well, since they would also be a master power of a sort, where you make little paper things and they go do stuff.

"Armsmaster!" Miss Militia called out as she jogged towards the pair, at least three different routers and a tangle of cords in her arms. "Disconnect your internet! Now! Don't open any text messages or emails! It's an emergency!"

Dauntless goggled at her. "What are you talking abou--"

"So hey, Bossman," Assault mentioned as he strode up to the now trifecta of heroes. In his arms was a young girl, maybe aged 5 or 6, with a pair of furry ears atop her head and a brown fox tail wagging from under her dress, "I kinda need an M/S alert, and a babysitter, because I'm pretty sure I adopted this girl?"
So many hilarious questions...
Miss Militia: after I destroy the internet I am coming for your ass

And so many hilarious answers!

So long as the fox child (and the two picture takers) isn't related/part of Ninetails, I'm happy to watch the chaos unfold.

And throughout all of this Taylor is a tiny island of calm in the raging hurricane of insanity. Mostly because she refuses to recognize any of it.

Ha! Lung was hilarious in this. I don't particularly like the youkai stuff seeping in, since it sounds like something the Entities would have done something about pre-landing, but I can live with it.
Perhaps. But then again, Sunny probably is undoing everything the Entities can do to stop Yokai from showing up.

As to Yokai triggering.... Yokai are not remotely like biological beings save by choice, and many are already dead. Since the Entities powers are all based in Physics, they have no power over the metaphysical.

In regards to Entities being easily able to find (and presumably neutralize) the supernatural in some form or fashion... They've done oh so well at groking the supernatural so far, haven't they? I mean, look at what happened with Coil. Or how easily Skidmark was shut down. Or how Sunny has casually dealt with every cape that has thought to be a threat to Taylor. Or how well tinkers have handled Sunny. Or how supernatural elements ran rings around the Protectorate all night long on All Hollows Eve. It took a normal (wannabe gang member) teen who just happened to have fliers with odufa created by Sunny's priestess in training drawn onto them to deal with the spider yokai.

Everyone's saying this won't end well, but it is Assault we're talking about.

I can see her doing trickster shenanigans only to have him pull up a rating card afterwards and encourage her, just trying to shift her away form the more dangerous shenanigans by pushing her towards weaponized puns.

"Best human family ever!"

Uh, take a step back in the narrative. Remember how he made a very good impression on the Bachan collectively a while back? How long do you think it will take them to figure out what's going on? And from there, how long do you think it will be until they start "taking steps to remedy the situation" ?

Note they are friends with Taylor, meaning they know the miko and can point out that someone was playing games on neutral territory and thus creating problems for the shrine. If nothing else the threat of a very angry "Good Dog" will probably scare the stuffing out of that kitsune.

Even if they were somehow better Strangers than Imp, the Entities would be able to find them just from the effects they'd have on matter and causality
Even so, remember, these are creatures without imagination nor faith in anything supernatural. They can only see the world in hard facts, precognitive shards don't even factor the Chaos theory.
To them the supernatural is a giant blind spot, because they can't really be quantified by them.
