Yep. I have to go through my watched threads periodically to ensure the system hasn't started ignoring them. From what I've seen/read, that's normal.
I always go to pages from my Watched Threads, but the problem keeps affecting my RPs due to my tech struggles because other players get timed out...!

Didn't know repeated visits were required to keep tags and alerts functioning... This explains much.

To be more exact the system works like this; if the last post in the thread before the one that was just made was read by you you get a message that the thread has had new content posted in it. If the last post was not read by you you get no message about new content.

The exceptions are if you are tagged in a thread through either quotation (like this) or by getting tagged (@armorfiend ,@Ψυχή), or because the OP posted and the reply they made was more than 120 words long.

Omake: Sacred Beast
<omake>

With summer fast approaching, Sunny was shedding a LOT more than usual. Taylor had more than enough brushes so she had the bright idea of making a bracelet out of… wolf… fur? Okay, maybe it wasn't such a great idea, but she'll manage.

She'd gotten the idea after wandering around on the internet led her to a tutorial on how to make wool thread from fur. … Wolf wool.

The idea was getting less appealing by the minute, so Taylor decided to get to work before she could talk herself out of it. She pinched one end of the clump of shed fur and began twisting it into thread.

The fur was cooperative enough that it didn't break, though by the end, Taylor's fingers were sore from twisting all that fluff into a long, strand of thread. For good measure, she folded the thread in half, twisting it tightly again and finally soaked it with red wax to bind the thread together.

Satisfied with her work, she opened the ornate jewelry box containing the beads she collected from various people.

Taking a few from each partition, she strung them together into thirteen charms, each charm containing beads from only one partition, then strung together the charms into a sort of bracelet.

She tried on her work. It was a good fit.

Satisfied, she started on making a dog-sized one for Sunny's paw.

The Sacred Beast Rosary represents the bond between Amaterasu and her Miko, and the bond between the Miko and her followers.

Though made of mundane beads, the faith and trust from the beads' sources power the sacred string tying them together. May it protect the Miko on her long journey.

Will probably take this down when I remember to.
Nice job!
This is one for the Omake List!

Found something interesting while I was wandering around the Yu-Gi-Oh wiki.

This is a wolf named Sunny. :) Name was changed to Skye in the English version.
Probably because the Skye is Sunny. I'm so sorry.

Isn't it a little dull for an omake? It's just Taylor making friendship bracelets for her and Ammy.

So? It's fitting

The wolf grinned its doggy grin, and gave the girl a light headbutt, prodding her towards the camp. But Taylor dug in her heels, and dug through her pockets, instead. The wolf sat down again, and watched until Taylor withdrew a colorful strand of plastic beads and held the trinket out, triumphant. The wolf cocked its head.

"Here, doggy! We made friendship bracelets. An' we're friends now! So, take it!" After a pause, the wolf thumped its tail on the ground, and gently took the bracelet in its teeth. Taylor grinned. The beams of sunlight breaking through the tree canopy brightened.

"Yeah! Friends forever!"

I completely forgot about that scene. Now that I think about it, taylor making a friendship bracelet after completing the bead collection would make for a great callback.

So what is happening when people don't get the latter two things? Because I've had that happen repeatedly to the point that I had to prod 'em in PMs and other threads...
