UHHHHHhhhhh. The last bit of invisitext. I guess Alina might still be relevant after all in times to come.
And thus the downside of memory erasure strikes again. The victim has no idea that there's a problem and no way to handle said problem if it pops up again.
Ah, but here's the question- Was her encounter with the familiar actually how it went in reality, or was it all just a dream she was having in class that was influenced by reality?
Was that last line just her imagination, or has she gone crazy from being under Elsa Maria for so long? Did the witch really try to seduce her mind by quoting Little Shop of Horrors, or was that part of the dream as well?
On a side note I find it a little odd that the teacher was so insensitive. Hundreds of people died yesterday, wouldn't his first thought be that she had lost somebody, not that she was daydreaming?
Japanese education is serious business.
For real, what Twix said. Remember, this is the same education system that stood by and did nothing while Komaki and her gang did everything they could to drive Oriko to suicide. The Shape of Voice wasn't that far off when it comes to showing the complete insensitivity of the Japanese education system. And given that any of the students in class might have also lost parents to the witch, if the teacher cuts her any slack it might be perceived as giving her "preferential treatment" and making her thinks she's "more deserving" of special consideration, yadda-yadda the squeaky wheel gets the grease, you know how Japan is.

The real shocker is that the schools weren't closed for a city-wide day of mourning, not that one teacher isn't showing consideration for one student sleeping in class.

Day 32 Chapter 4
[X] Plan Leave The Urobutcher In Mitakihara

"I don't mean to pry," you say to your project teammates, as the three of you take your usual seat in the library at the table by the window, "But I guess I just-" How should you word your request for the people who don't know that you know? "-want to know, if either of you are alright, after... What happened last night. Did... Did either of you lose anyone important to you in... Whatever that was?"

"No," Mochizumi-san says; not with her usual chipper tone, but neither the somber tone of one in mourning. "Thankfully, my mom, dad, and little brother are all safe." She hangs her head low, scratching at it as she stares at the text on the page of your book. "What... What the heck even was all that last night? First the freaking Statue of Liberty rises outta the river- I mean, I'm flattered that she thinks Mitakihara's as cool a hangout as New York, but really, what the heck was that all about? And then, just as soon as she shows up, she's gone again; like, what gives? I mean, if that'd been all there was to it, I guess I'd have chalked the whole thing up to some prank gone wrong, but then..."

Mochizumi-san almost sounds like Hitomi when she asks "Why's this kinda stuff always gotta happen in Mitakihara? First all those girls are murdered, then a bunch of people just keep going missing, one after another, and now this... All in all, I'd say around... Seven-hundred people have died, just in the past month alone. Mitakihara used to be such a safe place to live, but now..."

Satomi Kaede reaches her hand over, gently patting at Mochizumi-san's backside; though you're sure she'd rather be showing her comfort to you. "I wish there were an answer." She purses her lips, but when she looks to you it's almost as if there's a faint smile on her face instead. "I didn't lose anyone either, fortunately. In fact, it's quite the opposite- Just as school was starting, I got a message from my older sister Touka-san; she said that her friend who had gone missing had returned. But..." Her smile vanishes, and Satomi Kaede's face takes on the same lost expression as that worn by Mochizumi-san. "But why, after so many have gone missing; why did only one of them deserve to come back? I'm glad for my sister to have her friend back, but why was she the only one? Were the others just not good enough?"

"I'm sorry," you say, opening your copy of The Once and Future King to the bookmarked page, as you take your notebook out and prepare for another round of work on your group project. "I wish I could give you an answer."

You have the answer, but telling either of them would put their lives in danger.

"Have either of you given any thought to what Archer spoke to you about the other night?"

You give your friends a few minutes to get settled in around the lunch table before asking your question of Madoka and Sayaka. "If you have, when we're on vacation would be the perfect time to get started." Assuming Archer has been able to procure whatever teaching materials he needs to properly instruct them. "I know you have, Sayaka," you say, directing your gaze to your blue-haired friend, no doubt already deep in contemplation at the idea of becoming 'magic Batman', "But what about you, Madoka? Have you decided whether you'd like to learn magecraft with Sayaka and Hitomi?"

"I don't know, Homura-chan," Madoka responds. Of course you don't mean to think rudely of your girlfriend, but this Madoka in particular has been rather indecisive about a lot of things so far; uncharacteristically so when compared to the Madoka who you remember from older timelines. "I mean, I'm sure it would be fun to learn something new with everyone else, but I... I guess I'm not ready to make that decision just yet."

"Come on, Madoka," Sayaka says, leaning over the lunch table, sticking her face so very close to that of your girlfriend. "It'll be a lot of fun! What's there to worry about? Hitomi's able to do it safely, and come on- It's Mister Archer we're talking about! If he's even half as good at magic - sorry, magecraft - as he is in the kitchen we'll be just fine!"

"It's just... Well, you remember what Archer-san said about my, um, my magic potential." The magical potential of a god. It makes sense to you, why the Incubator would be so insistent on harnessing Madoka's abilities, especially with what Archer said earlier taken into consideration. The ability to rewrite reality to its desires... "I just don't know if it would be safe, I mean, for me to start learning magecraft." Madoka turns to you, adding "Sorry, Homura-chan; I hope you understand."

You smile, but on the inside you're sighing at Madoka's indecisiveness. At least she shows that same reticence about making a contract with the Incubator. For as much about this timeline that's bad, that's one good thing to take solace in. "Of course; I understand," you say, reaching your hand over to lace your fingers together with hers. A bright smile is your reward, setting your heart aflame. "You don't need to feel like you have to make a decision right now. I was just curious to know if you had."

"Well, I for one can't wait to get started!" Ever the exuberant one, Sayaka is right back on it as soon as your quiet moment with Madoka has passed. She looks at Hitomi, unable to hide the excitement as she says "I mean, I know Hitomi likes studying, but the way she talks about magecraft makes it sound like it'll actually be fun to study!" HItomi nods, but with her mouth full and chewing on her lunch she remains silent.

And speaking of Sayaka... "Archer, have you been able to get everything together to get Sayaka and Hitomi started learning about, what did you call them, Formalcraft and Mystic Codes? Do you have everything you need?"

"Unfortunately, I don't,"
your servant replies. You can't fault him; even though he said he'd try to get them study materials, it hasn't even be two days yet, and already so much has happened since then. "I'm still waiting to hear back from the person I asked about whether they've found any good beginner tomes. Incidentally, they were also wondering if you'd be willing to make an exchange; something from her world for you to study, in exchange for something from your world for her to study."

"They want something from this world to study... You've sure picked a rather nosy supplier, haven't you?"

"She's a real one-of-a-kind girl, I'll say that much."

"At any rate, she'll have to wait. I'll have to take stock of everything I know in order to figure out if there's something I can part with that won't put either put her at risk or reveal more than I need her knowing."

"So that's a no on both sides, then, for the moment."
It would appear that way. "In other news, is there anything you need me to take care of for you before you head out today? It's not like we'll be able to get anything done once our train's left the station."

This question too, you'll need to check; but instead of taking stock of your options, it's easy enough to ask your friends. "You've all remembered to get your things together, and taken care of everything you needed to before we leave, right? I spoke with Kure Kirika-" you shoot Sayaka a look, telling her without speaking that you don't need to hear this from her twice in one day "-earlier today, and she says that we'll all be heading out after Madoka and I get out of our clubs. That'll still give you all a little under an hour, taking travel to your homes and to the train station into account, if there's anything else you need to take care of; but it's still better if you've taken care of everything beforehand."

"So, I hope you've all packed everything you'll need; change of clothes, a swimsuit, toothbrush, hair-care or makeup if you feel like you'll need them; and that you've informed your parents and gotten their okay to go." Your eyes make a pass over each of your friends; Madoka, Sayaka, Hitomi. Your eyes follow through and look to Tomoe-san as well, but you know she won't need any parental permission to go. "It wouldn't do to go sneaking out and leaving your parents to worry while you're having fun at the beach."

"I spoke with my parents," Hitomi says, "And while they didn't object to me going, they wanted to know who would be chaperoning us, which was something I couldn't answer for."

"I just told my mom that Mister Archer would be our chaperone," Sayaka says, turning to you as she adds "And she said she was fine with that. He is coming, right? I mean, it'd be a total downer if he didn't. How're we supposed to study all his cool stuff if he doesn't go with us?"

Madoka nods, chiming in with Sayaka's words by saying "I thought Archer-san would be going with us as well, so that's what I told mama and papa. They've met him plenty of times, and they're fine with him; I'm sure your parents will be fine with him as well, Hitomi-chan. They just need a chance to talk with him, and I'm sure they'll be fine with him chaperoning us."

"From the sound of things," you say to your servant, "It sounds like everyone is all set, save for one slight concern from the Shizukis about a chaperone for our trip. Madoka and Sayaka both assumed that you would be going and told their parents accordingly, but Hitomi didn't have an answer for her parents when they asked her."

Something needs to be done about the situation with the Shizukis. But what?

-[X] Tell the Shizukis that Archer will be the chaperone
--[X] Once Archer's done searching for the Incubator (which he's only doing while you're in school), send Archer to Hitomi's house to meet with her parents to allay any concerns, if they want to meet up with him. Have Hitomi contact her parents beforehand and ask them if they want to speak with Archer at all before the trip. If he has a good amount of time before meeting with the Shizukis, such as in the event that he finds one of the Incubator's bodies before the time limit is up, he could cook something up to bring to the Shizukis as a peace offering like how people often give new neighbors gifts of food.
---[X] What sort of questions does Archer foresee the Shizukis asking him?
----[X] What exactly is our daughter going to be doing on this vacation?
----[X] How will you keep our daughter safe, especially after the horrific catastrophe that occurred earlier today?
----[X] Who set up this whole vacation?
---[X] What are his answers to those questions?
----[X] She'll be enjoying a nice relaxing vacation at the Mikuni's beach house with her friends, and you'll be tutoring them on their school projects as a foremost expert on history and mythology
-----[X] Cite gaining your expertise from a group of experts in the field of history and mythology - specifically Arthurian, Greek/Roman, and Norse - in London, England, while you gained your expertise in Japanese mythology in Fuyuki from private tutors when you were growing up and some of it from the local Ryuudou temple monks, if they ask
----[X] The Mikuni family butler is a trained professional in matters of security and both you and the butler are trained in your own forms of combat and self defense if it ever comes to that; both of you are taking the kids' safety very seriously, especially after the events that had recently rocked Mitakihara
----[X] Mikuni Oriko, a friend of your charge Akemi Homura, invited her and her friends to spend time at her beach house and unwind after the stressful events of what's been happening in the city; disappearances, deaths, and now what happened earlier today. Getting away from Mitakihara for a bit to enjoy themselves and relax can only do good for them personally and academically, and it's likely they'll feel much more safe spending the next couple days away from this city due to recent events, at least until the military can sort out just what happened here. You aren't going to let them ignore their studies while they're on this trip, of course.

I think I covered a decent chunk of what they may ask; edited my post :).

Earlier in the thread, I mentioned that according to FGO, Fuyuki was either in the Ōita or Kumamoto prefectures. Astute readers may remember that, as of the end of Day 29, I've officially placed Fuyuki in Ōita according to Archer's dialogue.
My story starts seven years ago, in a sleepy little town in the Ōita Prefecture. My master was a girl named Rin, who summoned me damn near on the last day before the War started, and..."
Both prefectures made good arguments as to why I should place Fuyuki there, but the reason Ōita won out over Kumamoto is because, for whatever reason, the Ōita prefectural symbol is a very Tohsaka-esque Command Seal, and that was too good an opportunity to pass up.

Day 32 Chapter 5
[X] Plan Convincing Hitomi's Parents

"... And so, since everyone else was already convinced that you'd be joining us as a chaperone, that's what I told Hitomi to tell her parents."

"And, they were okay with that?"

"Well, not exactly. They said they wanted to speak with you before letting some stranger watch their daughter for the weekend. With everything else that's happened in this city, I can't say I blame them."

"So what do you want me to do about it?"

"Let them speak with you, obviously. Just head over to their house when school gets out, talk to them for a bit, and get the okay for Hitomi to go with us."

Your master's plan sounded simple enough at the time, but you've got more than enough experience under your belt to know that 'simple' isn't always so. You stopped at the liquor store on the way over to pick up a nice bottle of sake, sort of like a housewarming present but not, in the hopes that going the extra mile will impress them; but there's always the chance that your efforts will fall flat. After all, the only thing you know about the Shizukis is that they're a rather traditional pair; and you mean that in both the good and the bad definitions.

You take one last second to straighten your hair and your shirt, before ringing the doorbell. "Who is it?" you hear a female voice calling from inside the two-story western-style house.

"It's Archer," you respond. "Akemi Homura's guardian. She said you wanted to speak with me before letting your daughter go on her trip later."

No response follows from inside, but seconds after hearing the tumblers unlock, you are greeted to an open door and the sight of a woman who couldn't be anyone other than Hitomi's mother. "Welcome, welcome," she says, beckoning you in. "You know, I've heard so much about you from my daughter and her friends; it's so nice to finally meet you."

"Only good things, I hope." You take your shoes off at the foyer, and hand the bottle of sake over, saying "I hope you and your husband don't mind, but I brought a present."

"Oh not at all," the mother Shizuki says, smiling as she accepts your gift. With a laugh, she adds "I guess with our daughter out of the house for the weekend, I'll have to let my husband know that it'll be a party tonight."

So far, so good. At least the mother seems amicable enough to letting her daughter go; but you've yet to meet the husband. You don't have to wait much longer, as the mother Shizuki leads you into the living room; it's not quite as spacious as the Mikuni living room, but with its open floor plan and spacious windows, it manages to create the illusion of size. Her husband is waiting for you, and as soon as you've entered, his wife takes a seat beside him on the leather couch. There's a chair already pulled up for you, seated across from them on the other side of the coffee table. The husband, with his stern face and eyes like smouldering embers, cuts a much more imposing figure than his gentle-faced wife, and you sit, feeling as though you've already made some kind of gaffe in his eyes. It's definitely the eyes.

"You're certainly an interesting character," the husband says, giving you barely a moment's reprieve after being seated before beginning. "I hear your cooking has caused quite the stir among my daughter and her friends."

"Hunger is the enemy," you say, recalling something that Saber said to you. "Good food is a morale booster, and certainly we could all use some morale boosting after everything that's happened recently."

"Have you had the chance to sample some of Kaname-san's cooking? You know, Miki's girl used to rave about him as well, until you showed up; have you and he ever had the chance to see who's the better chef?"

"Unfortunately not, though Sayaka has been pestering Homura and I nonstop about it."

The Shizuki husband laughs, and he almost sounds like a normal person and not the most terrifying foe you've ever faced. He reaches his hand out, saying "Shizuki Soujuurou," and just like that, his terrifying persona melts away, and the man before you becomes no more than another person, now that you've learned his name. With his other hand, Soujuurou gestures to his wife, adding "And this is my wife, Chihiro." Shizuki Chihiro bows her head in your direction as her name is spoken. "And you are?"

"Emiya Shirou," you reply, taking Soujuurou's hand and giving it a firm shake. "But ever since I took archery back in high school, everyone's always called me "Archer'."

"Ah, a fellow bowman," Soujuurou says with a smile. "Good to know I'm not the only one around here with an appreciation for the craft. Can I assume you're the one who got Akemi into archery as well?" You nod; though something tells you that it wasn't just your influence that guided her towards the bow and arrow. A certain rosewood bow sticks out in your mind as the other source of inspiration. "So, you can cook, and you can do archery; but what else can you tell me about yourself?" And, just like that, the terrifying mask comes right back on. "Why should I let you be the one chaperoning my only daughter?"

Fortunately, you had been expecting for a question like this, and came prepared with what you hope won't just sound like a canned response. "Well for starters, your daughter and her friends are working on a project for their English literature class. I'd like to consider myself well-versed in the classics, and I even spent a few years studying literature, history, and mythology at a prestigious institute in London. Unlike some others might-" you aren't naming names, but you can tell from the look in his eyes that Soujuuro already knows about whom you're speaking "-I don't plan on letting your daughter or her friends neglect their studies just because they're on vacation. They're going to have fun, but that doesn't mean letting them dodge their responsibilities."

Soujuurou nods, saying "Good answer. I know our daughters are diligent enough, but that Miki girl... I'm sure you've already figured out you'll need to keep an eye on her. But what if something goes wrong? Sure, archery and the classics are all well and good, but how are you prepared to handle things if something happens to my daughter or one of her friends?"

"In addition to those, I'm also a fair hand at a few different martial arts." Granted, creating swords out of nothing is a far cry from what the Shizuki patriarch must be thinking. "If anyone tries to harm one of the girls, they won't be getting very far; and, I won't be the only one going with them, either." At this, Soujuurou raises a curious eye; his daughter must not have mentioned another chaperone. Then again, you're only making the assumption that Lancer will be joining her master. "The butler of the one who set this trip up is a trained security professional. Even if, God forbid, something gets past me, it won't get past her."

"My daughter never mentioned there would be another chaperone." You hope, by that look in Soujuurou's eye, you haven't screwed up by vouching for Lancer's ability to safeguard his daughter. "Why don't you tell me a little bit more about this trip; who's the one responsible for setting it up? Why now, as opposed to waiting for the summer break?"

"The one responsible is a friend of Homura's, a girl by the name of Mikuni Oriko. She's the one whose beach house your daughter and her friends will be staying in, and the reason she chose now, rather than the summer break, was to give her friends a chance to get away from everything that's been happening in the city lately; which, frankly, I think is a great idea. Having the chance to relax and have some fun, without having to worry that one of them might be next, will be good for them both personally and academically."

"Mikuni..." Shizuki Chihiro muses at the name, and she asks "Isn't her uncle the representative for Mitakihara in the House?"

Soujuurou nods, adding "Rep for Kanagawa's nineteenth. Good man; got to shake his hand while he was campaigning back in the '09 election. Shame about that scandal with his younger brother, though. I hope the daughter hasn't picked up the same habits as her father."

If he only knew, the things Mikuni has done far outstrip any scandal her father could have been involved in. But, for the sake of your master and her friends, you've got to play it cool. "I've had the chance to meet Mikuni Oriko a few times; she's a real angel, nothing at all like her father. She really only wants to give her friends the chance to relax and have a good time."

The Shizukis nod, and Soujuurou asks "Perhaps you can tell me, then, why this is the first we're hearing about her, if she's such good friends with our daughter?"

"Actually, she's more friends with Homura than with your daughter. But when she was extending invitations to everyone, she said it didn't feel right to leave the friends of her friends out."

Soujuurou nods again, but before he can speak, you hear the sound of the front door unlocking. "Mother, father, I'm home!"

"We're in the living room, sweetie!" You hear the sound of shuffling in the foyer, and a few moments later Hitomi has joined her parents. "Your father and I have just been talking with Archer about your trip."

"Yes. In fact-" Soujuurou's eyes meander around the room; to his daughter, his wife, and to you "-if you'll give us just a few minutes, your mother and I will have come to a decision about whether or not to let you go." Silently, Soujuurou beckons his wife into the kitchen, leaving you and Hitomi alone while her parents deliberate.

"Well, you're still here," Hitomi says, setting her school bag down beside the couch as she takes her seat. "So I imagine you've made a fair impression on my parents."

"You think?"

"I have lived with them for the past fourteen years. I'd like to think I've come to know my mother and father well enough in that time to make the call that I have."

"Hitomi." Mother and father return from the kitchen, and true to their daughter's word, Soujuurou's face no longer wear the mask of the angry, unapproachable demon. Now, he looks like the normal family man whom you had seen for only a few moments after introducing yourself as a fellow archery enthusiast. "Your mother and I have decided to let you go with your friends," he says, earning a jubilant smile and a hug from his daughter as she leaps up from the couch at the good news her father has delivered. He looks to you, and for a brief moment the demon is back, before departing as he pats his daughter on the head, speaking to both you and she as he says "On the condition that you not let yourself slack in your studies while you're away. If you come home and we find out you haven't done all your schoolwork, you're going to be in a lot of trouble."

"Now go get packed, sweetie," Chihiro adds, cutting in between her husband to give her daughter a hug as well. "We'll see you tomorrow night."

"Thank you father, mother; I promise you I won't ignore my studies while I'm away."

Hitomi tears herself out of her parents' embrace, heading up the stairs to her room to get packed. "I'm trusting you to keep my daughter safe," Soujuurou says once HItomi is out of earshot, the demon having once more returned to his face. "Do not violate that trust."

They're leaving right after Homura and Madoka get out of their clubs :p. I'm sure Madoka already has everything necessary packed away for the trip by now, not that her parents would let her slack off on that department right before the trip.

"... And you've got everything packed for tonight, right?"

You are relieved to hear that the Shizukis have granted Hitomi their permission to join the rest of her friends; and your conversation *thunk* with Archer has managed to be less of a distraction to your concentration than you had originally thought *thunk* You've found only minor detriment to your accuracy through your time talking with your servant. "Yes, I'm all packed and ready to head out as soon as I'm done with my club."

"What about Madoka? Is your sweetheart also ready to go once she done with her club?"

"I'd like to assume that she is, but that's something I'll have to ask her when I see hr again."

"Alright team, that's a wrap!" Kasuga-san calls out as your last arrow flies, striking the target *thunk* with a solid bullseye. You aren't the best out of the club, not today, you think, glancing at the targets of your clubmates, but you weren't the worst, either. "Daigo, buddy, what's wrong?" Kasuga-san asks of the lanky, tanned second-year to your right. Pointing to the erratic groupings of his target, he adds "This isn't like you at all; what's going on?"

"It's my sister," Suzuhara Daigo responds, setting his bow down as Kasuga-san places a hand on his shoulder. "She got hit by some asshole on a moped the other day and had to go to the hospital. I know it's just a broken leg, but-"

"I understand." Kasuga-san takes Suzuhara Daigo's bow from him, saying "Go on, go visit your sister. I'll put your stuff okay."

"Thanks."

Suzuhara Daigo heads off in the direction of the hospital, and where one leaves, another comes to take his place. "Homura-chan!" Madoka calls out, waving her hand for you as soon as you've gathered your things. "Come on, we don't want to keep the others waiting!"

Mochizumi-san stops you with a nudge of her elbow as you make your way off the range. "Got another hot date lined up tonight?" she asks, grinning and wagging her eyebrows in a very Sayaka-esque fashion. Gods above, there are two of them now. "You're so lucky. Treat her well, ya hear me?"

"Actually, we're all going out of town for the weekend, my friends and I." Mochizumi-san flashes her approval in the form of a thumbs-up and a massive goofy smile, and you leave her to yet another afternoon of failing to confess her feelings for Kasuga-san. You take Madoka's hand into your own as soon as you and she are within arm's reach of one another, saying to her "Alright, let's head out. We don't have much time if we don't want the others to leave us behind."

You and Madoka had returned to her house to get her things in order, and to allow her to say goodbye to her family before heading out. Sayaka, Hitomi, and Archer were already waiting for you at the train station by the time you and Madoka arrived, and Tomoe-san, Kyouko, and Kure Kirika were waiting with reserved seats for everyone once the northbound train came into the station. "Hey mom, we're on our way now," Kure Kirika talks to her mother over the phone; while Sayaka, who hasn't taken her eyes off of the chocolate-haired girl since the train arrived, scowls at her. "Uh-huh, I'll see you soon. Bye!"

She hangs up, turning to you and the others to say "So, like I said the other day, we're gonna make one quick stop at the next station to pick my mom up, then we'll get off at the Shirome station to grab Oriko and to make our change onto the southwest train to Hakone. It'll be dark by the time we reach the Hakone station, but from there Oriko says it's less than an hour's walk to her beach house." Sayaka continues to say nothing, hoping to bore a hole through her 'enemy's' head with just her gaze. "Come on, don't be like that. This is a vacation! There's no need to keep making yourself angry while you're on vacation." When Sayaka persists in giving no response, Kure Kirika backs off, saying "Okay, fine, I get it," as she gets up out of her seat to wait by the door of the train car, peering out the window as the train pulls into the station to try and catch sight of her mother.

Neither she nor you need to look very hard, for as soon as the train comes to a halt, you spy a woman approaching in the boarding crowd who, save for a few years on her face, is the spitting image of her daughter. Mother and child smile when their eyes meet, and the pair embrace as the mother Kure steps onto the train. You had almost thought that Kure Kirika couldn't show affection to anyone other than Mikuni Oriko. "I'm glad you could make it," she says to her mother.

"It wasn't easy, let me tell you," the mother Kure responds, breaking the hug and letting her daughter lead her to where everyone is seated. "Had to convince three separate shift managers to let me take tonight and tomorrow off. Practically had to beg them, but I'd do it all again if it means getting to spend time with my daughter." The mother Kure stops, her eyes taking on an interested look as she approaches the seat you share with Archer and Madoka. "Well hel~lo," she says, giving a slight bow to all, though you're entirely certain she only speaks to one of you in particular when she adds "I'm Kure Minako; I hope my daughter hasn't caused you all too much trouble." She reaches a hand out to Archer, asking "And who might you be?"

"I'm Archer," your servant replies, accepting the hand and giving Kure Kirika's mother a shake. "Akemi Homura's guardian. Your girl and mine have quite the interesting history together, I'll say that much."

"Oh, I've heard. It's because of Akemi that Oriko's found religion, isn't it?"

"I wouldn't want to accept all the credit for Mikuni Oriko's decision. All I did was give her the opportunity; what she decided to do with that opportunity was entirely her own choice."

After a ride that was, fortunately, much quieter and more free of tension from either Sayaka or Kure Kirika, the train comes to a stop at the Shirome station, and from outside the window you can see Mikuni Oriko waiting. Unlike many of your friends, as well as yourself, she isn't wearing her school uniform. Rather, black jeans and a white turtleneck accompany the rolling tote standing at Mikuni Oriko's side. Your group, which has grown rather sizeable over the course of just the trip up to Shirome, disembarks from the train, but aside from Kure Kirika and her mother, everyone else is left to stand around awkwardly while the Kures welcome MIkuni Oriko and Lancer to the party. Rather, it's Kure Minako welcoming Lancer, as Kure Kirika is too busy showering her girlfriend with kisses to do much of anything else.

"Oh, Oriko, I've missed you so much!" You're no stranger to watching the pair of lovers exchange passionate kisses wherever they please, but never have you had to do so with Madoka in such close proximity. You hope she doesn't think you're trying to tell her something, by inviting her along on a trip hosted by this overly-affectionate pair. Not that you would mind if she did think that. "I just couldn't stop thinking about you at all today!"

"I know, dearest, but please, save it for later. People are staring."

People like Hitomi, who is trying desperately to hide her furious blush after being subjected to the sight of two girls kissing as passionately as Mikuni Oriko and Kure Kirika. "Are they... Are they always like that?" she asks, barely able to stammer out her question to you.

"Yes." And you suspect she'll be seeing a lot more where that came from over the course of this trip.

Mikuni Oriko's response to her lover's enthusiasm is heartbreaking for the daughter Kure, softened only when with one last kiss she says "There will be plenty of time for that once we've arrived at my beach house." The two lovers share a smile as they split apart, and MIkuni Oriko greets the mother Kure. "Minako-san, it's wonderful to see you again. How are you?"

"Work's a drag, but what can I do? I'm just glad to be out of that rat's nest and spending time with my daughter and her girlfriend." She leans in, whispering just loud enough into Mikuni Oriko's ear to say, with only some intentional eavesdropping on your part "You never said anything about Akemi's guardian being a real looker."

"Mom, don't say stuff like that!" The daughter, on the other hand, you don't need to eavesdrop on to hear. Kure Kirika takes Mikuni Oriko by the hand and, barely able to contain her excitement, bounces up and down on the platform as her eyes scan the horizons. "When does our train arrive?"

"Soon." Mikuni Oriko's eyes meet Sayaka's for a brief moment; neither party says anything, but you can feel the tension in the station air rising. You hope that soon is soon enough.

There's plenty of time before the party arrives in Hakone, so,

Our main duo have finally met the mother Kure, the only other adult in this quest privy to the secrets of magic; and Madoka and Hitomi have finally come face-to-face with just how affectionate our hosts can be with one another. Oh dear.

Sayaka continues to say nothing, hoping to bore a hole through her 'enemy's' head with just her gaze.
When Sayaka persists in giving no response,
"Soon." Mikuni Oriko's eyes meet Sayaka's for a brief moment; neither party says anything, but you can feel the tension in the station air rising. You hope that soon is soon enough.
For the love of all that is holy, please Sayaka don't fuck this up!!!

[X] Plan Road Trip
-[X] (Homura) Talk to
--[X] Madoka
---[X] asking her what's she's looking forward to doing at Oriko's beach house
--[X] Sayaka via text
---[X] asking her to put aside her differences with Oriko and Kirika, at least for the duration of the vacation; you can guarantee that they won't do anything violent to them, especially since they're still under the effects of a Geis. Inform her about the circumstances surrounding why they acted as they did - namely that Oriko was driven mad by constant visions of an apocalyptic future caused by Madoka contracting with the Incubator (which they later found out was based off of faulty information due to her precognition not being perfect, no thanks to the Incubator), and that Kirika's wish to the Incubator caused her personality to be irreparably altered to be subservient and zealous to Oriko - and that you and Mami have been reforming them as best you can.
--[X] Hitomi
---[X] asking her what she's looking to practice in regards to Magecraft while they're on vacation, and if she wants to set up a joint study sessions between you, her, Archer, and possibly Madoka and Sayaka if they want to join in
--[X] Mami
---[X] asking her if she wants to learn a bit of Magecraft from Archer; though Mami's technically already got a version of Projection well practiced, she could use Reinforcement to bolster her combat potential, especially if she gets to a level where she's capable of reinforcing parts of her body drastically amplifying her physical abilities and durability many times over
--[X] Oriko
---[X] offering her the same thing as you offered Mami; you don't think it would be safe to offer it to Kirika due to her general disposition as she might gravely injure herself in her brashness and overeagerness, at least not yet
--[X] Archer
---[X] asking him how long he would think it would take for you to be able to safely reinforce parts of your body if you continue practicing Reinforcement at your pace
--[X] McRemitz-san via text
---[X] asking her if she thinks she might want to go, as you're on their way to Oriko's beach house now
-[X] (Archer) Talk to
--[X] Minako
---[X] awkwardly ignoring her obvious attempts at flirting
---[X] answering any questions about his life that's asked of him, worded as something mundane and normal
--[X] Lancer
---[X] informing her that they should probably set aside a bit of time for their charges to study, seeing as how you promised the Shizukis that they wouldn't completely ignore their studies and schoolwork; you could help any of the Mitakihara school students out with their projects considering your unique expertise
---[X] collaborating with her on the security of their charges
---[X] asking her about who's going to be cooking on what days while they're on vacation; you're willing to supply your skills for this endeavor
