Brockton's Celestial Forge (Worm/Jumpchain)

"The public" can't do shit against Cauldron, PtV solos.

Only reason Cauldron hasn't taken down Apeiron (earlier in his career) or run away and hidden (now) is because he has anti-precog defenses.
The public CAN tho because joe is a blindspot, and SO WOULD THE REVEAL.
He would basicly give out a list of crimes and then let the public JUDGE THEM.

"The public" can't do shit against Cauldron, PtV solos.
While I'm sure Wildbow would power wank it, the public might actually be viable here against Contessa. If an angry mob storms every PRT/Protectorate building for answers at once she can't social fu/physically disable/remove hidden info from every place at once. PTV let's her do almost anything but she still needs to go through the motions of doing it, so creating a sheer overwhelming number of problems for Cauldron because every individual sector of the public wants answers might work.

Not the only reason they also try to be hands off with the bay and foolishly believed Coil when he said he had the situation and Apeiron firmly under control. Plus there was also March running around and causing interference with thinkers.

Also, has Apeiron reached a point where he can bring back the guy who now has access to aura and make him a Celestial Forge affiliate and provide protection to his family?
The question is.....would Chen even want to formally join? He isn't really outed, he seems to be doing fine, his family seems to be doing fine, they seem to be doing so fine Joe caught them in the process of "biotinkering" their second kid with some kinky use of his uniform thrown in.
He could simply stay in.....I think was Chicago? And keep living his life.

On the flipside, if he does join, he is not only part of the strongest team on this particular universe, his daughter and future child get an assortment of really strong aunts/uncles and a big sister that can literally stomp and entire country, in a few hours by themselves.

Thank you for the new chapter but I have to say that like half of the therapy dialogue isn't necessary it's like a rehash of a previous chapter which instead could have been more focused on Joe's therapy. You could have cut out the previous chapter summary bits then stick in Joe's family lunch therapy session

must be handy to have a power that gives "infinite discussion time" when you are visiting your mental therapist... :V

I mean, she has the Doormaker/Clairvoyant combo for that. A snap of her fingers and she is a literal dimension away.

It's easy to forget, but the Joestar family secret technique is indeed a valid course of action if you cant face an enemy head on. As long as you live another day, you have the time to prepare, plan, train and fight back.

Yeah, having the dimensional high ground gives them a nigh-unassailable fallback position.
Shame that it's only nigh-unassailable though, big mistake that.

You sure about that. A horde of people seems like they would be extremely vulnerable to PR/misinformation campaigns that Contessa could use to turn 1 big mob into 100 different groups too busy fighting each other to direct their ire to the prt

Sometimes I wonder, how much Celestial Forge warped reality of the original setting. I am almost expecting some entities to finally crack new things, if its possible, and for stuff to go in even stranger directions.

My best estimate is the remaining chapters are
1 Part 2 of therapy
2 Meeting with Amy due to a "lucky break"
3 Updating Chen on the ABB situation
4 Workshop Chapter 1 covering immediate technical upgrades as a result of strong spark
5 Workshop Chapter 2 covering slice of life, movie night, and everyone splitting off for the night
6 Interlude covering Matrix meeting Faultline
7 Interlude covering Cauldron's current view of things
8 (Maybe) Interlude covering Armstrong and Accord's meeting [WoG is this is happening simultaneous to the S9 attack so it will either be the before it or we will get a reaction to the events of the CF vs S9 after it]
9 Workshop Chapter 3 covering the plan to fight the 9
10 Start of the 9 fight

You left out the fan mail from hell, which is tonight at the time of Joe's trigger, around dinnertime. Given all the stuff Joe has done with souls since the last batch of letters: Making souls, rejuvenating souls, crafting with souls, the language of the universe thing, becoming a god, the workshop becoming an afterlife... Yeah it's going to be a event.

Frankly I expect the devils to send Joe as much as they physical can, just to see what he does with it.

Remember with the Celestial Forge: Words equal Power.

This ENTRIRE story has taken place over the course of April 2011. The decades of perceived time Jow has experienced have likely been the only thing allowing him to manage the PHENOMENAL COSMIC POWER he has at his disposal.

And when Joe reintegrates with the current set of clones, that's a century of memories.

So if this was real life instead of a story dude should offer his therapist a one year working vacation in the simulated world over the next two hours so he has time to slowly work through all of his issues instead of only touching on 2 to 3 topics like it seems he will be forced to do here. Could just make the offer at least.

Normally that might foster something like a conflict of interests, but since Joe has a automatic manipulation detection Perk there's no risk of that.

He might want to make it easier for his therapist to get therapy.

Spiral is also helping as Gurren Lagann shows it does not respect bravado, she proper deep mental health improvement is a requirement for unlimited cosmic power

It's like the hype man of mental health
