So I went and visited Iowa and Midway this past week, and I have no idea how to share my photos. How do I do that?
Get an Imgur account, upload the files there. You should be able to do it all at once and make it an 'album'. That way, you just need to embed a single image, under a spoiler of course, and we'll get all the photos.
My only problem is it shows the same ship twice.
One's a sea destroyer, and the other's a space destroyer. Silly 7734.:V

Here are the photos I mentioned
You may have even seen @Nicholas on Iowa, and not even known it. And, the photo of an Iowa's munitions brings back another question I had earlier. Firecrackers when? They would have been perfect for the Woody Island Assault.

Fun fact, the V-2 they launched off of Midway's deck was plucked from the home of Operation Paperclip's fruits, here in the Tularosa Basin. They used to fire a lot of the things around here, for various reasons, and there's even a tail fin and engine at a museum, the New Mexico Museum of Space History, as well as a full rocket and gantry on the White Sands Missile Range itself.

Nah man. It doesn't matter what you want, this is America. You get more destroyers.

Cruiser? Nope, just Fletchers.
Battleship? Fletchers with a Benson on top playing FCC
Carrier? Murderball of Fletchers throwing Clemsons at things.
Submarine? Mahan in a swimsuit.
Heavy Cruiser? Allan M. Summer holding up a pair of Fletchers
Destoryer? No, just a box. Inside? Catapult rated to throw Gearings.

I did say ALL of the Fletchers

Now I'm picturing the summoning ending with something like SCP-2559-J, but with Fletchers, Gearings and Sumners instead of kittens.

No, that's the Emergency Button where they go to Bath Ironworks and say "Open the doors. You know which ones."

And then you could litterally walk across the seas of Destroyers.

And on the third hand, considering it's been shown that the Destroyers really do care about Gale, can you imagine just what sort of damage they would do is someone actually hurt Gale?

On the other hand, the sheer amount of DAKKA all those Fletchers would output on a directed target ought to appeal somewhat to her inner 'MURICAN! imo.

. . . now I actually wonder if it would be possible for All The Fletchers to target the same thing at the same time, or if some of them would be out of range due to the sheer number / unable to target due to other Fletchers being in the way.

Hm. Max range of a 5"/38 is 16 KM. It wouldn't be that hard to spread all the Fletchers in a formation that would let all of them target something with at least one gun.

Oh, god, it would be like the Army of Anubis out of 'The Mummy Returns'! :o

And that depends if the person manages to get away from Washington first!

Washington would just start to throw the fletchers at the offender.
The good old Fastball Special.

Washington: They're getting away! :o
Johnson: Throw me! :)
Washington: What? o_O
Johnson: Throw me and I can catch them! :)
Washington: . . . OK?
Johnson (Being tossed): ROOAAAHHHH!!!! :)
Jersey: That's it. I'm confiscating their comics.

You know what? Screw it.

If it could have, the Abyssal Light Cruiser would have laughed as her bow sliced through the waves, a Destroyer on either side. Soon, she would be entering a fjord which lead to a small base. Even in the low light, she could see her destination up ahead. Grinning, she imagined the screams from the humans once her and her Destroyers were done, their blood flowing to the sea.

At that thought, a pleased shiver ran up her keel.

Quickly shaking it off, she glanced around for any signs of someone having spotted her, only to see nothing. And there, up ahead, was the fjord in question. On one side was a small, rock covered in bushes. And the other was a rock wall. Ignoring them both, she continued to sail and was soon between them...

Which was when the first explosion happened. One of her Destroyers exploded as it slammed into several mines. She was just about to make a hard turn when her other Destroyer went up from torpedoes. But from where!? Where the heck did those come from and-

Several minutes later, the last of the remains of the Abyssal sank beneath the waved, her bridge shattered by gunfire and hulled holed by both torpedoes and mines, including one that was tossed onto her deck right at a turret. For a time, there was nothing before a head poked out of the bushes and blinked. On the other side, a female form, the same color and seeming texture of the rocks also moved as both stared at the spot before giving each other a thumbs up. That done, the shipgirl hiding against the cliff seemed to vanish as she stopped moving and the other one sank back down into the bushes, moving slightly away from the corrupted oil slick.

Yes, that is a thing:
Swedish Cruiser Göta Lejon

Too bad New Orleans isn't around.

I was legit confused and thought the first one was just a rock wall painted to look like a ship to confuse people until I took a third look.

The Swedes embrace the camo.

You underestimate them at your own risk. Poor Dreadmom can't keep track of her DDs.
