Alright, I have a passing knowledge of actual WW2 tech at best, but I'm looking at the U-511 and Wisky situation and I don't see the doom and gloom the thread is crying about. Is Wisky in danger? Yes, but all U-511 is going to get is one salvo of torpedoes off and as dangerous as that is I don't think it's enough to make sinking Wisky probable. Possible, yes, but not probable.
While the edges of the Caribbean Sea are very shallow, most of the sea itself is quite deep, well below U-511's rated dive depth. I'm assuming that MSSB has probably increased U-511's dive depth somewhat, but not by massive amounts. This is the big assumption that the point of this post rests on, if MSSB lets the Abyssal U-511 dive as deep as it wants then this post falls apart.
For her to be belly down on the sea floor and in a position to hear Wisky's escorts leave, she's within miles of the Panama Canal itself. Probably within 30 miles, certainly within 100. Now, those "ancient frigates" that are staying with Wisky have to have some sort of ASW, even if it's poor ASW, so they can tie up U-511 for a bit once her first salvo of torpedoes reveals she's there.
Panama Canal is critical, that's why Wisky is staying there and not steaming north to engage Sara herself. There is going to have been a significant build up of forces in the area to reflect how critical it is and with the heavy U-boat presence in the Atlantic, there will a heavy ASW component.
With everyone already alert due to the Sara situation happening to the north, I give it 10 minutes for the first aircraft to be overhead of U-511 and helping hunt for her, with how close this is happening to the Panama Canal itself there has to be aircraft that close.
Yes, it would only be a couple aircraft that quick, but it's still eyes in the sky looking for the sub even if they don't have ASW weapons equipped.
After 30 minutes there would be a significant overhead presence, including aircraft armed with ASW capable weapons. Even if MSSB means those weapons are almost ineffective U-511 can't afford to ignore them totally and that's ignoring a plane simply vectoring a friendly Ship-girl/Hovercat onto her position.
So either U-511 shoots and scoots to try and stay alive, or she hangs around to get a second salvo of torpedoes off knowing it's (almost) certainly a suicide run. As an Abyssal it's a toss up which we'll see.
So, it all comes down to that first surprise salvo and just how good Wisky's TDS actually is and if MSSB does anything unexpected to U-511's torpedoes.

I think you could probably play up the fact that Wisky got Kentucky's bow for Abyssal Sads, since Kentucky is almost certainly going to come back at some point. Maybe have Kentucky have some form of Wisky targeting, in that she always tries to get back the pieces of her that were removed.
Perhaps it could influence her personality as well, with her being just a little more cold than most of the other girls, a little more likely to stare long enough to make someone uncomfortable, and occasionally prone to getting angry over tiny things. Otherwise she's fairly normal, as far shipgirls go
