It makes sense to just blow some essential system up, or release a toxin causing rapid death.
Covering all my bases. Bombs need to be set off somehow, toxins need to be released. They require an active controller to take timely action if the Gana go off-mission. In other words, they are fail-safe, where 'safe' means the rogue Gana remains alive and off-mission.

An induced amino acid deficiency kills the Gana if the controller does not take timely action to prevent it. It is fail-deadly, and fail-deadly is what is required here.

At least for a back-up system. Bombs work fine if you need the Gana to stop right now.

There's also the Jurassic Park option, where you make them require an essential protein or amino acid they can't get from anyone but you.
And like them it will work perfectly for nod they will not reproduce at all somehow. nope don't look at those reports they what 200 of them at the end of the week and I and my family like being alive so please don't look at them. - guy in charge of a mutant production factory.

Mostly the gana get implanted slave circuits, based on the same tech as the marked of Kane. Less complicated and reliant on a few specific tags, but reliable.
Oh, so is it possible for said slave circuits to be either hacked, or to be unable to distinguish who it should receive orders from, resulting in them either not doing anything, or going berserk?

I'm sorry I'm so soaked in cyberpunk in general that I just assumed that the rest of this thread was as well.

Alright from the top the various series in Command and Conquer are:

- Dune 2 is the grandfather of Real Time Strategies.

- Dune 2000 and Emperor: Battle for Dune are RTS Feudal Space Operas.

- The Tiberium Dawn/Sun/Wars/Twilight are RTS Cyberpunk (Dark Angel not Neuromancer).

- Red Alerts are RTS Bond Films.

- Generals are Tom Clancy RTS.

The Panopticon is about a rampaging Military-Industrial Complex having a surveillance arm that is so all encompassing that the very concept of voting is pointless. Not non-existent, just pointless. Both GDI and NOD are military-industrial complexes not states in the games.
At this point, this is a derail, but aside from TibDawn, that series isn't really cyberpunk.

In the future, please make sure to explain your jargon when you use it, and try to recognize that people may not agree with you on what genre you feel things fall in, especially if your view is based on being immersed in a specific genre.

Vaguely possible, but this is pretty mature tech for NOD. Default failstate is "don't do anything", I would imagine.

Trying to Mass produce them like anything else will have mistakes and errors? and again nod is not the most caring of how they dispose of stuff so I would not be surprised if there some reproducing mutant population and wild experiments that somehow are alive still about?

Someone speculated that the Director of GDI is covering up what's really in India, perhaps it's mutant-overrun areas or "resurrected" Tiberium life.

One thing I find amusing is how with the 'failure' of the Marked. Nod moved away from cybernetics.

And yet, the Gana are themselves cybernetic.

If nod is still using cybernetic creations then what was the point in sidelining the marked?

Now, granted, there's a whole bunch of history regarding cyborgs in large part to CABAL. Also, depending on how well known LEGION is for Kane.

I suspect one of the reasons why Nod/most of the warlords shifted away from cybernetics was A, it was largely stored/stockpiled Marked, brought online to serve Kane directly, and so the warlords themselves had few cybernetic of their own to use. And B, to remove the risk of cyborg bodyguards assassinating them as happened so famously to most of Nods highest Ranking warlords at the hand of CABAL. With the Caveat that in this instance Nod would be protecting themselves from being removed by Kane if they displeased him/ A LEGION going rogue.

There's been a lot of wild speculation about India, because of a lack of information... but it should be noted that NOD is really good at information control, to the point that we know warlord names because we actually got that in an early NOD Research gacha. I'm sure there is some information about India: It's NOD-controlled, people do live there, etc, but we don't have much useful information, at least in part for Doylist reasons: Ithillid hasn't determined all the details yet.

Perhaps misdirection? We think the Marked were destroyed, but we're not sure. (GDI only retreated from Siberia due to General Winter, and some subterranean caches may still exist). The fact that the Marked serve Kane/LEGION directly might make more sense than deliberate misdirection, considering Kane is currently unaccounted for and, in-universe, we do not know LEGION exists. Given the current, scattered state of Nod, artificial, non-sapient lifeforms make more sense than the Marked. The Marked are canonically reanimated corpses, which some warlords may not have much access to, and it makes sense that no one would want to use living humans after CABAL.

On second thought, I feel like Gana are unable to reproduce. They're engineered and grown artificially, and are used to mount weapons, which themselves are often remotely controlled.

Edit: They're not "likely" engineered, they are.

AP - Several attempted Nod Tiberium heists were foiled over the last month by GDI forces operating in the northwest African yellow zone. As convoys carrying Tiberium from the red zone made their way towards ports for bulk naval shipment to the processing facility at Jeddah, raiding groups of Nod buggies executed multiple feints to draw off escorting forces, then captured the transport trucks, inflicting moderate casualties on escorting GDI forces to boot.

Rapid response forces from nearby GDI outposts, led by the 358th Mechanized Infantry Platoon, were able to catch up to the slow-moving trucks as they attempted to make their way south from the coastal highway. After several high-speed battles in the hilly scrublands separating the coast from the desert, the 358th recovered the trucks, inflicting major losses on the Nod forces, which were unable to execute their usual hit-and-run tactics as they were forced to defend the captured convoy vehicles. Several hundred tons of blue Tiberium were recovered as part of the operation, which would have no doubt enabled local Nod warlords to carry out extensive projects on a strategic scale.

Information acquired from captured prisoners indicates that the Nod forces were associated with the Ten Rings brotherhood faction, a normally low-activity group operating out of the north African yellow zone and in the Mediterranean sea.

A secondary function of the nearby GDI outposts is to harvest the relatively small patches of Tiberium crystals that have been observed in the area, a task to which they are now free to devote their full attention.

Meet the rescheduled Yellow Zones. Now, this also comes with a rejiggering of the MARV hub system because not all of these are equally important.

Neat. Finally my wishes for Yellow Zone restructuring are granted, given that the old system was massively out of date.

Will these new Yellow Zones have variable numbers of MARV hubs? For example, China having a larger number of available hub sites than Hawaii.

Mhm. Makes sense.

Will the locations of the Yellow Zone hubs be changing, or just their allocation to the zones?

I mean. Honestly it wouldn't make any sense to build a MARV hub in Hawaii at all; they're not giant hover-tanks, and the total land area of the islands isn't nearly enough to justify a MARV fleet's attention.

It actually seems like a very obvious place to clean up all the tiberium ASAP, too, because it's a great example of a place you don't want there to be any risk of liquid tiberium coming into contact with lava.

Proposals for alternate names:
YZ-5: South China Sea
I assume this one is for eastern parts of Indonesia, so I proposed "Maluku" instead as a more accurate name.
YZ-11: Colombia
YZ-12: South America South
What's the chunk of the Amazon Outlet called?

YZ-12's name is awkward, I propose something like South Andes - Pampas due to fewer repetitions.
I feel this may result in confusion with parts of Southern Africa we control. I propose something like "Namib - Veld" or "Kalahari - Zambezi"

Interesting. For those who suck with location names, have a map I threw together within 5 minutes in Paint.
