Got to say, I do appreciate how much more.. Kane this approach is then whatever the heck the beginning cut-scene of TT was suppose to be. Somehow, I'm expecting GDI's representative to be the one that has to travel unarmed and without guards into the center of their enemy's power to make an agreement to construct the TCN.

Gdi would refuse that like that is not showing he is willing to negotiate that is a hard demand with no compromise and opening up like that is going to have everyone in gdi call bull and see it being just a bad nod trap.

so .. i might be mis remembering things but i am sure there are a few story`s like this that did not get treatmarked that really should.

also nice story. who that director your talking about.

We rolled the max on the glacier income - 65 RpT. That means we've gone up 80 RpT total this turn, so we're done with our Income goal. The only Plan Goal we need to do next turn is finish one last phase of Lunar Homesteading.

It's not like Nod is a monolith - it's quite possible that assassination was ordered by someone not in on Kane's plans, or who disagrees with them.
The way he was killed is very strange still nod loves to make sure that there involvement is very clear still even if it's a subtle way like that artillery guy that got killed by hacked AA, this was just literally a single guy and a handgun and he didn't yell any nod line or leave any nod signs or propaganda?

Eh, it depends on how you see it. In TT opening, Kane is basically doing a power play- he walks into GDI's HQ, with no guard, with nothing to defend himself *and* brought the Tacitus.

But GDI can't do shit except agree to Kane's demands because Kane has GDI right where he wants them. Kane holds all the cards in that meeting and GDI knows it.

I mean, walking alone into the center of your enemy's hall of power, not visibly armed, to meet with the entire upper echelons of their government and military, and smiling because you know you have them 110% by the balls, and capturing their attention with your presence/charisma, your words, your zeal, and your possession (and ability to interact with/interpret) an artifact of unimaginable power and knowledge, and that doesn't seem like a Kane thing to you? :p

After all, it worked.

Wonder why that initiative first guy was killed because it was said he was part of the moderate side, so unless he was really against the potential deal it feels more like it was not nod?

A moderate Initiative First is less of a drain on InOps and less of a disruption to the GDI body politic. I could easily see Nod/Kane wanting them around to stir up issues.

Gdi would refuse that like that is not showing he is willing to negotiate that is a hard demand with no compromise and opening up like that is going to have everyone in gdi call bull and see it being just a bad nod trap.
GDI might very well agree to send an unarmed diplomat into the heart of a great Nod stronghold at some point in the negotiation process.

However, the actual negotiations will be a negotiation, I'd say, the kind where both parties have to agree to a reasonably prepared and neutral location. Kane, it seems, knows or seems to know that he doesn't hold all the cards.

Of course, that very fact makes it more likely that the negotiations will take some months to arrange (neither side is in a truly desperate hurry yet) and will take place at a prepared, mutually agreed-upon secure location. Since Kane is going to have to be present in person, it's likely that he'll insist on a location under nominal Nod control, but there is likely to be a balance of forces present.

"Why doesn't Kane just use email like sensible people?"
"Oh, he is very old-school. Does everything the old fashion way."
"But we do still have a physical mailbox as well."
"Look, he just loves getting InOps' alarms going off. We know he loves red lights."

thanks for doing that, but if i can what does the colors mean ?,i get green is completed and yellow uncompleted, but what are brown, white and other shade of green ?

Brown is for fumbles. The darker the brown the more we rolled below the average and less of the action was completed than expected. Light green is for actions that needed Omake Bonuses to complete and darker Edit: greens are for actions that are not yet done but did roll above the average and so are closer to completion than expected.

Edit: greens nor browns. I use dark greens for actions that rolled high enough above average to be closer to completion than expected.

Look, Kane just like to indulge his sense of drama. It's about the only entertainment he's got for thousands of years.
Also: would InOps believe it was Kane if he didn't demonstrate access to the secrets of high-ranking GDI officials? There must be copy-cats everywhere.

EDIT: Video game streamers with Kane AI voice changers. Is Kane thankful for all the false alarms InOps has to deal with, or seething as some Blue Zone Yankee memes in TibCraft?

Two other things.

First, it sends a message "I have this much kompromat on one of your guys and I can casually expend it just to send you a note. Imagine what I'm not expending."

Second, as the Decaffeinated Owl points out, it's a framing that makes the message believable. There are plenty of cranks out there who would be happy to send a message "from Kane," be it a stupid weird computer virus or just a fake. I wouldn't be surprised if there are multiple people who have used some combination of plastic surgery and other shenanigans to impersonate Kane at one time or another, though I imagine that that ended very badly for them in the long run. Any deranged fucko can write a message and claim it's "from Kane," and a significant number of Nod's nastiest fanatics might take Kane's name in vain in an attempt to sabotage GDI's diplomatic structure, but just about only Kane would do this.

Also, Kane would definitely have an interest in making clear that only Kane gets to say 'from Kane'.

There's always the heretic, the apostate and the non-believer who would risk his wrath, but when you are in charge of a nation, who gets to undersign what messages with what name or title is very important to enforce, as it lets people determine how much priority a message should receive from who sends it.
