So is being captured going to hurt our reputation or does the fact we're not known to be a fighter help a lot?
Well, our reputation isn't that bad as it would have been if we were on the level of Steffon or Gerold because of three factors.

Everyone knows we are decent with a blade and are the squire of a knight of the king's guard... however we are a known diplomacy dude of the realm, who is a polylinguist and never really mastered swordsmanship like our companions did. So they will say we need more training with a blade for survival.

The second reason was that we were ambushed by Spotted tom, one of the dudes of the Brotherhood of twelve who has a long list of people he has killed (close to seven hundred personally due to his career as a mercenary), so he's a very good fighter, and could easily overpower most opponents, lowborn or Highborn.

Third, they had fucking wildfire that spooked damn near everyone. They would consider it a pass because wildfire on the battlefield is a clusterfuck waiting to happen.

-[X]Your father coming to you. The Report came in as the ships were landing in the Disputed Lands. Mayles was coming with a host of 50,000 swords, including the entire Golden Company. He was afraid and gave you a rune to protect yourself in battle. (1 year later)

As much as I dislike Petyr Baelish for all of the trouble he caused in canon I very much enjoy the idea of Littlefinger gaining political influence in the Vale because his father was a nice guy. I can easily see Arstan fostering Petyr at the Eyrie with his children because his dad helped save his life here today. A terrifying thought but hilarious and intriguing in its implications.
But would Peytr even be the same man as he was in canon if we raised him? Would he even gain the political will, the obsession and the drive to be as ruthless and terrifying as he was in canon if he was raised by us, a potential childhood hero?

Though I might still throw in shades of it because... reasons. We might have kids he lusts after us instead of Catelyn.

I think your right but I do think a large part of his issues come from not Catelyn but how the whole issue was handled. He got his ass handed to him by Branden Stark giving him a permeant scar that still hurts to this day. Then was kicked out of the place he called home for most of his childhood, and then was probably shamed further by Jon Aaryn for embarrassing the Vale. All that combined is what made him bitter and obsessed with what he thought he deserved.

[X]You and Ser Gerold were transferred to the Lannister Fleet, and you saw Tywin, Steffon, and Aerys again. You were en route to the final Island under the Brotherhood's command.

Nice, we are definitely befriending Marq now I would say, having him around could end up being very useful.

As for the vote, I'm more inclined to picking staying and choosing the Reinforcement Arrival from the Lannister fleet and Dorne. It isn't a huge time skip being only 2 months and would give us time to further improve Arstans skills and also give us a chance to play a bigger roll in the War.

But at this point Plan for Success seems to be snowballing so I will probably pick that instead, it isn't really a bad one either since it means Jon is killing Spotted Tom but I think 5 months time skip is a bit too long, I just hope we get to pick what Arstan has been doing for those 5 months.

Well pretty much anything that isn't running away with our tail tucked between our pegs is good. Gotta get some martial accolades here.
