[X]Learn to Talk: You hear the strange words being spoken by your father and the other people here. Words that have meaning, that have context. You wish to learn to speak.

[X]Learn to Read: Maester Gerald left a book open, with letters on it, and words. You wish to learn how to read.

[X]Learn to Walk: Your body feels strong, strong enough to go on your two feet.

It seems my votes are not in the tally. Though in all but one it doesn't matter but I do support learning to read as soon as possible. If Jon wants to stay away let him while we become the good lord.

While I agree we shouldn't get too close to Jon so we don't become like him all that much, he still can teach us a lot.
Reading can wait until we are a bit older...Wouldn't want to completely stupify everyone by being a 1-2 year old todler who can walk, talk AND read :p

Yeah... I don't think Jon is going to be staying away for too long. After all, once the next Blackfyre rebellion is finished, we're gonna have quite a few years of peace. And then Jon might get over his... issues with his deceased wife and try to be a parent.

Yes, plus we won't have time to spend with Dad when we're older since we'll be off adventuring. Might as well raise our relationship now, and not worry overmuch about him later on.

But come on! BE the child prodigy you know you want to be! Besides reading is a great way to learn about shit that you know we won't be taught.

You can be a child prodigy at three too. Like that's a better age to start reading at. Since we'll actually be able to hold books in our hands.

The next Blackfyre rebellion is the War of the Ninepenny Kings, which Arstan will very likely participate in as a squire.

Heres something for you.

Dear old Dad.

Uff. Yeah, let's not be Jon 2.0

Edit: Other then the Master Administrator and Brave trait he doesn't seem to have much he could offer us.

Hey, Jon was he one who was hand of the king for a while during Roberts Reign and did an okay job at running the place, reckless spending not withstanding.

I wouldn't call it a "Ok Job" tbh.
He was more focused on keeping the status quo then doing his job, with allowing the Lannisters to praticly run everything, having Dorne be a pretty much independant Kingdom, having traitors in the small council which if he put a bit of effort in should have been atleast somewhat easy for a man such as him to find out about. That's not even mentioning how he allowed Big Boy Bobby B to become such a wreck.

Edit: In short, Jon Arryn was a weak-ish man who became even more so in his old age.

Not saying he was perfect, in fact, I'm saying he's far from it, and if there were better options, and if Jon tried to step out Lannister influence, then Jon should have done it.

Problem was, He didn't do it. And his actions caused all hell to break loose after he died.

I just think that he was an old man who was... maybe not the right man for the job.

But now, he's a young man, in the prime of his life, and is going to be able to teach us shit.

Or ship us off to someone who can. Who knows?

Yeah, it's why I personaly think that atleast building a good relationship with him now is so important. The more he likes us the more he probaly will be willing to do for us or even let us influence some of his decissions in the future :)
