As An Eagle Flies (A House Arryn Quest)

The Region Report Post war: 3
The Region Report:

The Vale:1D100 => 49

Nothing new to Report, at least nothing that you do not already know about.

Reward: Status Quo.

The Riverlands:1D100 => 46

Hoster Tully has disinherited his brother Brynden, saying he is no longer worthy of the name Tully for refusing his orders… and his commands to return home to Riverrun and marry another woman.

Reward: Brynden is disinherited for his choice in marriage. He is deeply saddened by his brothers actions.

The Westerlands:1D100 => 16

The Reynes of Castamere, and Tarbacks of Tarback Hall, have risen in Rebellion. Lord Lannister has called the Banners, to face the rebels down in the field.

However, it is also reported that a large shipment of gold was gifted to both houses by an unknown group, along with arms and materials.

The Tarback Squires of Casterly rock, have killed their masters and fled to their homes, taking up arms against their liege lord.

Two sons of Roger Reyne, Rober, and Ryan, however, refused to leave the services of Lord Lannister, and vowed to fight against their family to restore their honor.

The other Lord's of the west have only sent token men and forces to the Rock… leaving only Tywin and the Lannisport Lannisters, along with the new knightly house, the Cleganes, battle ready, and fighting.

Tywin will not forget this slight.

Reward: The Reynes and Tarback Rebellion has begun. Almost all the Lord's of the West have agreed to sit this one out, and Tywin does not like that one bit.

It seems that the Lord's will come in to rescue Tywin if he appears to be failing, for a price of course. Like, forgiving their debts.

Someone is supplying the Reynes and Tarbacks with Weapons and Gold, and they are not from the Westerland Lords.

The North: 1D100 => 58

Absolutely nothing of note happened in the North.

Reward: Status Quo.

The Reach: 1D100 => 33

The Reach had a poor harvest, and have requested aid from the crown…

A Dire omen to be sure.

Reward: The Reach has been struck by blight and are suffering from a poor harvest.

The Stormlands: 1D100 => 90

There is something to be said about the great Keep of Storms end… It's scale, it's magnificence… it's total ability to withstand anything.

But it's people are what make the Keep, and the stormlands, what it is.

And Steffon, has made sweeping reforms within the society of the Stormlands. Lands that were unused or underutilized were separated, made smaller, and new families were settled on those lands.

Wealth began flowing in.

Reward: the Stormlands have entered a golden Age. For the next 5 years they will see an increase in income, goods exported, population growth and in productivity.

The Iron Islands:1D100 => 32

The Ironborn have a mutiny on their hands. A few survivors of the War of Twelve crowns wish to throw them off the Step Stones.

Reward: A rebellion in the Iron Isle Stepstones has begun.

Dorne:1D100 => 97

Dorne has rallied 15 thousand men, under Prince Doran Martell, and sailed across the Narrow Sea again, to the Three Daughters. Their intent… kill the survivors of the Brotherhood of Twelve, and bring an end to the chaos in the disputed Lands.

They smashed host after host with their spears, and are now poised to take Tyrosh.

Reward: The Dornish are not waiting for anyone's approval, and are in the disputed lands kicking ass, and are preparing to take back Tyrosh, and install a new Westerosi Friendly Archon.

The Wall:1D100 =>53
The Wall, is as always… quiet.

Construction is occurring, men are being trained, and the cold is still there.

Reward: Status Quo at the Wall

The Crownlands: 1D100 => 60

Aerys is being a good king, all be told. He has agreed to declare the Reynes and Tarbacks Enemies of the realm at the request of Tywin, but he also will not send troops to squash it.

His advisors told him that the Warden of the West must be the one who squashies this rebellion… not him.

Reward: aerys Helps Tywin wherever he can, but will not get directly involved in the Rebellion.

The Three Daughters:1D100 => 2

The Dornish striking them broke their spirits. The Brotherhood lost many members and many men in their attempts to defend their territory.

But alas, they failed, and have retreated into Tyrosh to make their final stand.

Reward: Many members of the Brotherhood were killed during the Dornish Attack. The rest have fled into Tyrosh to defend from a siege.

???:1D100 => 59

"The Brotherhood have failed."

"It matters little. The Reynes and Tarbacks are now up in arms… soon, the young Lion will reveal his true colors, and all will be afraid of him."

"And our lady in the east?"

"Which one?"

"The one in place… the one that can disturb the peace in the Vale?"

"Her services are not required just yet… after all, Lord Arryn intrusted Lord Arstan to rule the Vale in his stead. He will fail."

"And what of the mountain clans… They have invited a Valeman for the first time in history. Lord Arryn."

"Oh come now old friend… the mountain clans will use that moot as a meeting to break guest rights and kill Lord Arryn… Their barbarians after all."

"And if Lord Arryn makes peace with those barbarians?"

"He won't… it's impossible."

Reward: Plans and gears are spinning.

The North is that guy who is just sitting in his own little chair while everything around him is on fire. Everything is going to shit and the Northerners are like "Do you hear something?"

In the Vale: The Badge and the Burden
In the Vale: The Badge and the Burden

Your father looked at you closely as you watched the small convoy of Valeman continue towards the River road, and then, towards the capital.

"You don't have to go." You stated as he looked quietly towards the mountains to your back. "You can always send another raven."

"I have been called to court Arstan, to serve as master of Laws." Your father replied as he adjusted his seat. "I may not be a spy as I once was, but my mind is still sharp." He then gave a small laugh. "Sides, you might enjoy being the Lord of the Eyrie while I'm gone, and wish me to stay in the capital until my dying days."

You frowned as your father laughed at his own joke. "That's a terrible joke father."

"Better you than the babe." Jon stated, looking back to the carriage carrying both Rowena and Alyx.

"Father." you groaned.

Your father than gave you a tap on the shoulder, with a smile on his face. "Arstan, stop worrying about me, and staying alive. I have made peace that I will the gods deem me ready." He then sighed. "The only thing I worry about is you. But I don't need to, because you are ready."

You gave a smile. "I'll make you proud father."

Your father nodded. "You already do. Don't forget that." He then began to ride back towards the convoy.

But then he stopped and turned around. "Don't burn the Eyrie down while I'm gone!"

Then, he left, down the road towards King's Landing.

(You have 7 Actions)

Duties: These Actions are duties you can take to help Run the Vale.

(You must choose 3 Actions)

[]The Eagle Descends: The Mountain Clans have Sent a Representative to you, saying that they request you and your family's audience for a moot. They are deciding whether to bend the knee to the Dragon and the Eagle, or to rise up with another to fight you and the Valemen.

[]Balance The Books: Your father has always been a dutiful record keeper… however, now that you are in charge, you must be prepared to… fix any discrepancies. And end the wasteful spending.

[]The Faiths Finances: The Septon of Gulltown has come to the Eyrie to request more funds for it's renovation of the Sept… Normally Lord grafton would be in charge of that, be he claims that Lord Grafton was embezzling funds from the Faith itself. Troubling.

[]Partake in the Council meetings: You are going to partake in your council meetings, as is your duty as lord.

[]Prepare Winter Stocks: You will prepare your granieries for Winter, as is tradition.

[]Patrol the Eastern Road: You shall gather the knights of the Vale, and patrol the Eastern Road, to protect it from Mountain Clan raids, and bandits, and other vagabonds.

[]Survey the Realm: Your father is no longer able to Survey the realm on his own, and you will need to do it yourself. You shall visit the Holdfasts and towns and keeps, and update the maps your father uses. (The map will continue to Update.)

[]Drill the Garrison: The garrison must in top shape for raids, defending, and maintaining discipline.

[]The Census of the Vale: It has been nearly Three Years now since the Men of the Vale have gone to war… and it seems your father forgot to send out a census when he returned home. By the Seven, did he forget it on purpose, or did he believe little changed in the year you were gone at War.

[]The Bow Dispute: The Hunters and the Corbray's are arguing about Broken Bow pass again, and they have requested that you hear their case, and decide on the issue.

[]Gather A Stockpile of Weapons: The Eyrie does not have a peacetime stockpile of weapons, having been exhausted during the Brotherhood war. You will need to replace it.

[]Oversee The Road Construction (The Northern Road. Salt Pans to Strong Song): The Northern road connects Saltpans, to the High Road, to the North through the Mountains of the Moon. This task is difficult by the terrain, but the Valeman has built far more difficult constructions. (Note this action lasts for 5 turns, and if you do not oversee it, it will continue on without you.

[]Oversee The Road Construction (Gulltown to the Fingers): The Road will be less difficult to oversee than that of the Northern Road, but is far more dangerous. The Burned Men have been known to burn trading caravans through those mountains.

Personal Actions: You have time to spend on yourself.

[]Build a Retinue: You want to create a retinue of sorts, to assist you in your duties and in your travels around the Vale. (Note, this will Generate a Random Retinue of Locals from Around the Eyrie, you will not be able to build it yourself via events from other actions, or from keeping.)

[]Spend Time with Your Father: You want to spend time with your father, outside of an official capacity.

[]Spend Time with Rhaella: You slowly realized that she was giving you that look. Of course, trying to look into her eyes as she lay in bed… with her dress discarded on the floor, made things very difficult.

[]Explore the Eyrie: You have not been home in a very long time… you want to memorize the entire layout of the castle… just to be safe.

[]Ride with The Order: You shall ride with the order, and fight the wickedness and evil of the world.

[]Negotiate with the Mountain Clans: You shall bring peace between the Mountain Clans and the Valemen… Better men have tried… but they were not you.

[]Request to Travel The Realm: You wish to travel the Realm, to fight in tourney's and win honor for the House of Arryn. (Note, if you do this, you will gain more actions, but you will not be able to do duties in the Vale until your journey is deemed finished by you)

[]Request to Go on a Foreign Tour: You wish to see the world and all of its wonders. (Note, if you do this, you will gain more actions, but you will not be able to do duties in the Vale until your journey is deemed finished by you)

[]Correspond with Friends: You wish to write a letter to a friend of yours. (Please line tail the friend you wish to send a letter to)

[]Travel to Uncle Yohn's: Uncle Yohn has sent a letter… saying that your blood is very valuble.

[]Go to Gulltown: Marq must be bored out of his mind being back from the war. Maybe you can convince him to work with you? If his duties permit him, of course.

[]Travel to Fingerton: Your newest vassel and war hero, Tormo Balish must be working hard to deal with expanding Fingerton, and dealing with… The neighbors.

[]Plot: You want to start a Plot (Enter a Plotting Miniturn)

[]The Black Pearl and the White Dragon: Your daughter wants to see the Black Pearl. She thinks it's pretty.

[]A Gift From the Wall: It seems… Rhaella's Great Uncle? Aemon Targaryan has sent a gift to Rhae. Might as well see what it is?

[]Add the Statues to the Sept: The Statues would be better suited in the Sept, rather than in your room.

[]The Adventures of Daemon The Rogue Prince Part 1: You began to read the Journal. And were surprised to see it was of Daemon the Rogue Prince, after the Dance of Dragons.

[]Buy Items/Gear: You have quite a bit of money from the bounties from the War… Maybe you can invest that money into something useful for yourself.

[]Train in Martial (Command): You will study the masters of old, learn their secrets, their strengths and avoid their weaknesses.

I want to help Tywin. I don't know how to do that. I'm hopeful that the plotting Miniturn can allow us to plot to aid Tywin.

First things first. Tywin can take care of himself, we don't need to butt into that just yet while we clearly have better things to do so I don't know why people are so eager to deal with other peoples problems instead of our own first.

This plan makes sure we deal with the Mountain Clans, the road option should have us fighting the Burned Men who are one of the more vicious Clans around. Ride with the Order is basically the same thing, showing of that we can and will win a any fight against the Mountain Clans should give us leverage in the negotiations.

The Grafton thing is rather odd...especially since Marq is such a good friend to Arstan so that's why I'm willing to spend an action investigating these embezzlement claims.

A Gift from the Wall could be a number of things...Dark Sister, a Dragon Egg...Bloodraven is said to have gone North with such things so I'm eager to see what it is.

[X]Plan: The Vale First!

Tywin has not asked us for aid. Don't butt in because feudal politics can backfire easily. This being a quest, the dice is a harsh mistress.

[X]Plan: The Vale First!

If Tywin cant handle it we will help but Tywin is not the type to appreciate being helped at first sign of trouble, once he is in serious trouble yes, but minor nuisances he can deal with himself. and wont appreciate if we start to butt in right now

[X]Plan: The Vale First!

Tywin's in a bind but I think he'd feel insulted if we tried to help in an internal Westerlands manner. We need to keep our house in order before fixing that of others'.
