It's really past time that we sit down, and devote several actions to inventing a non-Warp FTL drive.

And since we already have all of that subspace tech from star trek, we can easily (for a primarch) get an ST warp drive working (Also called a Cochrane Drive, and iirc, has been described as a subspace distortion drive before)

No, that's not something the setting really allows for.

FTL travel on any reasonable degree is either stupendously slow on the scale Warhammer operates on, or piggybacks off of some precursor tech to get around the normal dangers (Webway being one, and I think the Necron Dolmen Gates abuse the webway network somehow)

runes baby, just gotta figure out a mass effect to allow ships to enter physical FTL, maybe a anti inertia rune with anti mass rune?

40k FTL is not that slow its exactly as fast as the plot wants it to be.

Runes don't completely change the game you know.

They're a ridiculously potent asset, but not an "I Win" button that can do literally everything without much effort. I'd say getting a safe, mass producable FTL method that's actually useful on the scales we need to operate on is as much of a 'Win" condition as developing a friendly Warp God that can contest the Chaos Gods.

In other words, the moment you're about to pull it off, the endgame starts as Chaos flips the table to wreck your face.

40k FTL is not that slow its exactly as fast as the plot wants it to be.

Warp drives work that way, which is why everyone but the Eldar and the Necrons use some variation of it. They actually can operate at the necessary speeds, other methods are too slow (Like the Tau's skimmer drive bounces off the upper reaches of the Warp instead of going into them, but they're slow as balls compared to a proper Warp Drive, it just works for them because they're barely two or three imperial sectors in territory)

That won't fly actually, the physics that let that work in Star trek Don't work in Warhammer 40k

Which adds up to 1500 points, I think. Basically, what we were lacking most in our latest battle was enough big guns to take down Space Hulks without a super-powered, teleporting Primarch boarding and disabling them all herself. Also, we won't always have the opportunity to skirmish like we did here--Dreadnoughts give you excellent standoff range firepower as well as great brawling capability.

I did the math. This build will have our fleet perfectly balanced (15-75-150, 750 points per class) in two turns.
Also, Escorts are made wholesale, not just hulls this time.

V3.0 Added tripling specs whenever applicable and some ideas to the "didnt make it" list.
[] Preliminary Tech Subplan Enerael V3.0 (triple the specs whenever applicable):
-[] 2x Crystal/Rune of Learning and its applications. Or work on whatever concepts are needed to make it, if there are any (there shouldnt be.).
-[] 4x Time dilation chamber/suit/artefact/psyker technique (likely utilizing our Time Crystals/Runes) whichever is the most effective/viable to help us get more things done.
-[] 2x Improve Computers (Probably software and security could use the most improvement.)
-[] 2x Improve Gellar Fields by combining them with our Crystals.
-[] 2x Forge Ships. Massive reactors and replicator bays, meant to resupply our voidships and armies and aid in the technological uplift of planets.
-[] 2x Orbital Elevator. Cable made of segements capped by adamantium locks and antigrav generators, an orbital station, and construction/maintnance vehicles. It should be possible to exchange a segment by anchoring the two cable ends to a powerful antigrav vehicles temporarily. Due to its segmented nature, should be shippable to other worlds. Make sure that the segments can be disconnected with a signal and that they will automaticly use their antigrav to guide/soften their landing. Put many redundancies on that.
-[] 2x Better shipyards.
-[] 2x Improve Mining Ships. Also make sure that they can work with the Forge ships easily.
-[] 2x Anti-corruption measures for our machines/electronics. We know that warp horrors can corrupt machines, and we hope to make heavy use of automation/drones/networking in the future. Make sure that doing so would not be inviting a disaster. Maybe Purity Rune shaped circuits?
-[] 2x Better psyker infrastructure. Especialy make it easier to produce Psytech (crystals, runes, etc.).
-[] 2x Improve Replicators. (We have improved our reactors immensely. Lets work on the other part of our industry.)
-[] 4x Adamantium Mass production. This is a must for countless reasons. Combine with the above action maybe?
-[] 2x Long Range Teleportation. We can now combine enough runes to do this.
-[] 2x Touch up on our older inventions. We are far more skilled and experienced now. Whichever we can improve on the most first.
-[] 4x Control Stat Booster Crystals. We need all of these that we can get and more besides.
-[] Improve Voidships. Whichever way we think the most viable/effective.
-[] 3x Improve Soulstones. Making them viable for all Eldar would be BIG. Like, stupidly big. Now reaching for Human ones also.
-[] Last year we were very close to the next tier of the runes we were working on. Finish that up and then work on the Communication rune.
-[] Finish up the first tier of Orichalcix. And learn to fail, there will be plenty more of that to come.
-[] Willpower Gauges. Next tier is close and Beta psykers are OP.
-[] Antigravity. We are far better at it now.
-[] Minor Works: Practical
-[] 3x Work on combining the Self rune with another.

Stuff to do that I cant fit in:
-[] Combine Learning Crystals with our Stat Boosting ones to make them enhance our training instead of giving us the stat. (should give a bonus to training and allow for crits. Also the Learning Crystal alone might give bonus to our other stat training.)
-[] Orbital Orc Suppression System. An orbital sensor net (including gravity sensors to detect tunnels (we have those today btw)) combined with orbital craft equipped with precision orbit to surface bombardment weapons (rods from god preferably, but whatever works. Big ones to break hardened targets, a spread to wipe out an area, etc.). Meant to detect Orc buildups and wipe them out before they can grow enough to be troublesome. Or call the army on them if they fail.
-[] Soul Mirror. Helps people (especialy psykers) with self reflection/discovery, resulting in better growth, willpower, and progress towards their Self Rune.
-[] Improve Void Strikecraft.
-[] Improve our Energy Shields.
-[] Carriers. (gravitic accelerators for launching their strikecraft maybe? Speed is everything for those, and magnetic ones are limited by what the pilots and strikecraft components can withstand. Gravitic catapults cause no Gs.)
-[] Rune of Restoration. Shouldnt be hard when we have Time already.
-[] Runes of Heat and Movement to complement our Light, Space, and Time.
-[] Runes of Life, Body (they may be a bad idea due to Nurgle though?), Mind, Death, Cut (KSBD anyone?), Truth, Destructon/Deconstruction, Fate (or Predictability), and more.
-[] Rune/Crystal of Peace. Should do some damage to the Orcs WAAAGH field. And Khorne.
-[] Crystal of Focus.
-[] Laser collimators made of Focus Crystals.
-[] General Genetic Improvements. Focus on civilians. Ivanor might offer some inspiration? And our newfound understanding of our biology.
-[] Attempt to combine the Penetration Rune with the long range teleportation array/our teleportation psykery to allow our teleports to bypass void shields.
-[] Improve our Void Kinetic/Projectile Weapons.
-[] Use Penetration Crystals to design Penetrator void munitions.

-[] Telekinetic Body Reinforcement Technique is the study of the forces produced by and affecting ones body (and equipment) and manipulating them to, for example, allow ones body to move faster by moving/boosting it with telekinesis (instead of/in addition to boosting the muscles with biokinesis), reduce G forces affecting it, or spread out incoming kinetic energy over a larger area to lessen the damage. Includes the ability to transfer kinetic energy between the body and an object/enviroment by touch, mostly for added traction and sometimes to take energy from or dump it into the enviroment, though great Control (and very little Power) is needed to make full use this.

Thoughts?

-[] Develop better solar panels and any other easy passive energy generation that can be safely produced by any replicator.
Solar energy is far weaker then fusion. Not worth it.
-[] Overhaul all infrastructure with replicators in mind with special focus on forge and Hive worlds to eliminate pollution by conserving all matter to be reused as mass for the replicators.
That should have been already done by someone, us during minor actions at least.

-[] Develop infrastructure with the idea of providing easy, efficient transfer of mass for Replicators acoss your buildings, cities, and worlds.
Not worth our attention. Others can do this.
-[] Develop infrastructure with redundancies in mind. Such as using passive power generation to power buildings when electrical grids get taken down.
We have fist sized fusion generators. Our power grid should be very decentralized.
-[] Redesign hive cities with more space efficiency, power saving, and general appeal with the goal of making them more self sufficient.
Hive cities take many generations to build, they are megastructures. It is something to do, but not urgent considering the slow payoff, and the longer we wait the better tech we will have to intergrate.
-[] Design the concept Crystal of {Anti-fungal} and {Cleaning}
Anti fungal would almost certainly consist of Anti and Fungal, both of which are BAD idea. Cleaning? Why?

Why? We have enclosed Hives.

I hope the enemy's get buffed because I don't want our character to become a special snowflake who defeats all her opponents with as little effort as possible and serras needs to learn some humility because pride cometh before the fall and I could see her and this thread getting cocky thinking that they can defeat the Chaos Gods themselves seriously don't even think about it we will be dunked so hard it won't even be funny i'll be surprised if we lasted 10 seconds against them.

We're a Primarch and this is a local Waagh it makes sense that we would ROFL stomp them harder enemies will probably come later.

This is a sector waaagh just to warm us up eventually there will be shit that will cause us to lose worlds in fighting it. Maybe Necrons, maybe a massive Hrud migration, potentially a massive deamon incursion that we don't have the intrigue stats to detect, or maybe and aggressive expansionist humanity remnant with DAOT tech they barely understand how to use.
 
Can we set up a Ork Cleansing Task Group as a major action that would go around all our planets that have Orks and clean them up or is it just to gamey?

Yes, also. I believe the list of actions I said you could do was investigating your Primarch-glands/organs, investigating the cogitator, setting up psychic choirs, looking for your brothers, looking for Space Hulks, and cleansing Thernus of Orks/ setting up an organization to clean them out. Did I miss anything?
