I wonder... do Orks *really* speak that terrible english dialect, or do people who talk with Orks hear their words in a painful-to-listen-to dialect of the listener's own language?
 
In the grim darkness of the future, only british people exist with everyone else consigned to their respective planet of hats (assuming they get one at all!). What I'm trying to say is....could be both? :oops:

They don't, the Orks have their own language, though some that can speak Gothic do mangle it more-or-less in the same way that the memes have them do so.

But generally, Orks speak their own language and can't be arsed to learn Gothic. The exceptions are usually Warbosses and the odd Kommando here and there. True...at the same time, most of Orkish language is crude words and gestures, so its mostly intelligible to outsiders (and each other). The higher points of Ork Kultur aren't accessible in this way, but plenty of Boyz don't understand it either.
 
Very curious what will happen if we do get our own space marines and what kinda culture the Legion will gain while under our leadership.

Quite frankly if we can control it's development would like to take a page out of Salammander's book and have marines regularly spend time and interact with homeworld population too make the population see them as more than super soldiers and remind the marines themselves what they are fighting for.

Also likely that most, if not all, marines will be psykers like the Thousand Sons.

-[] Create an agency to handle all the actual hazardous dirty jobs. Be it cleaning a world of ork spores, sponging off the xeno blood off places while collecting samples, all the way to erasing chaos/cult symbols. This agency shall be christened the B.astion C.leaner A.gency or B.C.A. They will be tasked with the dirty and dangerous jobs of cleaning up messes caused by our forces or enemy forces.

-[] Dedicate time towards setting up a Research and Development branch of the government. Dedicated to furthering the knowledge of Mankind they're probably never get close to what we can put out what you can't be expected to solve all of humanities problems.

Weapon tool of choice for the B.C.A. a mop enchanted and engraved with runes and concepts of {purity} and {Cleansing}. The fact that it has a very damaging effect on "impure" beings has nothing to do with it being a favorite.


Another favorite tool of the B.C.A. enchanted with {Solid}/{Impervious} and {return} runes and concepts to make it a solid piece of equipment that can propel it head through the toughest of challenges.


Dubbed the RAD gun. This gun was designed to fire a deadly blast of radiation with a very short half life to make sure it harmlessly decays within minutes after safely exterminating whatever bacteria, fungus, virus, or xeno its pointed at.


The anti fire grenade that releases a mixture of retardant material. It's what it says on the tin. Perfect for suffocating the most stubborn of fires and xenos.


The cleansers a sub branch of the B.C.A. When a mop just won't cut it. They send in these guys. People in Power armor wielding hyper pressured containers of different custom Cleaners for any situation. Those Cleaning liquids being anything from Bleach, all the way to fire. All gear reinforced with runes and crystals. Perfect for crushing the nastiest of Xenos.. I mean messes.


The Cleaner loader: a utility loader that allows a cleaner to easily and safely lift heavy objects.

Demolition mech for all your destructive needs. A fan favorite of the B.C.A.


This antigravity vehicule is the champion vehicule of the Cleaners. Able to house all the vehicules and personnel a situation would ever need.

Think that finding the Primarchs near us is an obvious choice. Especialy since with all the butterflies we may want to get to them as soon as possible.

I haven't seen any evidence that governmental reforms, school reforms or this BCA is necessary...

Also, we have a few projects that we haven't completed yet, like the human equivalent of wraithbone, for example.

We get nice bonuses by doing them. It's especially good for getting more people under your sway when people Want to join you and people already joined you don't die. Also making a paradise would really cut down on potential chaos worshippers.

Not finding the Primarchs near us as soon as possible seems foolish. As mentioned we made a lot of butterflies so we can't just rely on them being fine without our intervention. Especially with all the anti chaos measures we are making.

@ilbgar123 in the event that we run across some dark eldar and one of them has a shadow field, after we kill them can we reverse engineer it so that we can make them for us and our champions?

IIRC, we used technology transfers as, well, bribes to bring new worlds into the Bastion, as well as accelerated teaching tools. Not to mention, our homeworld is a highly-advanced one that already has an excellent education system (otherwise it wouldn't be highly advanced).

Also, IIRC, the Bastion isn't one big government yet, just a mutual defense/trade pact, so what you suggest would be like toppling governments. I'm not sure if it'll work. You should run your actions by Ilbgar, I think.

Pre-fall eldar had the problem that a huge number of them were masochist who knew no idea of moderation. On the other hand as it is Hive worlds, and Forge worlds are complete shitholes that are a hives of corrupt chaos cultists made out of the disfranchised and dispossessed. All in all the eldar are the eldar humanity is humanity trying to compare prefall eldar and post age of strife humanity is like comparing pears to oranges it's a bad analogy

Plus it would do Serras and any brothers she finds some good to socialize with each other before meeting Emps.
 
So do you guys have any idea for what we should do as the "vacation" option? I was thinking of having either an option that sets up a sector wide technology competition that pits peoples inventions against each other. Going from selecting people from city vs city>large section of planet vs large section of planet> planets vs planets.>Solar systems vs solar system. With the winners getting to have personal invention time with us with agents looking to fund people throughout the competition. Or just going a regular family outing like camping or something.
