Aiding the E.G.G.M.A.N. (Sonic)

Since Robotnik is making a Fortess Model with Zeta, and these two are utterly incapable as they are compared to Gamma, I'm thinking we actually want to change both of their chassis. One to Hover, one to Hydro. Tank would be useful too, but it would be my third choice, and since we've only got two E-series to go around...

I'm thinking a Hydro model could use the Stealth and Sonic Blast upgrades, as well as either the Water Laser or Lock On upgrades. Just not sure whether more attacks or more accurate attacks. Of course, Sonic will likely try to force it out of the water where Stealth and Sonic Blast will be useless, so do we fit an 'in case of emergency' Missile Launcher, or just have the robot have as a high priority getting back in the water?

For the Hover model upgrades are easy - ALL OF THEM! They just fit.

I'm guessing that the Tank model is based on Omega, and the Hover model is based on Beta's upgraded form?

Oh is that Skill Patch upgrade tempting. Even some of Gamma's skills would be great to have. But the thematic hilarity of making a Hover and Tank model to pair with Silver Sonic is just too great to pass up. Let's make our own Sonic Heroes team.

[X] Plan Badnik Heroes
-[X] Delta
--[X] Tank Model: A treaded Variant of the E-Series and one directly bellow the Fortress Model in potential firepower the Tank Model is the slowest of the E-Series that remains mobile with exception of the Hydro Model on Land. It's primary weapons in combat are two colossal arms mounted on it's sides and a pair of machine-guns mounted near the head. 10 Points.
--[X] Force Shield: Mounts a force shield on the Tank Model capible of granting it temporarily invulnerability. 10 Points.
--[X] Point Defenses: Several smaller turrets mounted on the turrets that excel at shooting smaller targets... Still to slow to deal with Sonic unless he is stunned sadly. 10 Points.
-[X] Epsilon
--[X] Hover Model: Close to the frame Model the Hover Model was recently thought up by the doctor and gives the E=Series using it aerial mobility alongside powerful claws for both attack and defense. 5 Points.
--[X] Energy Blaster: A large Energy Blaster capible of devastating large areas either with a succession of smaller blasts or a charge up larger one. 10 Points.
--[X] Missile Launcher: Launches missiles from the hover units back. 10 Points.
--[X] Forcefield: A rainbow colored forcefield that helps to defend the hover unit from harm. 5 Points.

If we go with Tank over Hydro (which, wasn't there a Chaos Emerald or Chao Egg or something located underwater that the Hydro might come in handy for? Don't remember), then the Force Shield is a no-brainer, which only leaves 10 points left. That's either the Flamethrower + Missile Barrage combo, or any one (1) other upgrade. Point Defence wouldn't catch Sonic unless he's already stunned, but might come in handy for some slower animal heroes/any shenanigans Tails tries to pull. A Main Cannon would let the 'bot do large AoE attacks, which have a chance to catch even Sonic if the area's large enough, but has the downside that the entire robot would need to turn to fire it, telegraphing its attacks massively. The Shoulder Cannons would seem to be a middle-ground between the two, slower to target while doing more damage than the Point Defence, smaller AoE and less damage while more nimble than the Main Cannon. The Flamethrower + Missile Barrage gives area denial that can shut down approaches from at least one side close-in, as well as some long-range small AoE spam that's less telegraphed than the Main Cannon while likely travelling slower as a downside.

Does the tank model have anything that can stun Sonic for the PD guns to ventilate him? I mean, the Main Cannon would presumably stun him if it hit close enough, it's just a matter of doing so - plus the fact that Main Cannon + Point Defences + Tank Model leaves no room left for the Force Shield, which I'm pretty sure is a must for survivability to cover the limited areas on it not covered by thick armour from quick exploitation by the hedgehog.

Hmm... for now, I'll stick to one Hover, one Hydro, until someone can let me know if there's anything we'd specifically want the Hydro model for or not.

-[X] Delta
--[X] Hydro Model: A heavier variant of the Strider made for underwater combat, this specialization unfortunately leaves the Hydro Model compairitivly slow on land but allows it to move with incredible grace and speed under the water. While not as powerful the Hydra Model terains durabiltiy second only to the Tank Model weather on land or in the water allowing it time to escape back into it's preferred environment when caught out on land. The standard weapons of the Hydra model are it's sheer size and a torpedo launcher. 5 Points.
--[X] Water Laser: A powerful weapon that fires water out as obsene speeds, more powerful than most normal weapons but it needs water to recharge. 5 Points.
--[X] Stealth: The Hydro unit becomes invisible to the naked eye while in water. 10 Points.
--[X] Sonic Blast: The Hydro Model uneleass a powerful pulse of sound at an enemy, naturally it is more powerful under water and nearly useless against Sonic himself on land. 10 Points.
-[X] Epsilon

My main idea is that even if we don't pair them with Silver Sonic, we should keep them paired together rather than as separate units, allowing the Hover and Tank models to cover for the weaknesses of the other. This has the added benefit of making them that much more unlikely to be taken down by Gamma, who's far more used to 1v1 combat with the others of its series.

It would help if you specify the frame change. Like this:

Whoops, yeah - thanks!

Honest question - do you think we'd be allowed to keep them together? Robotnik doesn't seem to be a big believer in using two Boss-level robots together, and while he did give us these two to do what we wished, I'm unsure how he'd react if we proposed to have them work together. If we can it's a good idea, but I was assuming we wouldn't be able to, hence why I didn't make any effort to have complementary designs on my go.

Well if they could be together then it would be interesting to see how Sonic and Tails will handle the two, but if they are separate then we shouldn't get the tank or fortress cause Sonic can run circles with one being slow and the other hardly moving at all.

I think you might have picked the wrong model for Delta

Large qualities of Dakka and accurate targeting( or maybe predictive software) should be enough to make up for their lack of speed.

Unfortunately we would only have 20 points left to pick for upgrades cause the Tank and Fortress cost 10 points, so unless we can get some more points we won't be getting much for the two Models.

[X] Plan: Grand Striders
-[X] Both stay as Strider Models
-[X] Jet Booster: A magnetic attachment on the back of the Strider that allows it to hover. 5 Points
-[X] Skill Patch: Data recording from Gamma's Battle with Beta, it won't allow Delta or Epsilon anywhere near Gamma's own demonstrated capabilities but it will improve them somewhat. 10 Points.
-[X] Second Gun: A second gun on the Striders other arm. 5 Points
-[X] Gatling: Replaces the Gun on the Strider with a faster firing Gatling variant. 10 Points.

Disregards alternate forms to get us the maximum amount of points to spend on upgrades, giving us a pair of highly skilled, highly dangerous combatants. Jet Booster supplies mobility, Second Gun+Gatling gives our Bots an utterly insane amount of damage output, and the Skill Patch ties it all together with the requisite experience to use all of the new upgrades effectively.

Could've made it even more Dakka heavy by swapping out Jet Booster for the Laser, but felt that the additional mobility was worth the slight loss in damage capabilities.

I'm kinda banking on the hope that the Gatling upgrade applies to both guns if Second Gun is bought as well.

I like this set up, as the Hover Bot can herd or blast Sonic or anyone else into the water, where the Hydro Bot can finish them off. The Hover Bot can stay above the surface to blast anyone who tries to get out of the water or resurface.

Question but should we add Delta and Epsilon to the info sheet with the other Badniks?

Basically @KidFromPallet 's idea but swapping the 2nd gun for a shield.

[X] Plan: Shield Striders
-[X] Both stay as Strider Models
-[X] Jet Booster: A magnetic attachment on the back of the Strider that allows it to hover. 5 Points
-[X] Skill Patch: Data recording from Gamma's Battle with Beta, it won't allow Delta or Epsilon anywhere near Gamma's own demonstrated capabilities but it will improve them somewhat. 10 Points.
-[X] Shield: A physical shield attachment to the non-gun arm of the Strider the Shield increases survivability. 5 Points.
-[X] Gatling: Replaces the Gun on the Strider with a faster firing Gatling variant. 10 Points.

Well we can't get both the second gun or the shield cause the shield could only be hold in the hand, and the second gun would replace the hand anyway.

I will, just was a bit busy today. Gonna start copy pasting stuff now.

Research Sheet is up to date, did something different this time. Instead of copy and pasting the Frame options to both Delta and Epsilon, I made just one big section in the To Be Researched area for all E-Series Frame options. I hope that was okay.

If we get the option to apply different Frame's options to Epsilon and Delta than what we give them now down the line I'll seperate them, but right now it just makes sense to me to keep all the Frame research options under one big Too Be Researched bullet.

If that's not working for whatever reason, just tell me and I'll change it.

[X] Plan Badnik Heroes

lets do it, might need to program in a teamwork modual though. :V

Alright question but does anyone have any ideas on how to destroy Gamma once he turns traitor cause I'm sure that he would try to search and destroy Delta and Epsilon, cause I would like to see the one of the E-Series fight against Sonic or one of his friends before they get destroyed by Gamma.

[X] Plan All-Terrain Badniks

Also I think we should try and reprogram Gamma to stay loyal to us, if not we could just send another Badnik to take the bird from Amy.
